  1. I've noticed mine seems a little smoother and more torquey in the sub 2500rpm range with the baffle in.
  2. I'm watching this with great interest. I would love to see this using the stock 190mm arrangement for the rears though. Was there no way to get the AMG calipers to work with SUpra rear discs? What sizes are we talking about here?
  3. Oh dear....it might be time for me to sell up afterall.
  4. Gunmetal in the middle on the first pic, quicksilver on the right. Second pic is the gunmetal car (mine ) and again, Quicksilver on the right. In some light the QS looks quite dark and similar to gunmetal. It's a much richer colour than the standard silver - one of my favourites. My personal colour preferences in order are Gunmetal - Quicksilver - RSP - Black.
  5. Mike - I'm afraid you are well off with that statement. This is the very essence of how a turbo works. The turbine extracts energy from the exhaust gases in the form of heat. If you get no temp drop across the turbine then something is VERY wrong.
  6. Just had a look at Ian's DBB dataloggin thread and the DBB T67 in 3rd pulls 53-80 in approx 1.9secs and 85-110 in 2.7secs. Good comparison. Looks like a good arguement for me trying more than 1.1bar of boost and also leaning out my . I'm having a little play trying to really optimise my twin setup before going to a single...
  7. OK fellas, Just reinstalled my EMU unit and have a few questions. I have searched a lot and done a fair bit of playing myself. Anyway, just thought I'd throw the following out for discussion: 1. Running stock 440cc injectors what lag time figures are people using? ---I have tried 0 annd 0, 0.09 and 0.09, 1.1 and 0.7 etc and am currently on 0 and 0. She is running a little leaner than before though and idling about 150rpm lower. 2. What sort of ignition timing are people seeing at various boost and rpm levels when flat out. ---I am seeing 30 degrees under 4000rpm at 5-6psi, 22degrees at 12psi and still making somewhere over 24 degrees at 15 psi up in the 5800rpm kind of area. 3. How about intake temperatures? Does anyone know for sure in the temps shown with ver 2.0 are accurate? ---I am seeing aout 40 degrees C with ambient at 15 degrees and engine bay around 45 degrees. I'm not sure if this is correct. 4. Is the speed input accurate or does it have the same kind of error as the speedo? ---Apparently I pulled 53-80 in 2.7 seconds in 3rd gear and then 85-110 in 3.7 seconds in 4th gear which seems reasonable for 1.1bar! By the way, all of this is from my second run doing any kind of datalogging so I may have a few errors somewhere but will play more tomorrow. All input appreciated.
  8. Oh yeah.....he'll pay for them...but he's only looking to spend £30 or so.. tight git!
  9. OK guys, My dad has some rather tasty 19" wheels on his Supra but as with a lot of aftermarket wheels they should have spigot rings. If I supply the dimensions does anyone fancy making a set for me out of something like 6082T6 aluminium (I can supply material).. Rough dimensions (I have exact drawings....) 2x Bore 60.1mm OD 66mm 2x Bore 60.1mm OD 79.4mm I have access to machine shops through work but everyone is so busy I can't really get them working on parts for my private life (not really ) Many thanks Dan
  10. Sounds like a good day was had by all. I am really pissed off I couldn't make it Good plots and nice to see the overlaid plots of different specs too. Nice job. I will get mine on SRR before the single goes on.......
  11. Best of luck fellas - I'm really pissed off I can't come. Unfortunately I am just leaving for work. I will get up to SRR at some point soon for a comparison run, just gonna cost me a tad more to go seperately but never mind. Looking forward to the videos etc....have fun!!!!!

    Recaro Seats

I can get you someone's phone number tomorrow night if you're stuck - he's good and reasonable too
  13. Looking forward to this fellas - be good to meet you all especially since I've been posting on here for over 4 years but nowadays don't know very many members here. Homer - sorry I did not confirm explicitly but assuming I can still have an early slot (giving me the option to get away well before lunch) then I'm in.
  14. Glad you and Ryan were sharp enought to catch everything in time. And related to your other comment....when are you coming around this way again Homer??
  15. I spent a whole weekend ducting my fmic install. Bumper - intercooler and intercooler - rad. It's hard ducting with a stock bumper properly (mine is still unfinished in terms of cosmetics) and it's potentially easier with an aftermarket one (especially something like a Do-Luck). As far as ducting an aftermarket bumper to a side mount I guess you should be able to cobble something together using a combination of OEM ducting and some expanding foam. Whatever happens - do something and try to seal it completely.
  16. I think he said he was going to post up the drawings and parts list anyway...
  17. Like I said - I'll have them. Assuming you do want to sell them to me, do you want to pm me some payment details??? Seen as your in Kent and I'm in Gloucestershire i can hardly "put the money in your hand" and assumed you'd be accepting paypal or a cheque or something???
  18. Chaeating on who? There's no prizes for biggest numbers.........
  19. I use it on all my NA engines of different varieties that have tubular manifolds but have never had a turbo motor to put it on - no real use on stock twins Anyway - I've never wet it once and as long as you do it properly it'll stay tight and neat for aaaages. Never seen the need to use water. One or two clips at each end of a 10" length is fine too. I have melted a mild steel tubular header before now with a highly tuned race Mini engine. A constant 105mph 6000rpm+ run in a Mini for 12-15mins or so means things get a little warm at 13:1 especially when wrapped up nice and tight around the intersections! Lesson learnt the hard way. It melted at the primaries' intersection and looked unbelievable when unwrapped to inspect.
