  1. Is the camcoat internal coating cheaper than Zircotec's external coating on a like for like piece? I'm interested in both
  2. Hey dude - do these reflashes cause any issues with the diesel particulate filters? My little '07 plate 1.6TDCi Focus may benefit from something like this but I'd be a bit worried about clogging up the DPF quicker as that's a pricey item to change!
  3. I reckon my stuff was about £600 but I will check. The cast manifold is cheaper as the surface area is way less than a tubular.
  4. My stuff is all coated by Zircotec in the Performance Black which is the standard white ceramic coating with a black over the top. I cannot give any hard quantitative facts about the actual heat reduction but I can say that the underbonnet area is cooler with it all coated. (I did run the car before coating everything to check fits etc before dropping the big £££ on the coating). One thing I will add (which I just found out today) is that the Zircotec stuff has a three year warranty for road use. That is pretty good in my book and I will be taking advantage of it as I have a small amount of flaking of the top black coat on my turbine housing. If I had to do it all over again.....I would do the coating again for definite.
  5. Thanks for all the advice guys - so far I have one skirt off without any real problems. I may tackle the next one tonight. Thanks Eddie - I just fancy a change to be honest; I've had the car for roughly seven years and the only thing I have ever changed is various sets of wheels. I'll see how it looks without the extra bodywork bits and then make a decision. I've seen a couple of gunmetal ones with no skirts and didn't think they looked all that good. On the other had my old man's RSP looks excellent with no skirts as does my brother's Quicksilver car. Paint colour, wheel choice and ride height seem to have a large role to play
  6. Anyone got any of these please (circled in yellow)? I need one for each side. Thanks Dan
  7. I never look at my boost gauge any more. At bpu I'd watch it like a hawk but i don't worry about it now with the single and syvecs install. It might be handy for quick trouble shooting though if the need arose and ecu logs weren't convenient or quick enough.
  8. You could have two drastically different lists there depending on who worked on the cars and why.
  9. My insurance company wouldn't care as long as I told them about it and obviously wasn't going with something really odd like a 215 front and rear. What do you think would not impress your insurance company if you said you wanted to run (for example) a 9.5" wheel front and rear with a 265 width tyre? On a similar note - I believe the Supra manual states that for winter use the same size tyres (235 width) should be used front and rear. Loads of guys in the US run same width front and rear, have a look on the road racing forum if you are interested. 275's and 285's seem pretty common
  10. Thanks for the replies guys -sounds like a job to really take my time with. I need to get the alternate trim pieces collected from another member and then I'll think about taking these off for a look. They are gunmetal and facelift versions which means the spats have a small half cutout for the rear sidelight.
  11. Excellent thank you! PM me your postcode and I'll have a look how far away you are...
  12. Can anyone give me any pointers about removing the OEM skirts and spats as far as avoiding damage to paintwork underneath, any adhesive, is it likely I'll need a bodyshop to respray parts underneath etc? Hopefully they'll just unscrew/clip/pull off and then with a bit of polish they'll look spot on with the simpler sleek non-skirted setup. Cheers Dan
  13. Bump. I may have to try my black ones and go for a dodgy "Audi R8" kind of look with black pods on a gunmetal car Anyone got a stock spoiler in black?
  14. Anyone got any? Example pic attached in silver - I need some gunmetal ones. I reckon I have a pair of silver ones and a pair of black ones in the garage if that makes anybody's life easy for some sort of trade. Thanks Dan
  15. I have two in the manifold - one at cylinder 6 and one at cylinder 1. Make sure you get an Inconel probe (mine are both 3mm) and don't scratch it, it dent it or scrape it and then you can fit and forget in the manifold. I've had one in there for 6 years and the other for about 18months.
  16. Nice one mate - glad you got it sorted.

  18. 225/50/17 and 245/45/17 winter tyres on mine worked very well on solid snow and ice and even better on softer snow. I was without my run around for a couple of weeks during our last cold spell so i had to use the supe and I'm very happy i had the winter tyres as they transformed the car compared to my Eagle F1's and Rossos. I do remember a post by Thorin a little while back where he said that his Falken 452s were excellent on snow and ice so maybe they'd be a better compromise than true winter tyres. It might be worth a pm to him to ask how bad the conditions were when he was using them - i certainly couldn't make any progress with my normal tyres! Personally I'd go with a true winter tyre where the compound is specifically engineered for grip at very low temperatures.
  19. I have the Precision T67DBB that I removed from my car and it is now a "spare". I have a 0.68 and a 0.81 housing for it. Let me know if you think it might be any use to you....
  20. Precision 46mm V band any good to you mate?
  21. I'll have it Matt. I just need to figure out when I can drive to you to pick it up. In fact - I'll take the driver's one too please. £50 for the pair. Could you pm me your postcode please?

    One-Eyed cars

I find that the "one eyed" ones are rarely HID equipped....they seem to just be normal yellower lights.

    One-Eyed cars

This annoys the hell out of me and I see it repeatedly everyday on the way to and from work. The most annoying is usually one headlight plus the fog lights on - presumably compensating for the crap lighting. Are the police able to give any kind of rectification notice? Could potentially make up for some lost speed camera revenue
