I wish I had gt3 money lol

Hi guys You may have seen my recent thread regarding getting rid of my supra for a bigger spec one? Well I think I've finally come to the conclusion to move on from supras, after owning a few for several years. My replacements I've whittled down to the 2 cars noted above, I know the r8 will probably be slower vs a mapped 911 t but at the end of the day I'm not drag racing every car I see and in my eyes a car being super fast doesnt make it a good car just on that alone, it's a combination of how the car makes you feel/spec/looks etc. Basically my question is to anyone here that may have owned either and has any insight to give on either car? Thanks, Grant

Hi guys On the subject of high stalls, I spoke to lee, he said he doesnt recommended a high stall for any sort of normal road driving as it ruins the driving experience, drag racing only were his words. I've had a quote from lee regarding a small single fast spooling set up And it was pretty reasonable considering the set up he is offering. I'm now just deliberating if I should put a tasty single on or sell it and get something completely different. Cheers for the input though everyone, much appreciated

What is this for? Aircon? I have one which I removed from my supra when I put a new radiator on as my new rad didnt have the fixing points for it

Also no, I have a spare cat for mot time if I did need it however the exhaust has a straight pipe exit midway down the exhaust which opens above a certain psi of boost. so effectively the exhaust gases can escape from 2 areas if the straight pipe is open. When it comes to mot time manually opening it before I go for an mot has always got me though

I dont have many of the inside or engine bay but here is what I do have, excuse the poor quality, more detailed pics/video can be sent to anyone who is genuinely interested As you can see I have gone to great lengths to make this car super clean Dash panels painted satin black (few scuffs previously) Wheels powder coated, the list goes on and on

I see, maybe I need to go in a small single auto, anyone got this sort of set up round the Bedfordshire area? Would love to see how they go? Also what flappy paddle set up have you got? Been looking into that to some time ago, I really wanted the flappy paddle set up with the disco control module but not enough people did so I think only one got made? Wasnt you was it?

This is why I'm reluctant to start modding it, the cost of a decent single is atleast 5-7k plumbed in so if I'd value my car at 22k (high I know) and I add another 7k single ontop I've I've potentially spent 29k and all il end up with is a single auto, ideally I'd spend 30k on an already big spec tt6 or something similar. Like I say I've just put the post up incase someone has a well specced tt6 with a big spec or even a stock tt6 for sale/swap It would have to be mega clean if it was stock tt6 though

Thanks for the replys burna and jim I have thought about this before but wasnt keen on a big single on an auto, reason I say this is because my friend had a big hks twin on an auto and it used to lag alot, so much so that from a standstill I would beat him at bpu 1bar boost to 80mph, after that his car was monstrously fast but it kind of put my off the whole big single on a auto box. That being said it's the only big turbo auto I've been in and raced against so my perception of what a big single auto is not very varied but just my experience.. anyone care to share their big single auto experiences? How it drives etc, I'd ideally like 600/650bhp, nothing to big as the lag takes the fun out of small twisty roads?

Hi guys Just wondering if any big spec owners out there are considering a px for a very clean 1993 tt auto gz in Renaissance red ? I need more speed but this cars to original and clean to start modding in my eyes. Little spec. 1993 Tt auto GZ Renaissance red All is stock apart from bpu and a boost controller Still in kmh, sitting on 83k kmh so just over 50k miles Cruise control Active aero splitter Leather seats Key hole lights Oem footwell lights Whifbitz sidemount Whifbitz decats Blitz boost controller Tanabe touring exhaust Big oem brakes all round that's just a brief list, has a nice folder of work since its import in 2010 and also has a history report from its life in japan I purchased the car 4 years ago on 38k miles Serviced meticulously by me and SRD, has had complete fluid change around 3000 miles ago. The car is clean, and I mean super clean, almost museum clean, this has been my baby for 4 years now and what it needed it has got and ive always cared for it. It's been in 3 magazines, banzai, jap performance and ohsoretro, it's been on toyota uk main website as car of the month, waxstock as a showcar, a film review against the new mk5 poopra for auto Express and on tv on goblin works garage.. so you now have an idea of how clean it is. The car is in excellent original condition and shape, this is why I cant bring myself to start chopping it up. And I wont sell it until I have another supra lined up so all I'm really looking at is Px for a big spec/tt6 So if you know anyone or have something you might be interested in pxing then please dont hesitate to drop me a message This is a real investment supra but I want more speed now ideally Thanks, Grant For the sake of being on the sale page and needing a price I'm going to value it at £22k Plate will be removed if px/sale and put back to original L14##WU plate

I never like modded supras normally, but this looks spot on
-
Ah fair play, good on you for winning the comp and for making a lads day
-
Haha well il shut my mouth then lol Did you get the 27 for it? Cant believe the prices, I nearly bought a mint one 3 years ago for £11k
-
27k is way up there 20k is your way for a quick sale, asking 27k for an r32 gtr is like asking 25k for tt auto supra, it wont sell at that imo

No problem mate, he had the manual. Yes tbh mate it's one of my favourites too, that and a r8 v8 manual but they are only on par with a bpu supra so not much of a power upgrade, but they do drive, look and sound amazing imo. Yes the manuals are more expensive but in a world of automatics I believe they will hold their money as the more desirable car. Dont get me wrong though, the auto 996 turbo is probably just as good. People will always say "oh it's got to be manual if it's going to be involving and fun" but I think you only need a manual in a lower powered sub 300bhp car, any more bhp and I find auto/paddle shift just as fun as a manual box, everyones different though Hope you get better soon and yes mate if you want something in life just do it, were here for a good time, not a long time.

One of my mates had a manual 996 turbo before his big hks twin supra, he now has a lambo lp 550 but still says his 996 was a Brilliant car and would destroy most cars in sight with only a small tune.. I personally love them and like all cars you will get the shit ones out there but most are very reliable. I also think it was the only time Porsche really deviated from their iconic headlight design so in time I'm expecting them to become the "rare" unicorns that dont get so much intrest now but in the future become the Porsche that dared to be different, I'd say they have hit their base price now and can only go up from here (without corona factors thrown in)

Was drivers side unfortunately

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone had any updates? Just rang my local dealer, they didnt seem to have any idea that the parts programme was actually a thing (was looking for a pair of uk glass headlights) He did say he could get me one side though for £221 inc vat which was much much cheaper then when I rang a year or more ago. So just wondering really if anyone knows when the parts programme will really get into action? Thanks, Grant
