  1. Numbers are from this post... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?194439-Dan-s-Supra-Project&p=2768301&highlight=decibel#post2768301.... my setup works well to chop a lot of noise out, especially low speed cruising around town and the neighbours. With the butterfly open I have one 4" straight through silencer which adds a bit of "tone" and takes the flat booming and dead sound out of an unsilenced pipe. Exhaust bypass valve closed - quiet mode: 1000rpm - 83.5dB 4000rpm - 90dB 5000rpm - 96dB Exhaust bypass valve open - noisy mode: 1000rpm - 90dB 4000rpm - 91dB 5000rpm - 101dB Seen as the 4" dumped portion exits under the car I thought I'd try a test a little closer to its exit. The following were taken just in front of the rear right tyre at about 100mm above ground level and about 100mm from the side of the car. Exhaust bypass valve open - noisy mode: 1000rpm - 89.3dB 4000rpm - 99dB 5000rpm - 103dB "On the move" it's even quieter than the static numbers suggest - perhaps I should do some drive bys at the weekend Edit: I don't have any first hand experience of valves fitted inline (as opposed to a bypass like mine). I can imagine they would help the noise but you'd want to avoid high boost if the valve wasn't fully open. My one is a DMH which comes with a 4year guarantee.
  2. Pics added of teh relay board (used) and the DB37 wiring kit (new and unused). I also have a spare DB37 conenctor body that I will throw in with the wiring kit as well as it is of no use to me....it may be handy to someone else.
  3. What's the reason for that?
  4. I've got a used TT6 V160 one. I removed it to fit an NA one to increase the throw to suit my clutch. How does £25 posted sound?
  5. Nice pumpkins people Here's mine....
  6. I think they come as standard in some Aerotops. Pic now attached in 1st post.
  7. Brand new: 0.68 undivided turbine housing £80 posted Ported, anti-surge compressor housing (this is a 4" intake and 3" outlet to the IC piping) £110 posted On the right: On the left: Cheers Dan
  8. I'm selling my spare wastegate as I could do with some extra cash after moving house! Comes with a few different spring combinations, V band flanges and clamps. Really nice unit with options for plumbing up in different places on the cap - makes life much easier than the Tial units. £180 including insured postage or £170 collected from Gloucestershire. Cheers Dan
  9. HIF44 will see you to 110hp on a 1380 easily so would be more than ample on your 1275. You'll need the correct needle for your spec (only really possible to get 100% oin a rolling road with someone who knows about SUs), the correct spring in the dashpot for part throttle running and then finally the right oil in the dashpot for throttle response vs. lean spots when stabbing the throttle.
  10. Bad day for me - really wanted to come too.

    Supra in the snow

Do you have to remove them as soon as you get off the snow? Do they work ok on ice as well as snow?
  12. Bump - thanks for the questions and replies lads
  13. I am selling my Mines ECU. Had this fitted to the car for about 5years and cannot recommend it enough. Homer, JimC and Ryan would all vouch for how quick the car was at BPU - noticeably quicker than two BPU VVTis in our family - and the ECU had a lot to do with that. Usual stuff - raised boost cut, higher RPM limit, speed delimiter, leaner fuel map, more aggressive ignition timing..... I'm looking for £400 or nearest offer. Can post if needs be but buyer would have to pay for insured and recorded delivery which will probably be about £10-15. Otherwise I can do collection pretty much anywhere in Gloucestershire. Thanks for looking Cheers Dan
  14. I'm keen but location dependant.
  15. So are you running narrower than 275 on that 11" rim? Edit: I just looked at the pic and judging by the big gap between the tyre and the rim....I guess you are.
  16. Sure looks like a handful! Is that the fuel pump(s) making all the noise?
  17. Yeah good idea - you need to spend some time driving it and appreciating it. I've put over 10,000miles on mine since fitting the single
  18. Have you thought about dropping the price?
