  1. What pressure are you planning to run Wes? I was thinking about 4bar static but I wanted to check with Jens if there was a preferred range for the injectors to work over before I decide.
  2. Anybody else got any old arms or due to replace some knackered ones any time soon?
  3. Did you take a look at the link I sent you Kev? The Anotuff are black versions of Earl's "Swivel Seal" fittings. These ones only go down to dash 6 owing to the space taken up by the sealing arrangement inside. The cheaper fittings are the Autofit fittings which look the same but the heads can't be rotated relative to the hose once assembled. These do go down to dash 4 but they are not manufactured in a black style.

    Rota GTR

How much did you trim off, can you remember? 6, 8, 10mm? Does that now give you a full range of motion at the rear allowing the tyre to rise up into the arch?

    Rota GTR

My fronts are 35 (8.5" wide with a 245 40 18) and the rears are 30 (9.5" wide with a 275 35 18). No arch rolling here but my suspension is pretty hard. When I change to CW's suspension setup I will likely need to roll/trim the rear arches.
  6. John, I have a cardboard tank mocked up. Are you still ok to fab it up in aluminium for me? If so, could you let me have your email address so I can send you some photos of it. I am waiting for some small 1/8" NPT fittings to arrive and then I can finalize the position of the last weld on threaded piece. I figured that some pics would make for good prior warning before I snet you the mock up in the post! Cheers Dan
  7. I already offered that and Ro turned me down
  8. Edit: I got some I have 10ft of the 7.9mm bore SAE30-R10 fully immersible stuff coming to me from Belgium - should be in my hand in about two weeks. I had a mild panic when deciding how much to order so I overestimated by about 9.5 feet as I figured some of you guys would want some as well and it seems like such a b@stard to track down. Once I get it I'm happy to sell some lengths to people at my cost plus the delivery. It should be something like about £14 per foot I think.
  9. If they say GP Automotive or Universal Automotive in Kidderminster be sure to ask for someone else as these guys do not stock it anymore despite what Gates say.
  10. Nobody around me seems to know what it is and I get a lot of air sucking through teeth when I mention anything beyond SAE30 - R6. I do have the Gates part and product numbers for the R10 stuff at home .... Does anybody know anyone who works somewhere that supplies Gates hose...specifically automotive?
  11. Is anyone using this approved submerged fuel hose or are "we" all using normal injection hose?
  12. What size exhaust housing Christian?
  13. Serves him right for doing tiling instead of car related jobs!
  14. A&E mate, hope you've already gone - should be relatively easy but you'll probably come away with a yellow cheek and a bollocking about protecting your eyes! I had a nasty piece of metal swarf in my eye about a week ago that I managed to pick/scrape off the iris area but a week before this my dad had the same and he couldn't get it off. He tried to go to sleep with the intention of going to the doctor the next day but by the early hours the mild annoyance had turned to a burning pain so he had to go to A&E. It wasn't a big deal and I guess the place may have been a little quieter by the time he got there
  15. Was that a spare one Jamie or have you got ridof your one now?
  16. How many people are we short Homer?
  17. Oh dear mate - that looks like sh!t. The turbine wheel does look badly distorted at the base as well as a tiny bit "chipped" and "eaten away". This is how mine looked for comparison.... If you want me to take a look at the housing I may be able to diagnose whether the housingitself is definitely failing or if it is tiny particle damage from elsewhere attacking the housing. I have access to some excellent imaging and magnification kit which may yield a lot more than a visual or "mangnifying glass" inspection.
  18. I'll try As long as i get the car finished and ryan has mapped it in time. That said, the later it is, the better for me (prob can't do november now that i think about it) but i'll have a much better idea by about the 5th november. I may end up being able to go before everything is 100% complete (no custom breather setup, exhaust cut out or water injection) I'll do my best!
  19. Ernie, If this had come up about three months ago I'd have probably taken it off you rather then doing all the work on mine! Glad to hear things worked out favourably with the GTR - best of luck with everything, hope it all works out.

    Cheap 4.7 TT

It looks far from being ready to start as none of those hardpipes for cooling or intake are welded. (Unless there are more recent pics on SF)
  21. Chris - my adjustable Bilstein lower sleeves are in a suitcase on their way to me now so I'll be in touch shortly about the springs and revalved dampers we discussed a couple of weeks back.
  22. The main reason was I wanted some more volume in the plenum Kev and the only way to get in to do it properly was to chop the top off (for better access and room to work). I also did some mild porting work around the throttle area, removed a whole heap of casting flash and also balanced up the flow a little better after some flowbench work. That was all done about 3 years ago ready for a single turbo car I was going to buy. That purchase fell through and this has been in the garage ever since waiting to permanently weld the top back on (as it was only temporarily fixed and sealed for the flow testing) and be cleaned up to fit to a suitable motor. Now seemed like a sensible opportunity as my car will be a similar setup to what I was going to buy, it's already off the road and the lower runners had to be swapped anyway.
