  1. I am not an anti auto guy, my supra is an auto and my daily a dsg. Id love an r35 but i cant afford one. Im hoping that the next car will stay a long while so id prefer a manual box when the world is turning to auto and electrification
  2. Thankyou all for your thoughts, R35 GTR, love these, ive driven a few and really rate them. I have also witnessed bills for tyres and brake discs pads! Sheesh! Wouldnt get one within budget. Rs4 b7 are a nice car, id have a saloon. My best mate used to own one, nice looking and sounding too. E92 m3, i used to own one. Thought it was brilliant and a lot of the common faults have been rectified now. Think the same as 996 911 and the ims bearing issue. Its high on my list to be honest. 996 911, one id like to tick off my list but i cant see the rear legroom being an improvement on the supra. M2 looks a good car but an e92 m3 has that engine!! Evo ix, they are pulling a premium right now, a week before race wars......no doubt a brillian car though. Best mate had a 550hp one, it was devastatingly fast. Mustang 5.0, sound great, look great, manual and a newish car for budget. Vxr8, great engine but i think the chassis may let it down compared with the other cars listed. I think with the supra gone, id have a budget of around 30k to spend.
  3. Thanks rider for your thoughts, i should have clarified its still a toy im after. At the moment i cant attend cars and coffee or shows in my nice car because we cant fit (i like spendibg time with my wife and kid) I want that but on the odd occasion i want to hit an A road and enjoy it with mates still. Anyone else think supra parts are getting ridiculous expensive, which kind of prohibits a good blast out. I have a skoda superb estate for dad duties and long distance treks.
  4. Thanks for your thoughts, i have owned an e92 m3 a few years back. I enjoyed it but like you say they have their faults (all cars seem to ) id buy one that was sorted. Servicing is expensive if you want to maintain fsh, can diy for about a third the cost. As the supra is a dream car, most cars will be a downgrade in most departments.
  5. I have been thinking of selling my supra this year, maybe enjoy the summer with it one last time. The reason is....children. I always buy cars to use them, my first child is 2 now and i tried her forward facing for the first time. Theres literally no space in the back for her, i always thought this was the case but hoped otherwise. Kid #2 is on the way so i fear the car will be used even less. Which leads me to the dilema, what car next? The supra is a dream car but at this time of my life its just not being used. I know if i sell, i'll never own another. The shortlist at the mo, is civic fk8/2 (maybe not special enough) evo x, wrx sti import and maybe an e90 m3 if i can find one. The mo is manual, fun when i want but also easy enough to get kids in and out. Love to hear your thoughts and idea's
  6. I've been meaning to look at mine for ages. I did today, shocked to see mine are near mint. I think theyve been replaced in the past or my car was even more of a garage queen than she is now
  7. Oh right, thats garbage anyways.
  8. Do the pressure tanks have a vsv attached to the cage, what does that control? Mark supra is yours £20 posted or under
  9. Hi, does anyone have a good used pressure tank i can buy. Ive tested it on the car and it wont hold the required bar of pressure for a minute. It drops steadily by about 7psi over the minute. Because of the position of the tank im not 100% sure the pipes are fully seated (cant see it) so a good used one i can test off the car would be great.
  10. I have since had a fault repeat on me. Second turbo wont react sometimes. I managed to remove the pipes to the pressure tank, tested the vacuum a few times and it wont hold 17psi for a minute like it should. Its dropped 6 psi in a minute. I think my pressure tanks had it, has anyone changed one, it looks a bitch.
  11. I have a rear boot lip spoiler for my supra. Its not a carbon fibre item like the one on whifbitz but visually the same. Its currently wrapped in dry carbon fibre wrap. Fits well held on with double sided tape, a good fit between the trd spoiler uprights. Im looking for £80+ postage for it. If this seems expensive, im open to offers.
  12. I have these oem boost pipes, hard pipes are all in very good condition but with the age of the rubber pipes i cant vouch for them. Im never going back to stock side mount, so... Looking on nengun, part numbers are as follows; 17363B - i have 2x of these for some reason. 17362B 17361J 17341B Im looking for £50+ postage for all of it. If this seems expensive, im open to offers or will sell individually
  13. I was looking at a classic policy due to the car being over 25. No other reason than that. If i can get an agreed valuation with limited mileage for less than i currently pay then im going to do it. I thought by asking what we are all paying we could get a ballpark figure. I know your postcode affects insurance premium more than most factors.
  14. Is anyone insuring their supra on a classic policy, what are we paying and with who?
  15. Ahh right, i wondered what was originally in there. Lexus diff is a good option i suppose, not got the supra tax on it as much. Im considering changing my auto to manual, will probably use a r154 because the ratios suit the current diff.
  16. What diff are you using with the v161, i know they made a v161 n/a which i assume had the na ratio?
  17. What tim are you looking at leaving the hotel on saturday to head to the visitor center? Id like to tag along and meet some folks and see the supra's.
  18. I have an old momo milenium, old but gold. Good condition for age and period correct
  19. Ok that sounds fair, if you want to pm your address and payment will be bank transfer preferably but can do paypal if you want?
  20. Yeah i would be, i have no idea what they're worth though?
  21. Just been to the garage and checked. Isnt even a traction button i have its an active spoiler button. If the lights on id hope its the button stuck but more than likely a fault with abs or stepper motor on the throttle body? Think thats how it works?

  23. Let me have a check tomorrow, that may be the one i have. When its pressed it says snow on the dash display?
