  1. And can I be brutally honest? I'm definitely no mechanic and I've never pulled an engine out before, or a gearbox or a radiator for that matter. This is all new to me. Wish me luck
  2. The car will come to a halt soon, funds will be the only thing stopping me I presume. And Paul... My paint ain't that good fella.
  3. I though that but it wasn't budging. I'll give it another go next time I'm down the unit. Cheers!
  4. The insulation tape works btw. Drives like a new car. I've been getting the engine prepped ready to be pulled out. Should be out some night through the week. Here is the old bay, next time the engine sees this bay it will be much cleaner, powered through a front facing Inlet manifold and boosted.
  5. This has me stumped, I don't usually get beaten but come one guys how the fudge do you get this apart?
  6. If you use the motorway I'll have my gopro on the bike lid, if you all convoy I could take an HD rolling video of the motors?
  7. Hi Josh, what Turbo did you go for in the end? Is that an xspower one?
  8. And thanks for the offer of using your boot Paul. Much appreciated.
  9. It's not a build thread as such, I've created a thread called bizzyfingers supra rebuild. It's nothing special atm.
  10. Payment sent through PayPal. If it's not gone through just let me know. Cheers.
  11. Thank you very much for the offer, I may hold you to it add me on fb my name is Gavin Oliver
  12. Basically I bought it as a shell, just so happens it runs and rolls (kind of:)
  13. Nope, my thought is I don't need the car right away, I've wanted a project car for the past 10 years and now I have one. If it takes years to do then so be it. When I'm done the car will be new all round. If I bought a one which is in good order I'd still want to do everything to it so by starting on a base which is rock bottom price because everything needs done then that is better for me. When it's finished it will be exactly how I want it and know every nut and bolt which is on the car rather than buying someone else's work and forever wonder what lurks beneath.
  14. Paint is terrible, engine lacking in boostage, bushes are wrecked, I hate the auto box, the engine bay has random wires going everywhere, the underside of the car is rusted and the bay looks like jack the oil slasher has been in there. I'm just unhappy driving it mate. I'd had it booked in for paint on the rear quarters and bonnet but decided it isn't worth getting it done before all the mechanicals are sorted out first, I've cancelled insurance and sornd it. It's not coming out until I'm happy... May take a few years but it will be show quality when it does.
  15. Sorry guys I'm gonna have to turn up on my bike. I've take the car off the road until I'm happy with it.
  16. It keeps suspension geometry in line. You will be amazed how much chassis flex you will get under heavy cornering.
  17. Go on then, put me down for a ticket, doubt that I'll be going on track though.
  18. Hahaha thanks for brightening a somewhat dreary day [emoji6]
  19. Because it's worn, scratched etc I want to paint it
  20. So what's your plans mate? Just gonna keep it as a cruiser or a bruiser?
  21. Cheers Acton that's cleared that up perfectly.
