  1. I have a long reach aluminium set Jamie. Pm me a decent offer if you are interested. Thanks Dan
  2. Interesting. I'm (kind of) thinking about buying a Landcruiser Amazon....with the 4.7L V8. Lovely smooth comfortable motor but LPG is a must for any sort of sensible economy. Can you tell me what sort of mpg you get with petrol and also with LPG under similar driving conditions?
  3. That doesn't mean they wouldn't be better off with something different. What if you were on the limit in terms of fuel, ignition timing, det, EGT's etc meaning no more boost or timing was available......then you can go back to less lazy tuning and look for all the losses in the system. Porting certain areas in the whole system and optimizing (for instance) plenum volume to suit your goals can then start to pay off. Same argument goes for a well gas flowed head.....more power-same boost, just by minimizing losses.
  4. Move to Members Chat? What are you going to do to that horrible little shit?
  5. Fronts should be fine with a 255/35/18 and a roll but the rears look a little close to me....assuming you're going for normal tyre size like a 275/35/18 and not a mega stretch look.
  6. My hybrids were great, I had them on the car from about 65,000 - 100,000miles and they only came off as I wanted to make up a single turbo kit. I ran them from 1.0bar to 1.3bar and certainly wouldn't say they were laggy, they weren't quite as perky as the stock ceramics under 2000rpm but not much in it. On the upside they could take more boost and made plenty of power. They are from TurboTechnics. Other people have suffered lots of problems with hybrids so you're bound to get mixed feedback. If you have lots of spare cash...go single!
  7. I'll sell you my Magnaflow 3" one for £100 posted, job done. Nice job for a welder/fabricator and it should keep the locals happy
  8. 17 at the back with 315 35 17 tyre. Sorry about the pic size
  9. Add an extra silencer in - easy. I bought this for my Nur Spec for the same reason but in the end I did a complete new exhaust.... http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?249204-3-quot-Magnaflow-Stainless-Steel-Exhaust-Silencer&highlight=magnaflow
  10. Hi TJ, Welcome to the forum. You may or may not be interested but I'm 90% convinced I will be selling my car now and just need to find 20mins to knock up an ad for the forum. It's a 1996 facelift, six speed, single turbo at 600bhp and 590lb.ft of torque, lots of custom parts - built for ultimate reliability and drive-ability with everything I wanted to make it an immense road car without turning it into a track car. Original TRD bonnet and spoiler, Recaro seats, Custom brakes, turbo kit, exhaust, coilovers, big TRD diff, all new suspension arms, Syvecs ECU...and the list goes on. I've owned it for 10yrs + and am only selling as I no longer have time to work on it due to family and job commitments. Lots of people here would vouch for the build quality and attention to detail. I'd be looking for about half your budget for it. Have a look at some of the links in my sig to see if you might be interested. Cheers Dan
  11. From memory the props are about 15 or maybe 20mm different in length. I have some photos on my laptop from when I did the swap so I'll take a look...
  12. Compressed length was approx 5mm different on the near side shaft I used from a pre-facelift import (with a large diff) compared to my facelift small diff shaft. I can't say it any simpler. Did you remove the shafts from the large diff cars yourself or buy them as plain shafts from someone. Maybe you got sold something different? Simon, you might be fine with the small diff shaft. I've never done it so can't say first hand if the length difference affects anything.
  13. No. One of the shafts is a different length - 5mm if I remember correctly. Some people have bodged it without changing through but I'm not sure if that increases the chance of damaging the diff itself of the shaft seal on the one side at full bump or rebound.
  14. The brake servo is connected to the plenum. I've never delved into the Supra setup but a spit in the hose on the servos side of a faulty NRV may cause some issues.
  15. You need a ride in a car like mine with a well matched setup on a modified cast manifold and a good turbo (not a teeny one either!) I'm pretty certain that even staying under 4000rpm it'll still beat any BPU car doing the same from any speed to any speed. I'm making 600bhp+ but still managing 400lbf.ft of torque at 4000rpm on the rollers at SRR and hitting a max of 590lbf.ft by 4700rpm with boost very low in the rev range and awesome acceleration from 3000rpm. You need a pretty powerful single turbo (on a normal tubular manifold) to match those torque numbers
  16. I'll try that, thanks. Sod that. I'll have to store the glass then as well!
  17. Bit of a strange one... I've got a pair of spare doors and I've just had to move them from one storage place to another (smaller unfortunately) and they would take up far less room if the glass was down. Does anyone know how to power the electric windows down? Thanks Dan
  18. One of the shafts is definitely 5mm shorter for the big diff.
  19. Mine are on 11.5" rears chaps. The change in straight line traction from 275-35-18 to 315-35-17 was staggering. I put it all down to the increased sidewall...with hot tyres it won't spin up on a hot, dry, smooth road in 3rd gear any more
