  1. Darryl said he is seeing close to 7.0ms pulsewidth and it should be closer to 1.0ms. That suggests an electronics/electrics/earth issue to me. The injectors are actually being fired for too long causing an over rich condition. btw I find a controlled blowtorch application a great way of rejuvinating wetted pulgs...
  2. Anybody get any overheating power steering?
  3. Sounds like a great day was had by all. I would be keen on doing a similar day and imagine my father may well be keen as well.
  4. What a bastard. Anyway, back to part no. searching...
  5. All, I am planning on refitting my Defi boost gauge and EGT gauge back into the car in preparation for a bit of BPU++ tuning as I need to keep an eye on things while mapping and setting the car up. These two gauges are going in an A pillar replacement piece. I also want to fit a Defi water temperature gauge and an AEM wideband but have no idea where to put the water temp gauge. I plan to replace the clock with the AEM wideband display and just need to decide where to mount the water temp gauge. I don't want any extra gauge pods screwed onto the dash and don't really want to lose an aircon vent either. Does anyone have any extra gauges fitted into the dash anywhere? Many thanks Dan ps This is a facelift car/dash.
  6. I stumbled across this thread when searching for injector o ring part numbers. From memory Ian this was a dodgy SAFC or connections to the SAFC wasn't it?
  7. I may be able to help you out there Greg with a set of 550's and a new genuine resistor pack. How much of a rush are you in? PM me..
  8. I'm looking but not holding my breath. I think I've tracked a TRD one down for around £33...
  9. The £10 was aimed more at a non named brand of stat
  10. Does anyone know what other car model's thermostats fit the Supra? Or somewhere that sells a 72degree stat for more like £10?
  11. Paid. How soon do you think you could post them my friend? I am goign away next weekend and would really like to see them before I leave. Thank you...
  12. Just waiting on contact/payment details imi...
  13. 65 quid for a thermostat! F' that...
  14. Thank you. 82 is lower than I was expecting, hmmm. TRD sounds expensive, have you ever bought one?
  15. Morning all, I was just wondering if anyone knows of a 72*C thermostat to fit the 2JZGTE. I assume the stock one is 88*C as per most cars of this era/design. Any ideas? Thanks Dan
  16. Probably gained me another half a horsepower!! The 997 Turbo is now in my sights!
  17. It sounds like a sneaky little elec problem in your loom/coil packs/earths or possibly some sort of corruption in the EManage. What's the stock O2 sensor putting out? I know you're in the 10's but is the sensor actually reading rich voltage - just wondering if it's trying to tell the ecu to richen all the time as it's reading lean? What would the stock injector cold idle pulsewidths be, anyone have any ideas? Edit: Does the Emanage blue alter duration basd on battery voltage it's seeing? If so can that be disabled for testing purposes - extra duty could be being added if the emanage isn't seeing 12volts.
  18. If possible I'd definitely try another Emanage unit before reverting to stock. What exactly (if anything) were you doing on the car before this first cropped up? Were you doing anything near any footwell wiring, dash panels on/off or anything like that. I notice that two times out of three a plug change seemed to help - this cannot be the issue though (especially given the pulsewidths you mentioned). Do you know if the idle pulsewidth definitely dropped back to normal after the 2 out of 3 successful plug changes? How do these current afr's and pulsewidths compare to your normal cold start/ cold idling?
  19. Can you run it for long enough to compare hot idling to cold idling?
  20. It's a shame to go to all that trouble and then leave the head and bottom end standard..... (Just planting seeds for Tony all looking very nice though, very thorough)
  21. There are differences yes. That's why I'm asking. It wouldn't be a good idea to run the other way around due to the pressure drop through a coolant radiator core. This way round I think the trade off is slightly reduced cooling vs a specifically designed coolant rad core. However it's going to cost me peanuts, be fully reversible and will give some benefit in coolant temps.
