  1. Did you do it on the car mate?
  2. Thanks dude. Bit strange how some people have ones that seem too big and others are like your's where they need welding in - cr@p really. I think I'll get the plain diameter bit turned down a quarter of a mm or so and I could also turn them to the exact length as well I suppose...
  3. I had a look at my ARP wheel studs yesterday and tried a test fit in my spare rear hubs. The studs stop out long before the splined part of the stud reaches the drive flange's spline as if the stud is the wrong size. Does anyone know the ARP's measurements? Could I have been sent the wrong studs? It seems to me that Iif I do press them in, the plain diameter portion at 13.93mm will wipe out a fair bit of the female spline in the hub (which measures approx 13.8 across the small part of the spline and 13.99 across the largest diameter). Any thoughts?

    Arch Rolling

In that case you'll have no worries at all

    Arch Rolling

If your suspension is hard (e.g. Tein HA) or sitting pretty high you'll be fine with 245/40/18 and 275/35/18 in 99.9% of all driving. If you run low or with sensible softer suspension then the front will be fine 99% of the time if you run a 245/35/18. If you went to a 245/40/18 it will probably rub on deep troughs/bumps if you hit one whilst turning. The rears could rub on a big bump. Personally I'd try it with no rolling and see how it goes.
  6. OK mate - thanks. Time for a clearout again!
  7. I have a really nice Magnaflow silencer I bought to weld into my Nur Spec to quieten it down but then I changed to a 4" so it's sat wrapped in the box now. If you are interested then I can get you the part number and some photos. It is 3" straight through, about 18" long, 10" across and 6" deep. One end is centre entry and the other is offset to suit the exhaust routing. Full stainless.
  8. OK mate fair enough - as long as the hydraulics place knew it was going to be submerged. It's the outside that perishes and breaks down - not the inside or lining.
  9. I've read a little on those diffs recently as I'm thinking about upgrading from my Torsen. What do you think the OSG would be like on the road Paul?
  10. Would one of these help you? 45degree male to female dash 10.... http://www.earls.co.uk/earls/imgs/at924106.jpg http://www.earls.co.uk/earls/adapters/anadapters/femalemale.html

    Car Cover

I bought a Halfords one this morning, I'll report back once I get a chance to try it on the car. (Never had a stormforce one though)

    Car Cover

I think I'll give the Halfords one a go then. The mirror pockets are probably not essential with electric mirrors folded in plus it seems the stormforce is out for me anyway as I have a TRD spoiler.
  13. I've got a Precision 67DBB which I took off my car a couple of months ago to try a BW unit. It has done about 6,000miles all on the road with no track use. It spools extremely fast (1bar by 3700rpm in 3rd gear on a flat road) and make bags of bottom end torque (400lb.ft at 4000rpm ). It has a 0.81 exhaust housing but I do have an unused 0.68 as well which you could have if you wanted even more low end grunt. There's a dyno plot in my sig so take a look if you are interested. I can't be bothered to fit it back on again now as I had to make a few alterations to the rest of the install when I fitted the BW turbo and I can't be bothered to undo them as I'll probably be trying a bigger BW. Drop me a pm if you want some pics etc.
  14. Fair enough. I took my facelift lights out and went old skool shiney
  15. Does anyone have one fitted to a stock bodied car with a TRD spoiler?
  16. Jay, If you went with non facelift lights (painted black or whatever colour you wanted or just left shiney) you could wire straight to the integral sidelight in the headlight unit and then put an orange bulb in the fog light area and wire that to your indicator loom. That would free up your sidepod areas without butchering anything. Just a thought.....
  17. Great - will call you today mate.
  18. Remember my one with the Boostlogic pulley That was a bit of a butt clencher! Nice job Hodge One question - is that hose suitable for continuous submersion in fuel? When I did all my searching around I couldn't find any braided stuff made to go "in-tank" - only the Gates specific submersible hose which is not braided.
  19. Did you have any luck finding the plastic battery termninal cover mate?
  20. Still interested in the diff and shafts if you do split. Nice package for someone though. Good luck with the sale.
