  1. I had a K&N induction kit on mine at one point but I'd bought it from another member as a temporary thing. Is that not a "normal" K&N product?
  2. I used a stock clutch at BPU for about 3years - no problems or excessive wear but I cannot tell you the exact life. I also used one of Chris Wilson's clutches at BPU for about 3 years - no problem - CW may be able to give you some idea of life expectancy.
  3. Good to hear - thanks Paul.
  4. Slight hijack... Has anyone ever had problems with a K&N panel filter on a vvti or UK car? In total, I ran two K&N panel filters on my J spec non vvti car in the stock airbox for six years without any issues at all but I'm wondering if the MAF equipped Supras suffer any issues like some of the older Imprezas do with oil impregnated filters. Does anyone know or have experience of this? If it isn't a problem I'll pass my (now redundant) filter onto my brother for his VVTi. Cheers Dan
  5. Does anyone know if the rears will clear UK rear brakes?
  6. Is that on a standard set of rims (8" and 9.5" widths) or does it say anything about the rear 235 tyres having to be on an additional pair of "UK front" wheels?
  7. That was well spotted chris as i changed it immediately. It wasn't aimed at you at all. Toyota prices from my local dealer would vary wildly with some stuff being very cheap and other seemingly simple parts costing a huge amount. . . No doubt a supply and demand thing. Now my local dealership has closed down and taken the parts supplies with it so i buy from wherever i can and if that happens to be abroad when the timing is right then so be it. It wasn't meant to be a dig at our traders on the board so i will apologise if you took it that way. I.ve never bought toyota parts from our forum traders, only from toyota. It sounded a bit harsh when i read it back after posting and that's why i changed it immediately. Sorry if it upset you. I get the same issues in my industry competing with products from the US and Canada so i know what it's like to be strangled by the way things simply have to be here.
  8. I'll take the first gauge surround (the one that is not broken and does not have the rings), the gauge visor and the two centre pieces please. I will be travelling to Canada for the next 18hours so please understand I may not reply instantly unless I can get web access on my phone. Cheers Dan
  9. From the very knowledgeable Toyota supplier I buy all my parts from in the US when the UK prices are too high: "The bolts are the same part numbers from 93.5-2002. The clearance is normal to prevent the bolt from rusting to the inner bushing sleeve."
  10. Sounds like a good idea Chris - thanks. Are the front and rear seats different?
  11. Sorry - editted as I hadn't read your post properly!
  12. Would the blue LED conversion be fine for a facelift 6 speed?
  13. Do you know if it'll fit a facelift dash John? If so I'd like it please
  14. If you are likely to sell the Jun 256's I would be interested in buying them.
  15. The tank is well baffled Mig - it would have to be filled almost to the top to get liquid across and up to the level of the check valve ports. Thank you Steve, that might be very useful indeed. I don't suppose you have the connector off the loom as well do you? Mine got chopped off when we fitted the 3 bar MAP sensor and Ryan (hopefully!) still has it with the old sensor.
  16. Everything is fitted now but the vacuum gauge I borrowed is goosed so no numbers yet. I can say one thing though - the whole system makes some strange noises. At idle it is silent; as the revs rise slightly it makes a strange quiet vibrating/deep whistle/pigeon-call kind of sound and the tank seems to amplify the noise. Depending on the revs and manifold vacuum/boost the noise is louder or quieter. It was actually a little bit un-nerving at first as I had no idea what the hell it was and it starts making the noise just above idle speed. I really need to get the map sensor connected so I can evaluate what is going on in realtime and get some logs of system vac vs. rpm and engine load. I am wondering if the noise is from my lightly spring loaded vacuum limiting valve fluttering open to hold the vacuum in the tank around 1.5psi. Maybe. So in summary - it's definitely pulling a vacuum (easy to feel through a sealable port on catch can) and definitely making some weird noises. However, I can't say anything more technical than that yet!
  17. I may have missed this somewhere along the line...where can you buy a decent cast manifold kit with turbo, downpipe, wastegate pipes and intercooler pipes ready made for
