  1. What difference do you think that makes? It's not the overfuelling that's the issue - it's the lean condition that inevitably follws!
  2. It's a good idea to have a flex - not least if someone bumps into you from behind.
  3. That'll only be good for a normally aspirated carburettor fuelled engine. I'm assuming the engine in the Starlet is fuel injected?

  5. RLTC won't increase your traction at all but instead of spinning the weels you'll get pops and bangs from the exhaust and a "safer" ride... You need to bin the 19's so you can run higher profile tyres - I change back to stock rims and tyres for the colder months for this reason (and to keep my other wheels looking good).
  6. There is something in the ABS (like a minimum speed) below which the ABS is supposed to be de-activated. Slow speed ABS issues seem a little strange as it's not supposed to be enabled (maybe it's Try the ABS system fault code diagnosis http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=517078&postcount=7
  7. Do you have a boost gauge and if so what's that telling you?
  8. What is the spool like on that turbo Ro? 4th gear...what sort of rpm will you reach say 0.5bar, 1.0bar, 1.2bar and 1.4bar?

    America?

I love the brutal honesty. To be fair..........catch me on a bad day and that's the exact response you'd get from me.
  10. Nic - can you pm me a price on a HKS kit minus the turbo please?
  11. I could probably get the numbers for you by early next week - would need to bring one to work....why do you ask? (Basically are you just interested or is it important?? )
  12. Unless it's a fully ducted and totally sealed front mount and you can feel air being pulled through from the fan(s).
  13. You won't bend a Pauter rod in a 2JZ
  14. Thanks for the offer Wayne but no thank you - can't be arsed with the resistor pack. Cheers anyway. Michel - I have a brand new set of 650 SARD's boxed etc. Any use to you?
  15. Have we had some rpm related rod (or rod bolt failures) on this board then?
  16. Anyone have any injectors for sale - PE, SARD etc that are direct replacements in a J spec car (therefore side feed and high impedence) and they must be 750cc/min or bigger.....I think that puts me in the 800 or 850 range for sidefeeds.... Cheers Dan

    Electric shavers

I liked the Gillette Contour Plus wet shave - couple of blades, small head - perfect. However when the Sensor Excel was introduced I was pleasantly suprised how long the blades stayed sharp...4 to 5 times that of the C+. I have never found an electric Razor worth bothering with CJ although I have never spent big money on one or had a wet/dry version. I would imagine they are much better. If I were looking again I'd probably get a straight (foil?) type one over a 3 way thing - less chance of going "against the grain" so to speak and potentially getting some rash/ingrown hairs as a result. My current electric one is fine for the cheek area but a total mightmare on neck/throat area - I never used to get shaving rash until I used an electric razor so now pretty much only use it for sideburn/beard trimming. Weapon of choice at the moment is the vibrating Gillette orange multiblade wet shave razor - not 100% sure what's it's called
  18. To get enough airflow to generate the power he desires?

    dyno readings

Interesting numbers.....where is that intake number measured?
  20. The only ones that will have will be the ones with standalone ecu's where the mapper cannot setup the DBW 100%. In those cases the addition of a ford type bypass valve is not uncommon. Or the other option is to live with the (not as uncommon as I thought amongst our standalone vvti enthusiasts) "I have to blip the throttle a bit and coax her into life on the cold cold mornings" method of cold start....crap if you ask me.
  21. Do you ever head south in the Gloucestershire direction Ro? (with the Supra obviously! )
  22. I can write something tomorrow if I get 10mins spare..... What exactly are your car's symptoms and what are any sensors/logs telling you when you are in problem territory
  23. Did you have any luck with the dyno sheet?
  24. Great thanks - timing couldn't have been better
