  1. 0.9 bar wastegate spring fitted now - thanks for that Hodge I also made a good bit of progress on the Aquamist 2S water injection installation. I need to wire a master switch into the dash next but am going to wait until I have the Solaris rotary switch from Ryan so I don't have to pull the dash out twice....hopefully I can finish it all towards the end of the week.
  2. Anyone have a MAP sensor going spare? I have a plan for using my old one for a particular job once I change to the Solaris sensor but I don't have that new one yet and am keen to press on with this other idea while I wait. So does anyone have one from when they changed to an aftermarket sensor? (Plus the connector on a tiny bit of loom)? Cheers Dan
  3. Still looking - will give Steve Manley a call tomorrow if no-one can help....?
  4. Keron - did you get my pm with email address? Bits I need: Main engine undertray, centre console piece with lid, set of three facelift dash switch blanking plates. p.s. I could really do with some blankng plates ASAP if you have them.
  5. Not yet Paul, I'm waiting for the tank but the real hold up will be the bendable aluminium pipe to go to the exhaust connections - seems to be a bit of a shortage for it in the UK at the moment I'm very keen to connect it up and see how it works too.
  6. Oh yeah - I think I remember the pics with the gaffa tape on the bell housing, was that you? Did that front wastegate recirc pipe cause any problems with heat melting paint or anything? I ask because I haven't seen anyone recirc it before.
  7. Thanks Adam - we'll have to meet up once it's fully finished. Not sure how the numbers are going to pan out yet but it will be interesting You know what Mark...I'm thinking along those kind of lines already
  8. Did you ever run this car in anger with that wastegate setup?
  9. I'm currently working on my water injection install (in the boot of the Supe) and need a windscreen washer pump to act as a primer for the main WI pump. This keep consistent flow to the Aquamist pump and actually boosts the flowrate a little as well. Does anyone know of any windscreen washer pumps that are connected by hose on the inlet and outlet side (rather than sat in a rubber grommet in the washer bottle)? The reason I ask...if I can get a "hose fed" windscreen washer pump then I have 100% flexibility on the tank as opposed to making some sort of washer bottle with integrated pump fit into the boot location I have in mind. The plan is to site the tank, pump and solenoid assembly in the boot tucked down below carpet level on the left hand side where the grey polystyrene piece sits. Cheers Dan Mod: I wasn't sure if this was best suited to Non Supra Tech or in here. Sorry if it's in the wrong place.
  10. What do you have Kev? I have the Jap spec one fitted to the UK plenum (after some modifying) but the throttle cable is a little slack and it looks like the UK bracket is the only way to get it perfect.
  11. Facelift dash switch blanks wanted please....can anyone help? 1 x 55537-14040 2 x 55538-14030 Thanks Dan
  12. Do you still have these and are they for sale? If so, could you confirm the part numbers....should be either: 55537-14040 or 55538-14030 (2 of these fitted on some models)
  13. Are you interested in selling any of the dash panels?
  14. To be honest Paul i don't have a massive wealth of driving experience in single turbo supras to compare to. That said, it seems to pull better in the low revs than my bpu setup. It is in no way laggy or unresponsive at all, it has a nice load of pull from about 2000rpm and the part throttle is very responsive and strong. The boost threshold is very low and it seems to get into decent positive boost instantaneously. I'll keep a close eye on things next time i go out and give you some feedback but it'll only be based on the rev counter and boost gauge for now. Also, with full throttle i only have up to about 3000rpm to play with as it gets to Ryan's fuel/spark but at 0.8bar in no time at all. Basically the majority of my driving has been part throttle normal driving and in that scenario i haven't found it lacking at all. . . Feels like a 5litre
  15. Good man - thanks. Thank you very much
  16. Why did they want you to do that mate? Bad reflection on them or some insurance related thing?
  17. Yes pm me a link please Kev, that would be great. I was planning to have a custom tank and pump mounting area fabricated to sit on the left hand side of the boot where the polystyrene tool tray is - that way it shouldn't intrude into the boot space too much. The only reason I wanted stainless was because of the Methanol's effect on aluminium. Plastic would be even better but I think I'm unlikely to find the right shape. Perfect - thanks mate That would be excellent mate - it would save me deciphering what I have now. According to Kev's attachment my dual spring setup could well be 1bar but if I was supplied the wrong springs initially then it could be miles off.
  18. Sh!t mate, I did already know that but I guess it didn't actually sink in. Sorry about that! How about keeping this for your next one?
  19. Stock cams right now mate. I don't think we went much over 5000rpm so weren't really flying but it does pull nice and strong. I need to swap the wastegate spring and get the other MAP sensor in before we can stretch its legs properly...then I can get a real idea of how it compares to the old setup. Today was just to get me on the road and reliably mobile at low boost for a little while to check out the whole install before the real mapping. It sure sounds faster - jesus what a noise from the intake and turbo!
  20. Well, it's on the road Ryan came over today and we ended up getting it on the road and running up to about 1 bar. We couldn't go any higher as it's still running on the stock MAP sensor, that'll be sorted next time we meet up to finish the mapping. I know someone's going to ask (and Ryan may have to answer to be 100% accurate) but I'm sure he said it was making 1bar in 4th at 3200rpm. Can you remember Ryan? Jobs to do now: Fabricate stainless tank for water injection Plumb in water injection and wire into the Solaris Fit the fuel and oil pressure sensors Fit the 3bar MAP sensor Fit my catch can and breather lines (when I get them) Swap the wastegate spring as it's boosting way too high on the wastegate spring right now (does anyone have a 1bar spring in their Tial 44mm - if so, is it one spring or two?) Fit the airbox Fit the exhaust cutout and dump tube (for free breathing compared to the 3" Tanabe style) Make up some sound deadening/shield to reduce the noise from the BOV!
  21. I could do that Kev sure, but if you're in a mega rush it's unlikely as I'm a bit pushed for time right now. It's not amazingly difficult (assuming you were gonna try it yourself) but it'd just take a looong time to get the shape perfect.
  22. I've got a pair you can have for £30 posted
