  1. Guys, Can anyone tell me the approximate fuel pressure these run with please? This is the returnless fuel system type. Cheers Dan
  2. Is the dash display for sale seperately?
  3. What about the rpm and rod bolts? Head been skimmed at all or new valve seats fitted?
  4. As I asked earlier Arnout... What cams and headgasket were you running? Max rpm? Stock rod bolts?
  5. What cams and headgasket were you running? Max rpm? Can we see some pictures of the head and what's left of the valves and combustion chamber?
  6. My last session was just after the Golf crashed. I was waiting to head into the pit straight when it happened. My car was the light blue (old type) Mini with the white roof. My brother was in the Cooper S Works, also light blue with a white roof.
  7. I saw a Red Supra there on the track (I think it was Wilfman) and a Gunmetal one which didn't go on the track. I took my 1380 Mini and had two goes on the track but it was very very wet, tipping down for the first one and slight drizzle/mist on the second go. Still good fun though, two weeks worth of engine setting up and suspension alignment tweaking was worth it. I wouldn't have gone round any quicker in the Supra. My dad and brother took the Cooper S Works and there was nothing between us on the 2nd outing (far too slippery for my dry weather beast on the first go). There were a few other Minis there lapping pretty quick but they were well past the limit of traction and showing excellent driving skills sliding round nearly all of the bends. I wasn't prepared to push it quite that much though in the wet!!
  8. Don't touch the nipple at the bottom, that's a valve for filling/setting pressure of the nitrogen. All adjustment is at the top of the units
  9. I know exactly the knocking/slack you are talking about. It's the dual mass flywheel. They all allow some movement but it does worsen with miles. Ideally you want to be looking to replace the flywheel at 70000 or more.
  10. Does anybody know who Toyota used as their paint supplier? ICI, DuPont..... Anyone got any ideas?
  11. Why are you questioning that?
  12. Chris, If you were doing a fast road spec bpu Supra (or maybe even a small single) would you fit a front mount of any type or would you always go for one of yours? I'm talking about a front mount where the time was spent to duct it as best as possible and make all attempts to keep water cooling up to scratch.
  13. I agree with Chris. Go for a set of Turbo Technics "stock replacement" type hybrids. These are the cheapest option T.Technics offer, definitely not any sort of stage 2 or 3 hybrids with enlarged compressor wheels or clipped turbine wheels. Ring them for a chat. I have had a lot of dealings with many many "turbo" companies in the UK and would recommend T.Technics and Universal Turbos. However I've never had Supra turbochargers from Universal Turbos. These replacements are running on one of my cars and I have had zero issues with them (been on car for several years now, approx 22,000 miles). As I stated earlier at 1.3bar max, my EGT's have not gone above 800 degrees. Typical running at 1.1 bar daily max I don't see above about 760 (ish).
  14. I rate the Goodyears above my old Toyo T1-s. That was in 275 35 18. I've also run Yoko A032R soft compound (not on a Supe though). They are very grippy ONCE HOT, they wear pretty quick and make very strange noises on smooth roads.
  15. I've never seen above 800 degrees on one of the J spec Supes we have which is running "hybrids" (steel turbined jap replacements) at 1.3bar maximum. This is with stock IC, 440's, a Walbro and no water injection.
  16. Which arms did you replace Paul and at what kind of cost? Top and bottom front and rear?
  17. Slow progress due to other commitments to be honest. - My Supra, my dad's, engine mods, susp mods etc etc plus too many trips away working interrupting everything. It's by no means forgotten or ignored though.
  18. Sorry Charlie can't realy offer any help here mate. If I think of anything I'll let you know. Keep us posted though on any progress. I can have a nose through my engine manual to see if there's anything in there in the meantime.
  19. You did, sounds slightly throatier than stock as well.
  20. No idea about the buckling problems but to be honest i don't have any experience with these wheels. Bobbeh, what offset are you running?
  21. Yeh I know that Jake, it's the offset that was worrying me as 40mm running a 285 on a slightly lowered car will be getting close (maybe too close) to the outer wing lip. So I guess the question is..is anyone running a 285 30 on a 18x10 rim with a 40mm or less offset?
  22. What year of car are you having sva'd?
  23. Thanks guys, much appreciated. Time for that thinking cap now, I think a 275 is the widest you an run on the rear with these. Anyone running a 285 30?
