  1. Anyone know what the perceived limit is flow wise with one stock fuel filter? At what sort of power levels do people generally swap it out? Can anyone tell me the threads sizes entering and exiting the filter please? Thanks Dan
  2. I do not have the adaptors to take a photo of, that's why I'm looking for some. I am pieceing parts together for rail, fpr etc and will need some of these to use (for example) Siemens top feed injectors. The conterbore in the runners to seat the injectors is miles too big, the pieces I am after are similar to the PHR, HKS ones. I need some to suit normal top feed O ring sealing injectors, like these ones...
  3. Generic 14mm top feed type. e.g. Siemens, Rochester, Bosch etc
  4. Can anyone get me some of the small adaptors that seem to be a common fit for people converting to 14mm O ring type injectors? Do they come with a slim O ring on the outside to seal against the existing counterbore in the runners? Cheers Dan
  5. Who's is the fastest car Simon, are you running perfect now?
  6. Is there one of these left now or not?
  7. Do you mind telling me who was offering the second hand one if you are not going for it?
  8. Charlie, Exactly what have you got running from where to where with regards to breathers? What boost we're you pushing and any chance you were detonating at all?
  9. I have a Trial Tuning Spirit left over in my garage now if you're interested in that for not a lot of cash? It's very similar to a HKS Superdragger, a real nice deep subtle rumble, plenty of "sound" on full power but not too neighbour annoying at idle.
  10. I think the defi fuel pressure gauge will display differential if you have a boost gauge too. Surely something like the AEM must be able to track differential pressure from map and a pressure transducer in the fuel rail somewhere - output this to a warning or ignition cut if it drops below the preset.
  11. Alex, I wasn't solely referring to a pump failure. Terry - why would the low pressure be at idle? Surely a problem could occur at any time - idle being the least damaging of course. I was just considering the possibility of some sort of ignition cut if the differential fuel pressure dropped by a predetermined amount and that got me thinking about who's actually monitoring f.p.
  12. Encased in rubber eh? I'm not 100% familiar with the seal and it's environment so will go away do some digging around and I may get back to you with a question or two if that's alright. fastisnice: Is everything beneath your headgasket standard? Stock bolts, rods, seals, bearings etc. Your certainly pushing out a shit load of power and with those cams - not shy on the revs either I bet. Modding the head and valve gear is fine - I'm looking forward to doing that, much less hassle (for me) than going to the bother of pulling the engine out for the sake of rod bolts. Are either of you running stock valves/springs/retainers?
  13. These are the stories I've been looking for, I bet that made a mess! Thankfully significantly higher loading than I'll be putting mine under though. Thanks Usmann.
  14. Oh sh!t I see what he's talking about now. Enough said.
  15. Any of you guys running singles have an in car fpr gauge or any form of warning/cut related to fuel pressure? I appreciate that by the time you've actually seen a change or heard a warning beep it could be too late anyway and your sludge like piston remains may be slipping past your turbine wheel but maybe you'd see some giveaways before a catastrophic loss of pressure somewhere?
  16. Pretty much the same kind of use mine will be seeing Ian. Possibility of the odd track day here and there but not 100% as I have other cars for that. Crank seal issues - yes. I must admit I didn't think of that relative to this thread. Christian are you running stock seals still or have you made an ungodly discovery of something better? Surely the less restrictive the breather system is the less pressure there will be in the crank case from blow by. Where and what have you closed back to where Ian? Has anyone modified their oil pump and/or drain hole?
  17. Cunning placement of your EGT probe there Mr C. - Out of harms way so to speak. Any issues with the welding and the BL manifold coating? Just to add, I have not heard of any BL or PHR/HKS manifolds cracking. Maybe it's the sort of thing people keep to themselves. Terry, on your old car did you run 6 EGT sensors or am I imagining that?
  18. Good call. What about those in the midst of it like Tony. No experience yet, but he's elbows deep!!
