  1. You have a PM. The car is now sold.
  2. Thanks for that I'm amazed that it seems like colour and spec alone determines the price, rather than the actual condition of the car itself. I searched a long time for a a TT at around the price of my car, but I couldn't find one that didn't need another ££££ spent to make it half decent which is why I ended up with this one instead.
  3. I'll probably give it a go on there if no one is interested on here/ gumtree. Good advice re-number plate. It's one of those little things I always planned on doing just never did
  4. I know, I looked for every way to get around not selling the car, but I just couldn't make it work. It sucks.
  5. Trying to save for a deposit, and I have a daily too. So can't really afford to keep it. I haven't had it too long, my "realistic" idea of fuel costs to run it wasn't realistic enough unfortunately. It's just too expensive for me
  6. Thanks very much I try to do my best. Yeah I know it's quite high, but that's just to give me room to negotiate with.
  7. If I keep it I'll turbo it. Although I'm seriously considering just selling it and getting a faster car
  8. Thank you for that advice. I've stopped using the car as soon as it started, so I don't exacerbate the problem until I find a solution. I will give this a go at the weekend. Thank you
  9. No problem I bought my NA auto last month and it is pretty slow compared to my fiesta ST. Combination of quite a heavy car and long gearing on the box. It looks great, just doesn't go as great as it looks!
  10. I'll drain and refill next week then. Keep my fingers crossed that helps
  11. This means your overdrive is on. This lowers the gearing - good for the motorway. Switch it off and the light will stay on constantly. You may also find its a bit more responsive
  12. When you press the Manu button, L = 1st gear, 2= 2nd gear and D= 3rd gear
  13. '93 j-spec auto N/A I've noticed over the last couple of days that when my engine has been running for a while, I get a really noticeable wirring noise when I turn the wheel but also driving in a straight line and accelerating I get the same buzzy/ wirring noise. The level of fluid was fine. Am I going to need a new pump?

As far as i understand it, they aren't a straight swap. If this is wring then someone please correct me, but i'm pretty sure the TT intake has a different pattern for bolting to the head, as the heads are different on the GE and GTE. So you would have to customise it to fit

That's pretty impressive to be fair!

Yeah i think this is definitely the way forward for me I'm not chasing massive numbers, i just want it to have the performance to match the styling. I'm used to hot hatches, so switching to the supra feels kinda sluggish. Just want a bit more power

It's probably safer not knowing! So does XS produce it's own turbo then? I just assumed they used a branded turbo and fabbed their own manifolds etc. Didn't realise they also made the turbo! I may well do that! I have family in Cardiff, so can always use it as an excuse to go up Yeah that makes sense. This is the first time attempting to turbo a car, so i'm just a bit dubious to start buying up parts that end up being wrong/ don't fit. Which is why i was looking at kits. I guess in theory i can always go the kit route, then over time upgrade the parts as and when.

Awesome, thank you! I notice in your sig it mentions the Whifbitz NA-T. Are you currently running that? If so, how do you find it, and it it cost you more than you expected?

Do you have a ballpark figure of what it's cost you to do? If you don't mind me asking...
