  1. Widened stockers would look spot on but I'm in a similar boat to you - they won't clear my front brakes. My car is off the road at the moment but I will give it a blast once I get the new wheels and tyres on....should be very easy to spot any differences.
  2. Date dependant I am very keen....
  3. I'm just about to fit my 315/35/17s as I want more sidewall. Currently I have 285/35/18 giving me ~100mm sidewall. If I went 315/30/18 then my sidewall would drop to 94.5mm whereas the 17s will net me 110mm If you were feeling flush and wanted to experiment you try try a 275/40/17 R888 on a stock rim which gives the same sidewall as a 315/35/17. I'd be willing to bet you'd have more straight line traction with that than your current 295 R888.
  4. Would you be able to stick the battery tray in for me as well please if it hasn't already gone?
  5. Keron, do you have a Jap spec positive battery terminal and the little plastic cover that goes with it? Also, is the main battery clamp/strap for a UK battery any bigger than a Jap one or do they use the same size batteries, just with different post sizes?
  6. I'd really like the following please: Front upper cam gear cover Positive battery terminal and cover Clutch foot rest Please let me know if you could post them and how much you're after for the respray fund
  7. ~I suppose it's a bit of a pointless question actually. If they ended up needing to be changed, then they need to be changed I'll take 'em. PM me how you want paying - bank transfer suits me so send me over the details if that's alright with you.
  8. Can they be fitted without removing the engine Jamie?
  9. Nope - a Jap one would be spot on.
  10. Name and shame - good idea. I don't suppose you have a positive battery terminal do you?
  11. Do you still have the steering rack?
  12. Can I buy mine at the one off price now?
  13. How does that AMG compare to the likes of an SL55AMG? My BPU could pull away from them quite nicely on a 40-100 pull (and the gap widened as speeds went higher) so maybe that'll give you some idea.
  14. OK gotcha, I reckon those rears might just about clear, mainly as a result of the stretch. They're basically 6mm further out than mine at the edge of the tread but mine sit quite square on the shoulder as they're on a 9.5" rim. You also might help the situation with a narrower tyre such as a FK452. However, they should fit easy with a roll Your What tyre are you thinking for the front? I reckon the widest you could go would be a 245 and then it would probably need to be a 35 profile. How hard is your suspension? All my stuff relates to relatively soft Bilstein based suspension - rock hard suspension makes life easier with aggressive offsets (but has countless other downsides as most people know).
  15. This was yesterday The rear right had been done when this photo was taken. I had the fronts rolled as well because my left one has rubbed twice on a big dip in the middle of a tight low speed right hand turn at the exit from my work. They are 245/40/18 on an 8.5" wheel with a 35 offset. I hope the rolling fixed it but won't know for sure until I drive the car again.
  16. I just had mine rolled - there is not much to be gained (3-4mm maybe) by cutting/trimming/shaving unless you cut right back into, or beyond, the spot welds which is madness IMHO. I had a 275/35/18 on a 9.5" wide wheel with a 30 offset and it would rub if I hit a hard bump and I know it would hit on the rolling road too. When I go to the rolling road I run a 285/35/18 on a 10" wheel with a 45 offset and that clears perfectly. When I used to have Tein HA coilovers there was never any rubbing even at lower ride heights with the 275s - just goes to show how stiff the springs are! Geo - do you want to gain more room for a particular tyre size on existing rims? If so do you know the rim width and offset?
  17. You can 600bhp with stock jap cams on a decent 60mm or larger turbo.
  18. My (non billet) 67DBB made 621hp and 589lb.ft at 1.7bar, another member (Jamie P) made 632hp and 545lb.ft at 1.8 bar on the same model turbo and both of us were on stock motors with stock cams. With the 272 cams you have planned you should be well into the high 600's. If you change to a billet 6765 then you could be up in the mid 700's with the right boost and fuel.
  19. And me please: Name: dandan ECU: Syvecs S6GP Trans: Manual Turbo: Precision T6776DBB Cams: Stock Jap Spec Mapped By: Ryan G Result: 621bhp/589ftlb Notes: 1.7bar - Cast Manifold - Custom Built Kit Rating: 10/10
  20. Thanks Peter - very interesting. I wanted to coat the internals of my exhaust related parts last year but couldn't find anyone to do it. Nice to know you offer that service Could you do exhaust ports on either an aluminium or cast iron cylinder head as well?
