  1. Yep, certainly was a good day out, some of the Skyline launches were awesome. I'm not sure who i was stuck behind trying to get out (silver supe, i was in dark grey metallinc with trd bonnet) we got stuck at the burger van and then i had trouble with some at the Fast Car stand. I think i caught a glimpse of some semi naked women in there so that explains the crowd!
  2. Hi all, Nice to see so many Supras in one place, although when i got there at 7.55am there was not a Supra in sight!! I think overall it was a good day, great watching some sideways skyline launches and the red beast that pootled along sooo slowly for the first 80-90m then nailed it a got something like 11.0 ! Anyway, nice to meet a few of you after seeing usernames for last few months, hope you liked my car (metallic grey facelift with gold bits at front of our "huge" plot) and lets hope everyone's still up for the planned trackday. Thanks again Phil for sorting this out, much appreciated by all I'm sure. Dan
  3. I've never been before to pod, but was told the queueing situation can be a total nightmare! Do we just queue with everyone else (even though they're going to normal carpark) or do we take a different route in or something? Iknow this was kind of discussed above, but couldn't get my head round what people were saying/describing Anyone help me out at all? Also....everyone getting there early or what?
  4. Got my sticker Phil, nice one mate. Thanks a lot.
  5. I'll double check to make sure, i've got a feeling it may well be when the aircon is on. Should it cycle up and down though?
  6. What time is everyone planning on getting there???
  7. No it's odd. It will idle at say 850rpm for about 40secs then rise to 1100rpm for 10secs then drop back down again. Then cycles as described. I'm sure it's not a leak as it makes a clunking noise when it rises (as if some mechanism stepped in to raise it on purpose). It follows a regular pattern too.
  8. Hi Guys, I did my plugs about a month ago but don't remember have any probs with any hoses, or even touching any! Am i missing something? I did struggle with one of the screws though and nearly rounded the head off, then took a bit of confidence to pull up firmly enough to get coils off!
  9. OK cheers matt, I'll have a look for it (could take some time)! Is it similar in size and appearance to the P.Sensor, other than the red light? Where would you fit one on a supra?
  10. I understand that air con will result in rise/fall of rpm but what if rpm rises and falls in the pattern i described above regardless of aircon on or off? I always run optimax from same place so for me it's not fuel related. Cold start 1200-1300 ish then drops very soon to 900ish. Then begins cycling upto 1100 is and back and forth. Any ideas, or areas i can investigate?
  11. My tickets haven't arrived yet either! nor my sticker
  12. Mine idles high, typically 900-1000rpm, sometimes it drops a little lower but NEVER to 600rpm. When sat idling it cycles from 900 up to 1100 for around 10 or 11 secs then back to 900 for about 40 secs then up again. Quite annoying! Any ideas people or anyone have anything similar?
  13. Hi Matt, Rang today but you weren't in. Spoke to the other chap (as my car was making the noise at the time) and he said it was the "omni sensor" (sp?) and it was too sensitive. He said he had to be adjusted via computer at a Clifford dealer. Is this a seperate sensor to the Proximity Sensor III? I take it this is not related to the anti jack add on that was fitted with alarm? What exactly is this sensor matt and how does it differ to the P.S.III By the way, it was vey windy and car was parked near a tree, no metal around centre console though. Hope u can help, Thanks
  14. Help Help Help I've been to my local Toyota garage for some prices on cambelt associated parts and this is what i'm faced with, can anyone help or offer alternative place to buy from? Tensioner: £34.62 +vat Idler Wheel: £52.59 +vat Damper: £32.84 +vat Steve the prices you we're talking about seemed a lot less than this, any ideas?
  15. Hi everyone, Just making some enquiries about this meet, as I've never been to the pod before. How much do the "normal" tickets cost to get on (not for strip runs or anything)? Is there any chance of getting a sticker to park with everyone else, on the club stand? If so is it likelt to be mega busy getting in and out of place to the stand? How safe is the normal carpark for leaving my car in and just walking around inside to come and see you lot? Cheers people!
  16. Ok after some ..ahem..."testing" : Kicked front tyre a few times........nothing Kicked back tyre once...........alarm goes off Lifted centre console and what do i see? a "Clifford Proximity Sensor III" - not below the armrest but under the ashtray where i keep my spare change! Could the money be causing these chirps/barks do you think? What exactly does this proximity sensor do? Is it for detecting movement inside the car or close movement outside or something else? What would kicking the tyres and setting the alarm off indicate? - that i have some sort of shock sensor? Thanks for any answers/advice
  17. ok matt i'll do that now this afternoon, thanks for your help. I'll let you know
  18. Hi Matt, As far as I know (i bought car and it had alarm fitted by previous owner) the only extra is an anti tilt device as the chap was a bit worried about his wheels. This noise, as i say, is quite short, sharp and abrupt. It is nothing like the beep beep sound of arming/disarming and nothing like the sound of the alarm going off. It is fairly loud and does sound (to me) like some sort of warning. I'm pretty sure that there's never been anything metal in the centre pocket when it makes this noise, and ther times i've had my phone in there, parked up, and it hasn't made the noise. Is there anything i should look for in the car that would tell me if i have any extras such as the proximity sensor fitted? Thanks a lot for your help Matt (and everyone else), hugely appreciated. Dan
  19. Sorry people, it's a 300 !!! Does that make a difference or could it be the same thing? Does the 300 have this too? But why would it do it if parked still with nothing moving around the car, ie on my driveway or carpark at work with noone walking close or anything?
  20. John i dont seem to be able to view it with my current media player and on my crappy dial up that's almost out of the question for now. That's a shame as a comparison would be ideal.
  21. Anyone shed any light on this for me? ....... Sometimes (not that often) when I park up my car and leave it sat there with alarm set it emits a real harsh, abrupt chirping sound. It sounds like some sort of warning but is quite loud and embrassing when it happens if parked outside an office or similar. It makes the noise every couple of minutes until i deactivate or "valet mode" the alarm. Any ideas???
  22. Excellent, Sounds good Pete. Looking forward to it.
  23. Neons! On my beast...............no chance! :)
  24. oh i see, got ya! I'll check next time i have to demist. Pretty sure mine aren't heated though.
  25. I'm interested. Never been before but would love to go.
