Hey guys, Right i have got a few bits sat in the garage now that i can let go following the rebuild. They will be useful to someone but i just dont know how much they are worth. I dont want to put them up and rip off/not get a sale but i also dont want to be mugged off. So...can someone have a look and let me know a rough price that these parts normally go for. I can put them up +/- accordingly then. Standard suspension setup Standard bodykit - side plastics and pods. J Spec front brakes (calipers and usable discs) Any help appreciated. Thanks, Chris

Hi all, Right just after a maybe more experienced opinion on an issue I'm having. Any input appreciated. So i jave had the car on the road a few weeks, things seem to be okay - but occasionally, on trying to turn the car over, it doesnt. I get a clunk but it doesnt turn over. So im thinking that it could be the starter on its way out but also thinking it could be an earth issue. I had a dc5 previously and found out that earth kits make a big difference. Anybody had any history with surpa earthing? Cheers. Chris

Ok sound, cheers guys. Keron, iv been trying to pm you without any joy since you said you had a drivers door checkstrap. How much you after for starters and that drivers door strap too?
-
Hey guys, Think my starter is on its way out, so after a good used one if anybody has got one, give me a shout. Also, still after a drivers door checkstrap.

Na i dont drift...at all. I'm definitely a 'grip' man. The standard arms have some camber adjust on them right? That's the main thing i'm after. I like running a decent amount of camber on the front, works for me. Around 2degs is what i'm looking for. Thing is, i suppose its down to what you are used to and like. I'm not bothered by a firm ride, and i've always had my cars that way and it works for me. Have to work up some options.
-
Yea i knew i had to stick with the original colour. Looks great when it's fresh! Even got some pop in the sun too!
-
Thanks sheefa! Arms - i've had a quick look around...driftworks do the front camber arms for circa £200, rear arms...well it depends which one. Won't be replacing them all...just the ones that will allow the adjustability i want. The rest will get new bushes and a clean up/paint when they come off.
-
Yea there wasn't a massive amount of rot on it at all apart from those little bits. Underneath it's completely solid - so that's good. The arms are a bit flakey but nothing deep, just surface and all new arms are on the cards anyway over the next year or so. The sills got sealed before the skirts went on and waxoyl'd profusely so hopefully there won't be any major issues anytime soon. Cheers

Okay, so i posted a thread in the newbies section when i first got this car last July - and it's been sat since needing an update. So - here is 9months worth of updates It is a continuing project now with a fair bit of work still to follow up on... It's a '94 N/A, with a rebuild carried out on te engine before it was taken off the road. The original intent for the car was a long term project, taking couple of years to do as the money became available...but who can have a supra sat on the drive and not get it on the road? So, the project picked up pace quick. Bought in a bad way, the car had been stood for about 3-4 years just degrading. It belonged to the son of someone who lived opposite my mum and dad, so i was seeing it all the time but had nowhere to put it - until i bought my house all of a sudden i had a drive and i made an offer...got it! Awesome price because they knew me and it was on MY drive. So i needed to strip it back as far as possible and find out what needed doing. Beyond the obvious respray, the sills needed some attention, outer only though, the inner sills were good. So i got a friend of mine to get some plates on it. The intention was always to get a kit on it, so there was no need to be pretty - just needed to be done well. Happy days, welding all done and the car is stripped down good to go for paint. So i bit the bullet, sold my E36 328, bought a crappy £400 volvo and in she went to the 'shop. I said they had about 6 weeks, and they gave me a great price too. Whilst it was in, i ordered a fiberglass OEM style kit from GRAMS, great quality too by te way - would recommend to anyone! 4 weeks later - bam! Done! Wow, what a job they did too. Repairs done (and well), Spray done, kit fitted. So, mega happy with that, and after coming home from being away for 3 weeks - i loved it and straight away got to putting it back together. I'd already bought some XYZ Coilovers from VTEC Direct when i got the car. I had these on an Accord Type R previously and they are good bits of kit for the money! On they went - looking awesome and shiney Removed rear ARB too - I did it on my E36 and it works well to settle the back end in quick switchbacks and mid-box chuckers. Easter rolls by and i take a week of leave with the intention of getting it on the road that week - MOT booked for end of week, so that's the deadline... I'd just been paid and with a little bonus in there too - it got spent. Wheels ordered - Japan Racing JR11 18x8.5F and 9.5R in ET30 all round. Tyres ordered - 245/35 fronts and 255/40 rears. Having spent the best part of a month trying to work out what offset/tyres would work considering the standard arches, it was a little bit of a dive in the dark. Exhaust also got ordered from Whifbitz - the 3" twin box system with 2nd decat pipe. Shiney! Front splitter came from Slouch Performance - Kaif who runs it is a top bloke and i can't give him enough praise for sorting a great price and getting it out to me quick. And so...it's done - well it's on the road. There are a few things that will need ironing out over the next few paydays...but it runs like a dream. I work in South Wales and so my drive from the North West is through the awesome A-roads and it feels great, sharp as i could ask for. Rear ride height will be adjusted once i know the coilovers have settled a bit, but there is clearance there.

No worries, cheers anyway!

Keron, sent PM, can you get back to me with a price please bud? Its just the actual plastic strap i need, the mounts are intact.
-
Anything further on the checkstrap bud?
-
It's the little plastic bar between the hinges that stops the door flying open past a certain point.
-
Hello buddy I'm after a checkstrap for the drivers door - you got one you can flog to me? Chris
-
Hi Guys, I'm looking for a checkstrap for the drivers side door. Anyone splitting a car - let me know please. Cheers! Chris

Hi Guys, I've got an LSD from an e36 328 Sport that i bought for but never got fitted to my old 36. Good working order, was on a car before i took it. Looking for 350 for it collection from wirral, give me a shout if interested! Chris

The restrictor ring is for the turbos to restrict boost pressure. Pretty sure that if the 3" exhaust wasn't good for the N/A, Whifbitz wouldn't have stopped the 2.5" system production. The 4" is there for the blowers...

Afternoon all, Im pretty new to the forums and was wondering if we have got anyone in a dealership that can sort out parts at reasonable prices? Im after some front bumper retainers, so alternatively if anyone has some they can sell me...let me know. Chris

You have PM

James, yea that gives me a better idea. I think i'm going to just go 18x9.5 front and back. I can get ET22 rears and ET35 fronts which should be spot on. The wheels that are on it at the moment are 16's - absolutely honking and completely pointless for trying to measure up.

Hi Guys, Been keeping a low profile building up my Supra, it has just come out the bodyshop and it's time to sort some shoes out for it. So...i have scoured the forums, UK and US for an answer over the last few weeks but have come up short so i need to ask for some knowledge on here. Basicly I am looking at a set of JR11's, and for starters can't decide on 18 or 19. I love the look of the 19's but I know the 18's would be better for handling and help keep the car feeling like it's on it's toes. What i am really after knowing is - if i go 10.5 on the back, can it be done on non-rolled arches and what offset should i be aiming for. It's going to have coilovers on it and i'm going to be looking for the tidily flush-to-arch look. I don't want to stretch the tyres so if it's a no-go then just say it. Looking at 9.5's up front (around ET25) and want the staggered look...hence the chunky rears. Any guidance appreciated, Chris

Hi Guys, I'm Chris, new member from the Wirral. I've just bought a house and having watch a Supra sit with grass growing up around it on the drive of my parent's neighbour - i got it cheap and intend to restore it to glory. I've not got any pics handy at the moment but it is a '93 non turbo in grey - engine has been rebuilt but done very little milage since. Runs like a dream, so thats a bonus - but the bodywork needs attention. A project post will be going up Anyhows, thats me - i'm sure you will start seeing me pop up as i start to get involved in the forum.
