  1. What are you going to do with your old cam cover?
  2. Cam cover looks great. Very nice. Just need to get the rest of the engine bay clean now!
  3. I want to return my Blitz SUS air filter to being very clean and shiny, and most important get the filter part free of all the little bits of dirt. Anyone got any advice on how to do this? (Please don't say "Replace with stock air filter" ... ) - I've heard that getting an air duster is the way to go to blast the dirt out. Any other ways?
  4. I'm sure I asked a similiar question a while ago and was told that just unbolting them would be fine. Best wait for someone who knows what they are talking about to respond first though.
  5. Glad you've sorted it mate. Nice to find a cheap fix.
  6. Is that two seperate units or is it the combined one?
  7. Pirate Bay are the one to use. They have recently been pulled over by the Swedish police and got away with it. (Hence why their site is now titled "The Pheonix Bay") All totally legal on their site. They also hold no records of who downloads/seeds what, so no comebacks. It's the only one I'll use. (The others are good too though)
  8. Thanks for posting the map. I'll be there at 8:30am to get started on the wheel swap. I'm guessing it'll take about an hour and half. Perhaps afterwards we should find somewhere photogenic to get some decent shots of the new wheels? I'm so looking forward to getting the new rims on. Can't tell you how much. Now I've just got to work out a way of fitted 4 wheels in the car .....
  9. Is anyone interested in meeting up in Colchester on Saturday morning for a mini-meet? I'm having my new wheels fitted at Andersons Tyres in the morning, which for me is a huge event! Can't wait to see them on the car.
  10. I need somewhere to sort out a rusty wheel arch and some bubbling around the windscreen.
  11. Thanks for the info. You know any decent bodyshops in Essex?
  12. Try Quick and Easy Wash (QEW). I use this alot and it's highly recommended in car detailing circles. Quick and Easy Wash
  13. I'm not disputing that there are unresolved issues and I can't discuss specifics because I don't know the full picture. I'm just asking that this bad-feeling is managed and not promoted. It's very easy in an online environment for these sorts of things to get out of hand.
  14. I 2nd that. I have to say that I'm fairly disgusted with some of the comments in this thread. Could we leave it out please. I'm a member of both clubs. Both have the right to function. Neither deserves ridicule. The moderators on both forums have the right to run it however they see fit. It makes me sad to read some of these comments. I, for one, am looking forward to JAE. I shall be parking on the MSOC stand (as I did last year) and I shall be making a point of spending some time over on the .net stand because I know some great guys there. Please don't promote bad feeling, clubs are made up of members and those members want to enjoy participating in online forums and attending shows without tension and bad feeling. I don't want to dread going to JAE because there might be hassle between the two clubs.
  15. I had been recommended to get one of these.... Oil Filter Remover
  16. Thanks for this thread. I'm going to try my first oil change in a few weeks time and it's good to see some of the pitfalls. (I'm utterly mechanically inept!)
  17. That made me chuckle. Nice one.
  18. That's funny. And true. I'm finding that my revs are very low at the moment because the wife has snatched the Supra and parked it at mid-term at Stansted airport for 5 days. Bloody typical!
  19. Details of removing tree sap here:- Autopia Clicky
  20. IMHO Double de-clutching is only really useful on down-shifting and really only worth doing when you are using toe-and-heel. I used to have great fun in my old Focus doing this.... then I grew up and bought the Supra .... which doesn't have a clutch.

  22. The only time I've managed to get the RLTC to perform badly was in monsoon style rain, loads of surface water and I decided to cane up a slip-road on the 2nd turbo. That got rather snakey snakey. (The guy in the Merc next to me looked more worried than I did. ) Apart from that incident I think RLTC is worth every penny.
  23. I'd go for #3 but without the hole in the bonnet. Out of interest, what front lip is that?
