  1. Homer - where you moving to? New neighbour?
  2. Chris do you still have this damper? I still need to get my car back up to you to swap the PAS pump back out (remember?) and do a few other little jobs. I am still in the US at the moment and have hardly driven the car since I was last up with you. My damper is a little tired and a swap may be a good idea while the car is with you Thanks Dan
  3. Wanna swap for an almost stock 98 RSP 6 speed
  4. Come down to Houston.......plenty to do here!!
  5. Need to supply them with 3 vsv's - so looks like the AEM controls everything....nice!
  6. Sorry for the slight hijack Mike but this is related: Chris - on stock 17" wheels what size and brand of tyres do you recommend for greatest cornering grip and progressiveness and power transfer to the road for wet and cold road driving during the winter months? (This is for a manual 400bhp Supra, stock weight, Tein suspension*) *I know you hate Tein so no need to mention it
  7. Good man - if I could find one for (I'm in the US as from Wednesday but an intercooler is a little big for the suitcase!!)
  8. Any chance of posting up some pics of yours? How much are they?
  9. Join the queue! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=135795
  10. Can I see a photo of your old one me keef?
  11. Did you remove the "ring" Mr Keef. I can investigate getting some made if someone gives me an original to work from.....
  12. I did some reading of the original thread many months ago but have lost track. Are they using ECU controlled solenoids to control EGB/intake valves etc or is it a purely mechanical system they have adopted to route the exhaust gases and intake charge?
  13. Oh dear I take it that it was either a modded RS6 or you must have been completely murdering it??
  14. IMHO... If I was going for a "serious" new engine build I would either do it myself with an AMAZING engine builder and engineer I know (pointless me putting you in touch with him though as you'd probably wait 18 months or more for something - I waited 10months for my last engine!) or I would speak to Chris at EngineLogics in Houston TX. http://www.enginelogics.com/contact.html - this guy seriously knows his stuff and will give you some straight up honest advice to suit your goals. (A lot of the US guys seem to dislike him - mainly because they turned up with their "1000bhp (well known Supra tuner built) motors" and failed to put down anything much over 600 brake on his dyno. He told me the majority just left the "Supra Meet" at his place and drove off in disgust after the first few performed dismally on the dyno). He's not one for BS USBHP figures!!
  15. What happened to yours Jamie?
  16. No point with the metal HG. In theory attempting to retorque them will actually do nothing at all anyway unless they are slackened slightly first. The friction when torquing a nut up (ie when the nut is spinning) is about 20% lower than the static friction (when the nut is just sat there and you attempt to tighten or loosen it). If you torque one to (let's say) 40lbf.ft and then use the same wrench set at 40lbf.ft again once it is already torqued nothing will happen...the wrench will click out...the nut will not move. ....that's why undoing a nut will always take more torque than when doing one up (it's typically about 20% ignoring any vibration/heat/corrosion etc).
  17. Very nice Wez - nice one. I intend to go for a 272I/264E combo once I've got my single installed (not on the cards just yet though). It has to be timed perfectly and the timing on the exhaust cam is crucial too or else you will probably just see losses pretty much everywhere on the torque curve. I've seen real world proof on the 3SGTE motor and the theory holds for the 2JZ as well, obviously.
  18. I bought a set to tide me over until I find mine (put away safe somewhere in the garage)! I'll give you a shout when I find my original ones and if you're still looking you can have them...
