    Advice

I did all new OEM in the summer - pricey but seemed like the best option after weighing it all up with ball joints/removing old bushes/pressing in new etc etc. To be honest, it didn't feel any different afterwards though. Pricey preventative maintenance. Doh!!!!
  4. Had it a couple of times, never any problems. Warm feeling is interesting though - made me feel like I pee'd myself!
  5. I could be on my own! One man group buy
  6. V70a? - http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m12b0s692p1896
  7. Gotcha, sorry I was being a bit dim - basically those wheels need the angled valve to look right. That one pic looks like they just have a normal valve on there though, not coming through the main part of the wheel - that's what was throwing me. Is that a photo of someone else's car?
  8. What is it that is a concern Steve - the amount the valve sticks out into the inside of the wheel?
  9. How rich does the Innovate go? The logging would be handy if you didn't have a standalone - I used to used Techedge wideband stuff and always had heaps of stuff being switched in and out of the 0-5v inputs when working on Webers and SU carbs. The logging was a godsend
  10. Nice job Paul, thanks - I'll have one. Do you want to wait a week or so to see if other people want in to try to hit the 10 orders?

    Caliper Threads

Anyone know what the rear thread is?
  12. How well did they "work", can you quantify it at all? Were you driving on cambered sheet ice roads or just on snow covering etc? What sort of tread depth are you running them at? Were you sliding at all on the front or rear end when driving carefully? Were you on intermittent tarmac where you could actually get some warmth into the tyre between icy stretches or was it constant ice driving? I have a set of 225/50/17 and 245/45/17 M+S winter tyres for mine and they work well but you still need to be careful....a stranger couldn't really step into the car and drive it on a truly icy road without having their wits about them and a good appreciation of RWD behaviour.
  13. I haven't forgotten you mate but haven't found them yet either - not for want of looking though!
  14. Another vote for the RPS street clutch. I've done about 10,000 on mine I think now and I am happy with it. I swapped the slave cylinder a while back to bring the biting point up a bit but in all honestly it wasn't bad before - I just prefer it a touch higher.
  15. Here's a company on Ebay selling them....Essex Performance... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tyresure-Pressure-Monitoring-System-TPMS-/260716779420?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item3cb3ee579c £157.49 including postage.
  16. Subscribed again - how much Paul? I've been nosing aroung for one to go in the new wheels I'm looking for.
  17. I've got several. Are we talking reviews of OEM cars or modified ones?
  18. Does he have the carbs, rad, heater etc?
  19. That's a little misleading there though Ian. The pressure drop across the injector stays the same because the outlet is atmanifold boost pressure and the inlet is always at the rail's "static + boost referenced" pressure so irrespective of what boost you see, the pressure drop across the injector is the same.
  20. Not yet mate sorry, i've looked but not found them. I've found my ones i'm planning to fit to my car but not the 2nd pair. . . Yet. I'll check my other garage on friday as i'm certain they are in there now.
