  1. To be 100% safe you don't really want to be much leaner than 11.5:1 under boost. Could stretch a little higher in search of more power but I'd prefer the safety margin offered by running a little richer. Paul the 450 has not been "proved". You got 382.9 at the hubs. Still pretty good though..about 80-90bhp higher than some of the stock Supras I've seen at Thor in the past.
  2. Agree with you regarding power at hubs Paul. I never mention any other figure to people when they ask as anything else is a guesstimate really.
  3. I always look at the Thor figures and factor in just over 10% to get to a rough flywheel figure. Ties in quite well with what most stock cars have put down in the past on the hub dyno.
  4. If I had these fitted I'd have offered any info to help you out straight away. As it is, I do not and therefore cannot! At least you got a couple of constructive comments coming back to you anyway Hope you get it sorted ....
  5. Good man CJ, sounds like a reall balls up to me mate. I hope an amicable solution is reached...
  6. Did you get a copy of that video in the end Charlie?
  7. We're you running stock rod bolts the?!? What revs were you running to, and at what boost?
  8. Tony, I'm looking into something you may be interested in but am not at home now, I'll pm you over the weekend.......
  9. There is a fully mappable version of Aquamist's WI available if he's that keen. I'm sure the extras can be bought seperately to "upgrade" him to the mappable setup if he wants.
  10. That all sounds a bit discouraging Chris, I think there's a few members on her with Whiteline suspension kit on their car! I must admit I was not considering the WHiteline stuff myself, more leaning to the TRD's if anything. Thanks Alex, I know that Titans are on a backorder at MVP (4 weeks approx) whereas TRD's are in stock and significantly cheaper. Chris what is your opinion on uprated antiroll bars for a road based mkiv which will see an odd track day on occasion. ie This is a road car, definitely not a track car where road manners come second place. I'm thinking of going for the HKS coilovers I mentioned to you and at the moment just considering whether ARB's are worth the investment. As Alex said the TRD's are supposed to be 27% stiffer than stock and would cost me around £250-270 for the pair. Front stiffness: Stock 364lbs/in TRD 462lbs/in Rear Stiffness: Stock 340lbs/in TRD 432lbs/in What do you think?
  11. WHo's running non stock anti roll bars? TRD/Titan/Whiteline.... I'd be glad to hear your views experiences and reasons. Cheers Dan
  12. CJ, Where are you now in terms of suspension setup?
  13. Anyway........ Does anyone have a spare pair of heated seat switches they wish to part with then?
  14. Most power I've heard from a stock based twin car for sure.
  15. Cheers guys, Any more.....................
  16. Richie, your 473.6 will be no more than 510ish at the crank. As most people have said, you are on the limit for stock based turbos. Dude/Ian... I know your cars are different specs but how good would you say the performance is below 100mph. For example Ian, would you car with the single would out accelerate your old spec from any speed under 90mph, even say from a 20mph roll? Let's assume no brake boosting for now. All out typical street driven responsiveness and acceleration under triple figures..how do they genuinely compare? Have you done any performance measurements like you did a while ago (related to cams egt's etc) I seem to remember 0-100 was approx 10.5 secs? ARe you in an auto as well Ian?
  17. Thanks for posting but I'm seeing a red X Jurgen??
  18. That's a lot of power from stock based turbos. Mind if I ask what boost that was at, what is your torque curve like. ANy chance of emailing me a copy of your prints? (or posting them up somewhere) Cheers Dan
  19. Guys, Can any of you help me out? I need to see some photos of Supras with coloured wheels, be it black grey etc etc My current wheels are gold centres with a polished rim. I am getting them fully refurbished and the guy has recommended shiny black centres with a mirror polished rim. This is on a Gunmetal facelift Supe. I think it will look pretty smart but would like to see some black rimmed Supras first. Can anyone post up any pics (ideally black rims), I know we all have loads!! Cheers Dan
  20. 14 years... Christ you must have been working with those horrible old units of feet and inches along with slugs, ksi, BTU's and other such nasties! Horrible. :)
  21. They're the ones with simple boring answers though! Hopefully this won't for Eyefi's automated greenhouse watering system - struggling on hose pipe size !!! Crossing fingers it's engine related.
  22. Cheers Matt. By the way, my dad went back to Sextons today and they're gonna fit some different speakers now (one pair front and rear) but I think they wanted to check with you which speakers to go for. I think they were looking at about £150 per pair, no doubt you'll get a phonecall tomorrow if that's alright. The other chap at your place mentioned something about a sub to fit in the Supra sub boot space to use in addition to the Alpine one, that will run off the same amp...sounds interesting. Also, I was wondering what happens to the stock tweeters, is the norm to replace them too or just disconnect and go with two way (non component) types? Any news on the alarm at all? I know you send end of month but I'm holding out for a rogue one turning up in a Sextons somewhere!! :)
