  1. Can anyone tell me the thread size for the oil feed into a Borg Warner turbo such as the 88/75 or 91/79 please? Is there any sort of restrictor needed if using a 4AN feed line? Also, what does the drain side look like in terms of drain hole size, flange shape and bolt spacing? Cheers Dan
  2. Thank you for the kind words Nic, I ought to update the garage a little really - thanks for the reminder In terms of manifold mods, i probably removed about 300cc of material.
  3. Thanks Max I normally run is 1.6bar and on the defi I don't think I ever see over 820 degrees, which is less than the stock turbos at 1.2bar previously. I remember we did get a one off peak of more like 900 when mapping up at 1.8bar but that was from the smaller thermo couple that is hooked to the syvecs ecu. My exhaust is much less restrictive now though plus I now have a greddy 3row rather than the old two row so I need to get back to the rolling road to see what it's pushing.
  4. MikeB are you out there I'd happily do a B2B if someone wants to lend me tubular T4 manifold that'll accept a 44mm Tial wastegate, 4" recirc DP and intake and some 3" IC piping.
  5. If you only want one pair of those 17x9.5's I would consider buying the other pair off you and personally would have no reservations about dropping to a 17" at the rear. Let's go for it
  6. Mine has them and I think they are fibreglass
  7. I'm not keen on the mirrors - for me the black draws too much attention to them. But overall I like the whole look a lot....the lights are great! Muchos respect for all the hard work. The front lights are the worst part of a Supra in my opinion so it's nice to see something much more modern.
  8. If you're sticking a 275 35 tyre on there and don't want to roll the arches you'll be pretty close so I'd do nothing until you have some miles on the new setup...you could get a 5mm spacer in there but that means fitting longer studs. If you go 265 35 then in reality you could just about get away with a 15mm spacer as the tyre shape frees up more space than the (relatively fat sitting) 275 35 on a 9.5" rim. If you are happy to roll the arches then you can go a little more crazy
  9. Aren't the (flush fitting) nuts still on there holding it on? Looks to me like you need a special socket/tool to undo them...
  10. With the right caliper it can be done but it'll be 'wheel balance weight' tight What caliper you going for chris?
  11. I have a used Trial Tuning Spirit exhaust in the garage that is supposed to sit nicely with this rear diffuser thing - it exits dead straight and has something like a 5" exit Pipework is not stainless but back box is, if anyone is interested then please pm me and I'll check the condition and get a few pics.
  12. Nice job, looks like it spools very nicely
  13. Any excuse to post a pic and show my photo editing skillz Insulator shown by yellow arrow (Not for your benefit Jim and Wes, but it's not immediately obvious to everyone that this is the insulator.) To be fair, all the cars I have seen with new stock based suspension fitted do take some time to settle down, my CW stuff settled more and more over a couple of hundred miles. Jurgen's car for Suprafan was high initially as well wasn't it? How about this Jim.... Measure the ride height as it is, fit the new bits, drive a few miles, re-measure the height and then let us know if it changed
  14. I think the thick band at the top is for NVH insulation reasons to cut down on vib/noise transferred to the shell.
  15. Yes I see what you mean but if it does nothing it might as well not be there. If it cuts out noise then it can't be infinitely stiff - it must be deforming in use....even just a little bit?
  16. How do you mean Wes? Do you mean it would be soft enough to always squash to almost nothing?
  17. As it sits between the spring and top mount could it raise things a bit when new if it was stiff enough? My old ones were "squeezed out" a fair bit but the new ones I fitted (for now) have held their shape a bit better and look slightly thicker once installed...
  18. Good luck with finishing at all off, I hope you have more luck from now on.
  19. These beauties just arrived and to my suprise the rears are 9.5" - not 8.5" Perhaps I won't be putting my winter tyres on them afterall
  20. I'm happy for it to be moved/binned/adjusted - whatever will allow people to get some use from it. I would still like to add in the info for the Whifbitz AP stuff when Paul has a chance to dig that out. It looks like the Jap spec also needs adding in plus there'll be Stoptech info from Luxluc and the K-Sport 356/356 kit info should be headed my way shortly from another member. Do you want to move it first and if so, will I still be able to edit/replace the images it once it's moved? Will keep you posted; I might do a little chat thread once I start the install/fabrication. Pads should arrive tomorrow I don't have any info for the Jap spec stuff but I am more than happy to add it in once I have it...you're not the first person to ask. I'm glad you found it useful and it potentially saved you some £££ and grief.
