  1. What's the original colour? Odd colour to spray a supra, never seen a baby blue one before
  2. How much is a new one out of interest? And is it oem?
  3. Imagine the costs to set this up even if its injection moulded, plus the little clear plastic inserts for the top panel. considering whifbitz sell the manual surround panel for £242 and you're getting 4 main panels for £744 plus tax n postage, I'd say it's cheap, especially as you cannot get these anywhere else brand new. A lhd set brand new will cost well over £1k
  4. I didnt think it was to bad considering they're brand new and some people sell a heated seat switch or steering wheel for the same or even more these days
  5. There's a company in the UK that build the boxes for srd, I cant remember their name but I spoke to them last year. Paul at PCheshire Automotive might be able to point you in the right direction, alternatively he might be able to do it himself
  6. Yer you can't take them out in the rain once all that works gone into them, although I did get caught out in France, but first and last time hopefully lol. I originally wanted red underneath but paul said if you're going to drive it and not lock it away then get a proper underseal on it and enjoy it, otherwise body colour will just chip with stones on the road etc, I think there are some clear sealants out there but i believe after time they don't look so good.
  7. Damn wile, I knew yours was under the knife but I didn't realise to what extent! It's going to be cleaner then your lc500! Lovely to see another one getting the full ocd treatment Will it be making an appearance on the next burna drive out to Germany? Still need to get under mine and clean all the muck off from France.
  8. Best road trip ever that was
  9. I think an lsd in the mk4 would have helped massively, still looked pretty cool though! Not sure the stig would have needed guidance on the auto box though, im sure he's driven many different cars over his lifetime and knows his way around all the boxes and cars, maybe if he had a 6 speed he would have knocked 5 seconds off
  10. Seeing as everyone seems to keep their supras under lock and key these days and when I do see them it's only on insta and never on the forum, who's been for a drive in the lovely weather recently? Il start...
  11. You want to budget about 18k, I got the hook up on alot of bits for abit cheaper then normal, spent a touch over 16k myself and got a few bits in the engine done like hoses and rubber parts too whilst it was in. There were garages that quoted me 10k ish for it but when you look deep into their work and you can see why, corners skipped everywhere. Rusty bolts under parts that "won't be seen" lines that are just painted over etc Mine was fully stripped down to every last fixing Paul treats a project as if its his own and sent detailed photos every day it was in there, over 200 hours went into it in the end and it now drives like the day it left the factory!
  12. I've gotta recommend Paul cheshire of PCheshire Automotive, amazing job on mine!
  13. I'm in 2 minds to sell mine. I've had the thought in the back of my mind for years that I want to try other toys but I've made so many memories in my supra that I know I'd regret it. In the past 10 months alone I've spent just under 17k on the underside resto and bits n bobs and I only did this in the hope that it would make me fall back in love with the car, in reality it hasn't and I'm back where I was before I did it all. I guess I'm just bored of it tbh. That and I really want an r8 or 911 turbo, decisions decisions
  14. I cannot believe you got a supra for £1000 in 2022, that is beyond a bargain
  15. Nice, was getting really excited saying "ooo look at that supraa" my work colleague didn't share the same enthusiasm
  16. As above at the last second as I carried on into London I saw a red supra with no sidepods getting onto the m25 at 6 30am? Anyone on here?
  17. Yep 5k is a bargain, you could strip it and sell it for more easily. If its been sat outside for some time it will take a large amount of cash to get it on the road again, but again at 5k I wouldn't worry about that at all. Manual swap wise I'd say you're looking at 10k+ for a v160 swap with big diff, pedals, clocks etc. if you go w58 (n/a box) and small diff then maybe half that. Gte engines are roughly 4k last time I looked I suppose the real costs mount up if you get a competent mechanic to do the work, if you're handy with a spanner you'll save a fortune in labour. Either way get it bought regardless before someone else who see this post gets their grubby mits on it and sells it for 15k after a little service. Good luck!
  18. Brilliant bits of kit, got one myself and its worth every penny!
  19. Nice, the lines of the wheels suit the car well
  20. What size are the wheels?
  21. This is probably the only car (or an r8) that I'd replace the supra with, must have ago in an rcf one day! Yours looks stunning
  22. I'd 100% for for a clean tt auto over a ropey tt manual, parts are a pita to find these days
  23. raddys
