  1. And what is meant by inferior? I want something soft. Mine's not going on track and every car fitted with "coilovers" I've been in has been too harsh for my liking.
  2. Care to elaborate? I haven't bought anything yet
  3. I've heard a lot of good things about bilstein shocks and eibach lowering springs. That's what I'll be changing too in the near future.
  4. Was looking at one of these but I have stock smic. Does it not fit?
  5. 1. Blythmrk 2. Ellis 3. Mike2JZ 4. Mattdavies - 1 5. Ian Ian x 2 6. samdale
  6. How do you figure? Are you wanting the FACE of the gauge to fully fit in the hole or something? AFAIK, gauge size is based on the body of the gauge so a 52mm gauge will fit in a 52mm hole and the face will be say 58mm so overhang the edges of the hole. The hole in the facelift dash panel is ~62.5mm so you want a 60mm gauge, which will have a ~66mm face.
  7. Same. No change buying new blocks. If I'm carrying something in one hand, I've developed a technique of turn key, lift boot using shoulder under spoiler, remove key, lift boot with hand
  8. Took the Supra in for its MOT the other day and it looks like my local garage have cracked one of the skirts at the jacking points. Garage have agreed fault but after some advice on how they'll need fixing. I have a preferred body shop that could do the work but I'm guessing the garage will want to try it themselves. Horror stories put me off the latter but they are a well trusted local garage that I'd like to continue using. I'm after some advice on the likely required fix. Glue? Plastic weld? Paint in situ? Remove skirt to paint? I'd also like to know where I stand with what I can and can't ask for. Any advice much appreciated.
  9. You read correct! No BC, just FCD and intercooler have been fitted so far. Installed before my ownership is blitz NSR cat back, blitz turbo timer and an old defi link unit with boost gauge. Edit: I've been plenty fast enough in it that I would have hit the original fuel cut pre FCD install.
  10. Car is vvti TT6. It's been off the road for a little while, whilst I do some work to it, fitting BPU parts. The only one that should have made any difference in I've fitted a CW FCD. Cats are still in place currently. Doing pulls in 2nd or 3rd gear seems pretty normal, both turbos coming online as they should and making ~0.8bar boost. However if I try this in 5th or 6th I noticed boost increase to 1.2bar (where I let off). I thought with the restriction of the cats still in place this wasn't really possible? Obviously I'll be taking it easy until decats, wideband, BC and fuel pump are fitted but in the mean time, what's happening?
  11. That'll be great if you have. Even better if they can be posted pronto. I need to buy tyres and don't want to buy any for the aftermarket wheels on there currently. I'm going away in it a week on Saturday
  12. Bumping this rather than starting new. After a full set of 20 OEM nuts. Open to recommendations for aftermarket equivalent too
  13. I've had the dash in various states of "plugged-in-ness" and indeed it was the action be spoiler at one point. Thanks for the link to that thread though, a good slam of the boot and I'm golden! Wish me luck For MOT tomorrow!
  14. I have a spare spoiler ECU and have changed that. The light still persists
  15. Haha, I do. And that's what I'm currently dismantling the dash to get at. Seem to remember having it before...
  16. More relevant stuff. I've had the dash apart. I've had the battery out
  17. Car is a vvti TT6. Checked for fault codes and EML flashes constantly so no codes. Topped up brake fluid too. How many other millions of things cause this light? FWIW the throttle body, idle etc all seem fine.
  18. May still available from Mr T. The heater matrix ones are and I think they're the same. Part number 84999-10250
  19. Vice versa. Vvti is moulded onto the airbox, UK has separate pipe Basically, I've only seen a vvti box not a UK one. However I very much doubt they are compatible.
  20. Are you sure? How does a vvti airbox attach to a UK spec MAF pipe?
  21. Goes around the bottom of the fan. Like this only in 1 piece. And one of the little clips too.
