  1. I have deactivated alarm, but still no voltage or flashing light. It is definitely the yellow picture of the engine I am looking at. Maybe there is a fault as 'Terminator ' suggests? This being a 98' import, could the test points be different to earlier models, (excuse my ignorance)
  2. Definitely cannot get error code reading. Terminator - I have checked TE1 & E1 in engine and under dash and there is no voltage with ignition on ?
  3. When engine is running, light does go off. But with ignition on, light just stays on permanently. I have tried both check connectors. Maybe the connection was poor I'll make up a new connector tomorrow and post results Thanks for the reply.
  4. I must be doing something wrong, I have connected copper wire to TE1 & E1 and the engine light just sits there permanently on? I have tried this by connecting wire after switching ignition on and also before swithing ignition on any ideas guys?
  5. Thanks mos, catch you tomorrow. Matt, Supra-Al, thanks for the info.
  6. The car is 6-speed manual. A toyota Dealer (Stratford) is telling me it is code 19? But I have never heard of code 19 (and neither have they), this is the problem. So they do not know how to isolate the fault. Incidentally, it is they who have caused the problem in the first place.
  7. I have an intermittent problem with the car losing all power to the accelerator and the 'engine warning light' coming on. Turning off and then restarting the ignition clears the problem temporarily. This problem then logs an error code 19.
