  1. Tut tut..that's no way to behave!
  2. I believe (as per the Origin B2) the first year is free and then it £50 per year after that.
  3. Are we not to discuss the reliability of ANY AEM products or could we still potentially discuss the reliability of something like their CDI ignition systems? Their ECU and their CDI system are two things I was considering purchasing but I may just stick with the DLI and EMU if I can't bug people here for reliability info on AEM products..
  4. Yes I liked (like) it - I thik the Pogo Drive which is GPS and camera warning works out at £225 which is not terrible I suppose. However, I know nothing about the systems and have heard nobody mention them.
  5. Anyone know about these? http://www.pogogps.com/?pe=1 I'm considering getting one as I can get a £75 trade in on my existing Origin B2 I'm looking for opinions...
  6. I'm glad you posted this up Ian - I was going to link to that very same thread. Personally I was about to "upgrade" my Emanage Ultimate to an AEM but if Dan Turner is an example of an approved AEM dealer and/or representative (and going on recent actions/attitude) I'm inclined not to bother. I'm intrigued to see what Phoenix-One turns up and will then make my decision. Also will Dan be charged for trader membership retrospectively now?
  7. Is it sold, if not - what sort of £ are you after?

    Here? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=711818&postcount=8
  9. That's what I used for a long long time - no issues with it my friend except I think it may have been a tiny bit louder than the OEM one.
  10. I have dabbled in that Chris (kind of lairyish cams - 280 inlet/290 exh) but i think the natural damping in the intake system helped preventing any real reversion by the time it might have found its way back to the MAF. Then the plenum intake was binned, intake cam changed again to something wilder (can't recall now) and it went to Alpha N tuning but nevermind (needs must when using throttle bodies and big cams I suppose).
  11. Which is why trying to map an engine running a 290+ degree intake cam can be a total whore on a speed density system. I've developed my own little damper using a plastic fuel filter and a little restriction in the feed to go with it. This is not on the Supra by the way! (Sorry for the slightly off topic post there, but it's kind of relevant)
  12. And with the right care and attention lavished in the right areas and maybe a few additions and aids along the way...the ability to suprise where the trophy girlfriend is simply expected to perform.
  13. Yes I've seen this first hand on an sti5 Impreza.
  14. Damn I've been rumbled. It is a wedding present for my best friend's half sister who is marrying the chief in my village. If you could send it out today I will pay you £2000 but you'd need to forward the remaining £1734 to my cousin in Nigeria who will be very grateful for your help.
  15. Nor me Ian. My Supra has a K&N panel element and my other cars run K&N cones on long cold air intakes. John - I think you may have misundersttod me. I wasn't suggesting the mass of an air filter would be an issue ( ). What I was getting at was where Pete got his opinion from and under what circumstances did HE think paper was better than foam. I was trying to say that a foam filter could be made as good as a paper one but there would inevitably be trade offs in potential pressure drop, thickness, filter size, cost etc. A blanket statement saying foam is worse than paper sounded a little "rigid". Does a paper element offer as good pressure drop as a foam filter when wet for example? Is was a bit of a pointless comment anyway as I am not a supporter of foam filters and have never used one personally.
  16. On what basis? Thickness? cost? weight?
  17. Yes - forgot to add mine is 100% ducted - top, bottom and sides (sides are very tricky with an OEM bumper and it's still a bit "ghetto" at the moment )
  18. I changed from a side mount to a front mount and I think it's fair to say I now notice slightly earlier pick up from the engine when coming on boost. In reality I suspect this may be slightly misleading as it's more than likely due to better cooling giving a couple of lbft gain pretty much from 3000rpm upwards - this kind of makes it feel like it picks up quicker. In theory if the FMIC and associated pipework is less restrictive than your OEM stuff then you may feel some benefit. I need to measure the pressure drop across my setup now and compare it to before. I'll post up the results when I get a chance.. Edit: SOmeone will probably come along and try to tell you the extra volume in the FMIC will cause more lag. If you do the maths on airflow it's quite clear this is not the case in reality. I certainly noticed no lag type problems, as I said - if anything things did get slightly better.
  19. Keron - just pm'd you a couple of questions incl if you want paypal'ing the money. Hopefully it's sold but I'm just waiting to hear back guys...
  20. I'll take it but need to find out about fitting - I'm not sure if it's a DIY...
  21. That's the tray and the lip potentially sold then But seriously...any news on this?
