  1. Morning guys, unfortunately I will not be able to attend today. Sorry for the short notice and will sure be there for the next meet. Have fun and enjoy the weather.
  2. Sorry mate, I don't have clue about that but what they mention is that is the base price. Next to it is - final price but that is blank. I expect there might be some taxes or something on top. Look up Jurgen (JMimports - I think) on here and see if he can help with importing it if you're interested. I see you're in Finland but he might be able to at least give some advice if not more.
  3. No worries mate, glad to have helped. If you're going to be in that office for a while and want to get the job done find a company to do this end to end. There are plenty of companies out there that will come by, quote you on the job and then sort everything out - from parts to laying cabling neatly and making sure everything works as it should. More expensive but at least you won't need to worry about it. Also, not sure what router you have but if it is whatever the ISP provided you might want to look into a business router. Last tip - check on your VoIP security - am aware of case where someone ramped up around £4k worth of calls in about an hour.
  4. The car is in Japan - price on page is in Yen 2 390 000 as base price (~ 15k GBP). May be a stupid question but does anyone know what that thing on the rear bumper in photo 9 is - looks like a big nasty spot
  5. Yup. you're right. I am in the same position - have Netflix so must've thought of that. Will most likely get Amazon once they start the show...or I might have a ftp server somewhere and can download some files on it that might do the trick
  6. Far, have to disagree. Top Gear is anything but a car show. It is a show, they do have cars in it but far from a car show. Presenters made it work in that format. If the new guys keep the format people will stop watching soon enough. If they do something different...well we'll see. I am more curious to see what the old guys will be doing with Netflix. Loved Friends so Matt may bring something interesting. Can't say I saw that coming but hey we might be in for a treat.
  7. When it comes to POE I think Cisco is your best bet - you can find decently prices POE switches. Look for a 48 port one that has 24 POE ports. Should future proof the business for you and will also give you enough power for all ports. Cheaper switches might not have enough power when you use all ports. Check the 200 series as they are good value. Also I would not recommend injectors. Whilst they might sort out your current switch it is more of a botch job than a solution. If your business relies on it you really don't want to tweak with it too often. Also mate if your IT team recommended or installed that switch might be best to outsource this to a company that know what they're doing. I by no means an expert on the subject and am not trying to sell anything here but how the hell did they miss something like this. Cheers, J
  8. Hey far, Few questions that may help you: Is the switch POE? Can it supply POE to all ports (had switches that couldn't handle all ports at once) - try and use the switch with just one/less cable/s and see if it helps. Other small/stupid mistakes - cable type -anything less than cat5 (if you can still find any), cable length - switch to phone over 100m
  9. Morning guys, Not a Supra owner yet but on the look for one. Would anyone mind if I tag along this Sunday and get to know you, see the cars? Cheers, J
  10. Awesome car, congrats. I would leave those as they are. They go really well with the car and match your calipers.
  11. Welcome Gojira, Looking won't cost you anything but if you want to post (more than 20-30 posts you will need to become a member). Also if you want to post in certain threads (eg: classified) or PM anyone but a mod you need to be a member as well. Have a look here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?82442-Club-Membership-Details-Including-Trader-amp-Hobbyist-Membership-Rules
  12. Appreciate the advice and offer. You never know might actually keep you to it I also go with my gut when it comes to cars - with the current one I kept looking and searching but when I saw the one I currently have it only took me 2 seconds to decide. Went to see it the same day and drove it away and hour later. Looking back I was a bit stupid - saw the car at night, the guy was selling it on behalf of his brother and was giving the turbo a thrashing from cold but luck has it in over 2 years I never had any issues with it so maybe the gut feeling works. I'm in no rush to get one. I was going to wait until later in the year as I quit my job without anything lined up but luck has it that I'll be starting a new one at the end of the month so can now grab one should it come up.
  13. Thanks Dnk, Looking again over the ad, the comments so far, bodykit (not my first choice), DVLA has it as a 96 he claims its a 99, mileage...might be best to keep my eye on the forum and maybe something comes up. Unless I am very lucky and someone around here actually knows the car I doubt I'll even make a call. Again, appreciate the answers guys.
  14. Cheers Mike, Appreciate the answer. I noticed the points you made as well - also mentions small damage to front bumper but I didn't notice any in the pics. Mileage - may be due to the engine swap he mentioned. Not expecting it to be perfect but the price as opposed to my budget would allow me to sort out bits and bobs. If anyone on the forum could help me with a viewing that would be awesome - I have to admit that despite reading the new buyers forum it is very likely to miss some very obvious things.
  15. Hi all, Just found this online (also on pistonheads). From what he put up there the car seems great but I was wondering if anyone knows the car or the guy selling it. Not a fan of the big cloth hanger he has on the back but hey, you can't have them all. Any opinions/advice welcome. http://www.classicandsportscar.com/classifieds/classic-cars/toyota/supra/toyota-supra-3-0-non-turbo/5207614
  16. To the dyno Next - sort out a tired donkey.
  17. Welcome, nice project on the way...hope to see it returned to its full glory. Don't think I've seen it done before around here but it might be interesting for a lot of new members (like myself) to also see the cost involved in such a project. Cheers, J
  18. Is the banana's bhp at hub or wheel? Might just make it worth it...
  19. Cheers, doesn't look too bad. Needs some tlc but can be made into something nice. Unfortunately it is not the time for me. Need to sort out the job first. Hopefully the "right" one will come along.
  20. You can have that with a much newer car, I'd say that's nothing in 3 years. I'm don't know much about Supras so I think I'll keep my eye on here and hope something comes up.
  21. Cheers mate, That is part of the reason why I am looking for one as stock as possible. If I want a daily driver the last thing I want is to work on it every other week or think twice if I'll get somewhere. Mods are great if you garage it and only take it out for a bit of fun and events. My plan is to keep my eye out and ideally get one around Apr-May. I am currently in between jobs and I'd rather have the money in case of rather than tied in a car - wish I was 20 again and not give a F$#k Maybe I'll get lucky and someone around here wants to change their aero. I know there are only auto but that's fine. I might even have some more put aside and can up my budget. I'll try and make it to a couple of meetings and get to know some of you. I am more than impressed with the amount of answers and how helpful everyone is.
  22. Too close to boyz toyz or whatever they call themselves nowadays. I'm in reading...is there any other meet besides the Basingstoke one? Don't think I can make Feb one....only weekend day I have work duties
  23. Hey guys, Thank you for all the replies, I am surprised by all the answers i got on a new member thread. Not sure I can make Feb meeting due to work arrangements but will sure try. Kamasupra, I would buy that at 4k today...I saw the one in Scotland but being in between jobs I will wait till I settle down....Apr-may would be ideal for me time wise. Mpg - better than expected, I tend to have a heavy foot so 20 mpg is just fine. I would rather have a lower power car that I can take to the limit than too much and be afraid to use it. Pe: had a few pints so will review this tomorrow and apologise where needed. Cheers, J
