  6. so today we tried another ECU, i still have the same knock sensor code EML. When purchasing the knock sensors from TCB PARTS he said he didn't have any supra specific ones but that the celica ones are an exact match. (The tuner recommended i ring tcb however they are closed now) So I'm wondering if anyone can confirm that 2jz knock sensors and celica knock sensors are the same, visually they are but I don't know if they run different due to signals. My tuners reckons I still have the CODE 52 EML problem because they are for a celica, but tcb parts seem very knowledgeable and he said they would work 100% If anyone could shed some light that would be much appreciated. The general running of the engine has also been checked and it runs spot on. Thanks
  7. That is the next option but I just think that it went in there with a code 52 (Knock sensor) and has come out with the same code after having them done. When it was read initially he saod one sensor was dead so both were replaced. I was under the impression that if coolant got into the ecu it would cause alot more havoc then just a knock sensor code. Either way I suppose trying that next would rule out a faulty ecu
  8. hi guys My supra has been in the garage for some work, a new heater matrix as mine was leaking into the passenger footwell and 2 new knock sensors. I picked the car up today once I got 10 miles down the road the EML came back on again, I stopped, rung the garage and took it back, he read the code and it said *52, knock sensors. (When I 1st took it to the garage he informed me one was dead and reading no signal so both were replaced) He cleared it and looked puzzled and told me to try it again. I was late getting back home so told him if it came on again id return with the car at a later date. And sure enough about 3 miles down the road i got my EML come back on. This has cost me a pretty penny so far for no change, the car still throwing an EML light for the same problem as when I gave it to them. Anyone else ever had this problem, any help would be much appreciated? (All the guy could think of was that the leaking heater matrix had leaked on the ecu which could be causing the knock sensor code to come up) Thanks

  10. Absolute legend, me and the tuners had tried everywhere, not even toyota could get them for 2 weeks, the other alternative was usa on a 2 week wait also Tcb are very helpful indeed and will be with me tomorrow Thanks again

  13. hi guys Looking for a pair of knock sensors for a 2jz-gte Ones failed and isn't reading anything and has thrown a eml so I need to replace both. Don't suppose anyone knows where to get some? Whifbitz and toyota don't have any? Thanks

  16. when I looked into the tremec 6 speed conversion it was just over 10k for a drive in/drive out from tt auto to tt6 speed tremec. roughly the same price for bmw f80 dct conversion drive in/drive out. Not a bad price considering the rarity of getrag boxes atm though
  17. Its a pita, don't leave it on to long otherwise it ruins the plastic

Tbh this was one of the main things that put me off going 600hp+ single, I never wanted to get rid of my active front lip set up and was told by numerous tuners that I would most certainly have to go fmic if I wanted anything more then 500hp. Very good work Chris. Can I ask what you are running with the cw smic?

  20. Any improvement over the whifbitz one I have fitted atm? Or is it so minor that I'd needn't bother? Thanks
