  1. Last I heard it was a problem with the quality of the turbine housing castings and the yield was very low so they were in the middle of qualifying a new supplier.
  2. My parents have a 2002 Cooper S Works and I love driving it. The runflat tyres are horrendous and make the car feel hard, jittery and uncomfortable - once you take those off it transforms the ride and becomes an excellent machine IMO. Cornering grip is great in wet and dry, handling is precise and predictable, seats are comfy and Ilike the simple but kind of funky interior style. Downsides - steering wheel material doesn't last forever, PAS pumps can fail apparently but (touch wood) no problems yet, boot space is terrible.
  3. I don't know anyone who has done that in such a way that it can be compared to the stock turbos and an NA setup. To keep an apples to apples comparison you'd need the stock airbox, IC, cats and exhaust or else you'll be changing the VE and skewing the comparison.
  4. Ryan made 598hp at 1.4bar with (I think) 264 cams and a mild gas flow job on the head. Luxluc made 625hp but not sure on the boost
  5. He didn't mention turbos Scott so any points about efficiency and temp are irrelevant compared to "the 360hp NA".
  6. Sump plug works fine, that's what I did.
  7. No Jazz I mean "buy" - that why I said "buy". It would have been far cheaper to buy this oil you are referring to than go to war to get it.
  8. Good post and FWIW I agree with everything there. I can't see how or why anyone would argue with any of this.
  9. 18 billion what Jazz? $$$ of oil? If that's what you mean then it would still have been far cheaper to buy it.
  10. It would have been FAR cheaper to just buy it.
  11. That's horrible Greg - very sorry to hear about this. Just remember, it's nothing personal.
  12. I started writing a technical response related to the structure and collapse but I lost interest. People love a good argument and I realized I'd end up posting in the thread even more as "jet fuel burns cool" and "buildings don't fall straight down". Maybe it was a Fred Dibnah copycat! RIP to anyone and everyone lost in the tragedies on and since 9/11.
  13. Yeah my Borg Warner 84-75 screams and whistles like a banshee getting sucked into a jet engine!
  14. Do you want to sell it Mark or are you boasting?
  15. What's your fuel pump and non return valve setup Ian?
  16. Mine has the blue pressure plate and it's fine. I changed to the NA slave cylinder to lift the biting point up a bit (and also make it heavier than a TT setup) and I think it's great but not for skinny legs! . No problems in traffic even with the NA cylinder. Mine's making 590lbft (SRR) and I've put about 12,000miles on it so far
  17. Blimey - who sold one for that much?
  18. I'm 99% certain I have a V160 with the small diff. Will check later
  19. The lower cast arms on the front are different - facelift have bigger, softer bushes. You can see a difference in the third pic here....look at the size of the bushes are the rear most part of the rear bush. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?194439-Dan-s-Supra-Project&p=2672336&viewfull=1#post2672336 I think the front uppers have the stiffer bushes too. All others are the same.

    Beather setups

Scott, If you leave the plenum side connected you might consider putting a filter on the end of the hose conencted to the exhaust cam cover as it will suck air in when the throttle is shut.
