  1. Excellent thanks Danny. Much appreciated. Could you also measure the total width across the wheels please (front and rear) - outside of left wheel to outside of right wheel. I'm guessing it'll be around 1700mm. Also whether you're on stock wheels would be handy too. Thanks again
  2. Could be right up your street.... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=76539
  3. I'm not sure if the 1.3 Starlet motor would give me the combination or performace/reliability that I need. I figured the 2.0 litre 3SGTE would give massive reliability even when kicking out 250bhp. Plus I want to keep the install as (relatively) simple as possible and I've pretty much settled on rwd as well. Something rwd with a complete drivetrain/susp package should make for a nice install. Danny, it'd be great if you could take a few rough measurement for me - nice one... Can you measure the front and rear track width please and a rough measurement from the rear axle to the gearstick please? Also the height from wheel centre to highest part of engine, approx total engine/box width (with any ancillaries), and a measure in front and behind the back axle of any part of the engine/box/diff. Just trying to get a rough idea of the space envelope needed for the package. Any photos/info of the gear linkage would be handy if possible and can you tell me - is the clutch cable or hydraulic? I found an EPC for the MR2 but not gone through it yet in any detail. I'm on the lookout for Toyota workshop manuals as well (just in case you hear of any for sale) ps Did you buy thw white endless Supe?
  4. Ok guys, For those of you that don't know I am a big classic mini fan with an appetite for taking cars on the track but am fed up with reliability issues from 120bhp+ A series engines. After umming and aaahing over power train choices (honda vtec fwd, vauxhall XE fwd, Hyabusa fwd or rwd, 1UZ mid engine V8 rwd, vauxhall V6 mid engined rwd etc etc) I think I have made a sensible choice..... My plan now is a mid/rear engined mini running the later 245bhp 3SGTE setup from a late mk2 MR2. I am planning to transplant the whole rear drivetrain, suspension and brakes into a custom modified mini pickup. A front subframe, suspension and brake transplant may also be on the cards but that is undecided at this stage. My plan is to buy a 1994 or later crash damaged car and transplant as much as possible. My knowledge of MR2's is a little limited. What I need is as many photos (and as much information as possible) on the rear subframe, engine, box, brakes etc - the whole lot. I have put a post on IMOC but I know there's some MR2 owners on here so... Anything you can post up which you think might help would be great. Initially I want to see what sort of spaceframe to mount the MR2 parts (like engine/box/driveshafts/hubs/wishbones/struts and subframe) is going to be needed before I commit to buying a car. Many thanks in advance Dan
  5. Traders, Can you give me a price for a pair of these for a UK spec please? Looking for cross drilled ideally (are the DBA cross drilled?) or slotted if no cross drilled are available. Front only at the moment, delivery in England. Many thanks Dan
  6. Any idea what the spring rate is fella?
  7. Should we quantify "full boost" here? Someone may be thinking 1.2bar, others 1.4bar. Some (like jamiep) might be thinking 1.8 bar!!
  8. If CJ backs out then I'll definitely have it as my brother is desperate for some new suspension and this would suit him fine.
  9. If it is complete with top mounts then I can give it a good home. How many miles on it my friend?
  10. Yep agreed, best to stick to hub or wheel figures. A good BPU on the Thor dyno wants to be making 360+ at the hubs. (something like 395-400bhp at the crank).
  11. Yep got pics. Post up or pm me your email address and I'll send them over.
  12. I've got one in pretty good shape. I bought it for my car but it is no longer needed. £65
  13. Thanks fellas, Bob has sent some fronts to me and I think the rears will be ok for the MOT. Chris - expect an email from me tonight/tomorrow. nfsjoe - will reply to your pm shortly. Cheers all.
  14. Ok fellas, My brother and I are about to set up a small(ish) company (nothing to do with Supras) and are in the initial stages of planning, checking, researching etc. We have an idea for a name and to the best of my knowledge it is not registered as a ltd company nor as a .co.uk If I search for it as a .com it comes up with a search page on a semi related topic and as a .net, it goes to a shoparound.com page. Do you think that means only the .co.uk is free? OK for someone who is not mega clued up on domanins etc how do I go about getting the web address? Also does anyone know how much it costs to reserve the ltd company name or do I have to actually register the limited company to get the name. We're not quite ready to do that yet. Thanks for any help Dan
  15. Sorry Justin I can't give you an answer but I wanted to chime in and ask what thread the Defi EGT kit is...
  16. Agreed, but apparently it's being converted to UK spec all round within the next month so not really looking to buy new ones if at all possible...
  17. Ok thanks Bob - whereabouts are you exactly? Want to pm me your postcode/address? Anyone else?
  18. Guys, I need some brake pads for a J spec urgently. Got a friends Supe here for a pre MOT check over (MOT is Friday) and the pads are wafer thin and the braking is sh!te. I’ve never worked on J spec brakes before, mine are UK but I think it’s fair to say these have had it! The lining on these ones is about 2mm thick. Does anyone have any pads spare – second hand ones will be fine if there’s any life on them at all. Main priority is front pads, rears would be an added bonus. Also I’m in Gloucestershire area (postcode GL3 2SH); if you’re within 40mins or so drive then that’ll be perfect. (Postage could be an option but would need to be next day so not ideal). Please let me know ASAP. Many thanks in advance. Dan
  19. I may still have my one. It was boxed up and ready to post but I never heard back from you. I can check tomorrow night and let you know...
  20. More torque with less boost if the ports and thoats are done correctly as well. What cams are you fitting?
  21. If you have been repeatably hitting 16:1 under boost you may be a little late.
  22. If your injectors are purple/lilac coloured then they are 550's. If they are grey or red then they'll be 440's.
