  1. Bondango - I read somewhere that the 997 Turbo's turbos are not true VNT in the commonly understood sense (multiple vanes) and are actually a lot closer to the SP valve type setup but with mapped conrol over the "flapper" position. Are you referring to the OEM 997 turbos in your description above?
  2. If you do find a scrap caliper I'd love to have a piston out of it to make some custom ones if you don't mind. It won't bedamaged and I can return it. Cheers Dan
  3. Not yet, ended up with a disaterously busy Xmas so no fun stuff yet!
  4. No good for a divided manifold or a non divided turbo though. I've seen these before years and years ago and they were basic but did improve some midrange pull. SP aren't doing anything funky with the control yet it is either open or closed but that may well be mappable with some sort of stepper motor, MAP sensor and ecu setup. Edit to say: They do state what it will and won't work with, I replied before opening the links.
  5. I'm thinking I'm going to keep it now fellas (given the rarity and relatively modest sum I'd get if I sold it) unless I get a good offer. Thanks for looking and pm'ing.
  6. Paul - wherever you get yours from, can you still get me a Dash 6 one please. Cheers Dan
  7. Provisionally sold to Luke pending payment.
  8. Just in case anyone picks this up on a search.....the holes are 8.75 - 8.80mm diameter. I accidentally stumbled across a spare watr neck/elbow in a set of drawers in my garage - a nice find!
  9. I think there is a factory ecu ABS diagnosis possible that will highlight sensor issues
  10. Anyone? I would go to measure one of the barbs but my vernier seemed to freeze to death in the garage!
  11. I want to tap them both, blank one and then feed water to the DBB cartridge off the other. I'm just trying to work out what thread I can get away with: #4AN would be a 7/16" UNF and that would need something like a clean 9.75mm hole to tap. M12x1.25 would be more like a clean 10.75mm hole to tap. Obviously the smaller the holes are the more meat left in the original part for integrity.
  12. Those of you who have modded your water elbow... Can you tell me what size the holes are that are left when you pull the standard barb/pipe pieces out? I'm trying to find a fitting to thread in there but need to what to tap it to first. The reason I am asking and not doing is I am getting evrything up together forst before commencing! Cheers Dan
  13. Damn - am I selling my stuff too cheap or something? You and Termy pretty much convinced me to keep the 3 gauge A pillar pod! I'd better make sure I don't undersell my Emanage Ultimate and RLTC then as well....
  14. New and unused HKS weld on aluminium flange. £22 including postage.
  15. Could some of you single turbo'd guys let me know what length of oil feed pipe you have to your turbo and whether you have fed it from the front or rear of the block. Many thanks Dan
  16. Why are they so rare - I always assumed they were just as common as the two gauge versions.
  17. Maybe I should keep in then in case I add another Defi gauge! Hmmmmm Boost, EGT, Water Temp so far.....oil temp, oil pressure and fuel pressure would all have their uses I suppose...
  18. I had these ultrasonically cleaned and flow tested about 5 months ago before I had a change of plans. I can have them cleaned again if desired by the buyer but they were bagged and sealed the day they were tested so should be fine. £94 including postage. Cheers Dan
  19. As per title - brand new resistor pack. Needed on any J spec car to run low impedence injectors like the UK spec 550's. £78 posted. Cheers Dan
  20. Hi Luke I will be back in work on the 5th. Will it be ok if I post it on the 5th or 6th? If so please pm me an address - a work address with a company name would be better (than a home address) for me in terms of postage if that's ok. Cheers Dan
