Please see photos. This is a brand new A pillar pod I bought and never used. It can be used with 52mm or 60mm gauges. I don't want to post this as I had loads of problems a while ago with another one so collection only from Gloucestershire area - I can meet as required at a sensible distance. £65 cash on collection. Cheers Dan

This is my used Apexi BOV; I had it on my car for about 20,000 miles. Now there's not much you can say about a dump valve is there It works fine, looks fine and does what all the others do. The main plus point I would mention is that is has a very DEEP sound (don't misread that as very loud). The sound is deep, nothing like an HKS SSQV which is quite a high pitched squeal. It is also sensitive to "dump" at part throttle lift off (something that some of the others don't seem to be ableto do). I am anly selling as it's been off the car for the last months or so as I took everything back as close to stock as possible and never refitted. I also have the adjusting ring that goes around the main body to adjust the sound. Never bothered personally but it's included. Offers above £70 please.

I ran this on my car for a few months while I had some custom FMIC piping fabbed up to clear my stock airbox. I must admit the noises it produced were very different - louder intake roar, louder dump valve (and I was running the stock one at the time), induction whirling noises etc etc.....not what I was expecting Perfect if you're looking for a cheap induction kit or you NEED one because or a cheap FMIC pipe kit which fouls the stock airbox. The underside had some damage on the wire mesh so I repaired this as shown in the last pic - works perfect and is not visible either.. It has a red silicon hose at the moment and I could swap this to the blue one if you're into colour coordinating and have a blue theme going on! I'm looking for offers over £75. Cheers Dan

for sale Dash 12 AN - Earl's Monster Breather setup
dandan replied to dandan's topic in Parts for Sale
Ok for those who asked...I've updated the first post with a few photos of the real parts and my old loving room carpet! I was slightly off in my initial description - I've actually assembled this with a 45 degree off the Tee on the exhaust side to help go over (or under) the turbo intake pipe. The other end of this has the 90 degree fitting on. I also have some a couple of other bits that may be of interest as shown in the photos of this post: 1) 1x #12 swivel on approximately 250mm of #12 Autoflex hose 2) 2x #10 blue Econofit clamps. They are Earl's posh version of jubilee clips that have anodized covers over the top. 3) 2x #10 straight swivels on approx 3ft of Autoflex hose (shown in the photo with the catch can) 4) 2x #12 blue Econofit clamps (also shown in last photo, loosely assembled on end of the #10 oses towards the top right of the photo) -
Maximum Torque Through A Chris Wilson Clutch Setup
dandan replied to dandan's topic in mkiv Technical
And I think quite a few people have held ~360lbf.ft on a stock plate so that puts a potentialceiling of about 430 on one of your uprated ones Chris....maybe more but nobody seems to know. Ball bags...I think this means I need another new clutch setup....jesus! -

for sale Dash 12 AN - Earl's Monster Breather setup
dandan replied to dandan's topic in Parts for Sale
Thanks for the offer Chris but I've had a few pm's already so I expect them to shift no problem at this price. M5WTT - I'll pm you back later, thank you for the pm and offer. Do you intend to go to the intake or a catch can? I have the real parts in my living room now so will get a pic or two up tomorrow of the actual parts as a couple of people have asked to see the actual items. -
Maximum Torque Through A Chris Wilson Clutch Setup
dandan replied to dandan's topic in mkiv Technical
I'm going with a 67DBB so not sure at all ! No track or drag use though....ever. -
OK thanks Chris - I will do some measuring and drawing and get a few details uptogether. I can probably get the bells made so there's no major problem there as long as I make them to suit the discs....Correct me if I am wrong...with a fully floating setup, the bells still have round holes for the bolts/fittings and the "float" is accomadated for in the elongated holes on the disc. Is that right? Also - I have seen a few aluminium rear bells around. Is that ok for handbrake usage?
-
OK thanks for that Jamie - good point
-
Bugger - I thought that might be something you'd put together for your Skyline! OK - is there anyway/anyhow I can get a real rough ballpark figure for the cost of custom discs if I have OD, thickness and mounting bolt PCD for bell?

I have the following parts which I am either going to sell or return (at a loss). Please let me know if you are interested. Everything is brand new and never fitted: 1x 809112 #12AN Forged 90 degree swivel fitting 3x 800112 #12AN Straight swivel fittings 1x 925112 #12AN Male/Male/Female swivel fitting 1x 804612 #12AN 45 degree swivel fitting 2x 997114 #12AN Aluminium weld on fittings Approx 12ft of #12AN Autoflex stainless braided hose I bought all these parts a while ago for my breather setup but have had a change of plans and am going for something a little different. These parts give you everything you need to go from each cam cover all the way to your catch can or turbo intake in genuine Earl's #12AN fittings and hose. All fitting are the swivel type which means the hose can be rotated relative to the fitting once assembled (makes installation much much easier) and this is something a lot of the cheaper Aeroquip/Moquip style ones do not do. I have attached one of Paul Whiffin's pictures below as this shows the same fittings and the hose size. I've also attached a screenshot from Earl's.co.uk which shows all this stuff excluding the male/male/female tee (which is the most expensive fitting by far) and the aluminium weld on items. As you can see it is already at £295 and excludes the Tee, the two weld ons and shipping. Most people know this stuff is very pricey so I don't plan to take a massive hit on what I paid. Also this is all assembled except the the 45 degree fitting. Depending on if you connect to a catch tank or the intake will depend what length the hose needs to be for that fitting. I could cut it to length and assemble if absolutely necessary. I am looking for offers over £190 for all this and will probably wait a week or so to see what interest I get and go from there. Cheers Dan ps I also have two #10AN straight swivel fittings and #10 Autoflex hose which I could sell as well if needed.

Maximum Torque Through A Chris Wilson Clutch Setup
dandan replied to dandan's topic in mkiv Technical
OK thanks Kev, let me know how you get on please. Chris and I spoke about it but he wasn't 100% sure how much it would take so I'm wondering who has one and what sort of torque thery are putting through it...hmmmmmm Anyone else? -
Is anybody here running reasonable torque (let's say over 450 lbf.ft ) through a CW clutch? Anyone know of someone who's pushed one to slipping point? Cheers Dan
-
330-333mm really Rob; 340 would be too large but thanks for the info. Chris - on your ftp site you have an "AMG Brakes" folder and photo. They look like the 8 pot Brembo calipers designed for 360mm OD, 36mm thick discs. Do you know what discs the actual ones in your photo are? Are they Mercedes or aftermarket?

for sale gathering intrest BRAND NEW BLOCK + BRAND NEW HEAD
dandan replied to TRD DAN's topic in Parts for Sale
If you are planning to make BIG power from a single install then you would be better off with a good used block (with as high mileage as possible) rather than new. Sensible power levels will be ok on a new block. -
What do you put on the rim? Is it lacquered or clear powder coat?
-
Bad timing....I have the whole lot (90 degree low profile for inlet side, male/male/female Tee for exhaust side, 2x straight and 1 x45 degree (to go to your catch can or inlet pipe) plus a spare 90 degree fitting as well. All assembled -12 Earls with 2x aluminium weld on fittings as well and stainless braided hose........was going to put a for sale thread on tomorrow!!! Attached pic is one of Paul Whiffin's....what I have is the same but with either a 45 or a 90 to enter the catch can (or intake tube).

Does anybody know of any kits/other vehicles/upgrades/etc that could get me a 330mm diameter rear disc to fit the Supra and retain the stock handbrake mechanism? eg K Sport/KAD/Brembo etc etc

I did pm you back regarding the exh. manifold gaskets. Please let me know if you are no longer interested in selling so I can source a pair elsewhere. Cheers Dan
