  1. Page 5 No.96 there should be a supra which says Steve ! https://bit.ly/3lEgWLp Thanks in advance for the support
  2. Yea best way is to drop them a mail, for Max Orido racing I wrote a mail in Japanese and the guy was ok with me visiting he did mention Max wasn't around...He wasn't that inviting either. Awesome you been to alot of these places! I want to do Honda, Subaru ... there was a TRD place as well with some epic super GT supras including the legendary Castrol one...next time !
  3. Hey all, I went to Max Orido Racing garage some time ago, just before COVID started. I made a video, hope some of you will find it interesting!
  4. I have an original supra head unit which I want to fit in , I was expecting it will plug straight into the car without any need of wiring looms. I have a wiring loom from the car to the after market pioneer radio which I have removed. But was suprised to see the plugs from the car (without the wiring loom) won't fit into the OE supra headunit. Any ideas is there a harness from the car to the factory radio or has plugs been changed? Thanks harness to after market radio Here is the wiring plugs from the car Here is the OE supra radio
  5. I do agree a proper stand should be made, Toyota has been taking a very laid back approach with the heritage parts program. Is night and day compare to what Nissan is doing for the skyline. Even nismo parts are available. I’m pretty sure discontinued TRD parts for the MK 4 will ever come back but an extensive parts list for the a80 supra should be a given.
  6. Where did you buy your car from ? maybe the importer can do you favour and stash it with a car on the boat?
  7. A good set does worth that, at least that's how much I have paid for mine and I think Keron has sold a set at the price quite a while back... One of those rarish item I'm afraid.
  8. It was around about august time, ones from Japan yahoo auction are well priced but who ever you use to get it here might charge a premium to bid and secure and send them to you https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c804149722 jdmdistro can do this service
  9. I managed to get a nice an clean set for £1200 on ebay. japanese yahoo will be where I am looking if I was to get another set tho
  10. Yea I think we need to wave a lot harder lol ...need to start turning up to more meets with fellow members... I don't think there are many in my neck of the woods. (Hemel Hempstead)
  11. Me and a mate of mine will be interested... I get this paid up soon
  12. Mine one is a white wich is off a similar condition too millege probably not low as yours... Mine is 97 K KM..... is a stock RZ-S but gradually changing bits of it to turn it into a late RZ... Recaro seats, Carbon streering wheel (not yet found.... missed one last yr in September ) Black rear interior, managed to ship a set of 17inch wheels from japan. I am also trying to get hold of a black interior rear seats... seems to be harder and harder to get these bits...as the days go by... I keep my hopes up tho....
  13. Yea agreed the level of appreciation in UK is just not that high......... as per your example of the NA I don't think there will be many more freshly imported cars coming to the UK because of this.... Importers who do get the cars will end up selling them to other regions or europe or who knows. Once the demand really kicks up US folks will start to look for cars here. Even with R34 GTRs...clean bay side blue vspecs worth over a 100 k here by then time they get here. And I don't see a lot of cars getting sold beyond 60K....skyline prices still going up steadly. Maybe is up to us to keep the flag waving to get the new breeds more interested..... There are a few kids who do pick up their interest from driving the supra on Forza horizon and so on....
  14. Hi there sorry for your loss. This car sounds like it will worth 30K+ as this was a Japanese import you should be able to retrieve the auction sheet when this car first landed here. Contact these guys and for a reasonable fee you can have the millege confirmed. I'm not sure if they hold records for that long.. but is well worth a check. All the best with your sale. https://japancarhistorycheck.com/
  15. Interesting graph it seems yr 2nd turbo kicked in just before 4000 rpm
  16. nope, no boost gauge I can't seem to turn it 90... is turned in windows but not after uploading
  17. I know it is suppose to be 280 but they all did more that but how much more? I was hoping for 320 with an unknown exhaust. The whistle sounded like it has a boost leak. Here is the vid some thoughts would be appreciated. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8BZimnlQOf/?igshid=junc076stryw
  18. Yea is fair and a fairly a good job has been done on it to treat the rust, I have just found that I have some boost leak...Next thing to get sorted.
  19. Yea I think made the right choice and I am happy with it ... not looking to sell....
  20. Even over in Japan Stock unmodifed examples of TT6 are a rare sight, there quite a few clean modified examples there they are upwards of 4 million yen TT6 man. So about 35k to 40k by the time it gets here.
  21. Yes it had rust issue where the boot hinge is. The tachometer didn’t work. Both which Torque GT has sorted which was good of them. They have managed to source me a set of 17inch rims. Just need to get a carbon steering wheel now.
  22. I have paid close to 40k for my white TT6 last year from Torque GT, I definitely feel that I have over paid based on the UK market but then again I don't think I could have found one as immaculate as I wanted looking at used cars here. I bought the car based on the prices increasing in Japan and US . I felt like I have made a financial mistake or have been on the hype train from overseas demand. But at the end of the day there were very few cars for sale in the UK so I just made a quick decision as there was an overseas buyer who was also interested in the car. I think the appreciation in classic JDMs here is not as high as say in US , Ireland or Japan.. Not sure about other parts of Europe. Same could be said for skylines r34 gtr asking price will be around 80K for a bayside blue by the time it gets to the UK but who's got the money to pay for it here? People who do have the cash in their 30s, 40s to 50s are looking at 964s or 993s. There just seems to be very few of us who are into the JDM scene here, I say that because I am struggling to come across anyone who owns a skyline, or will watch Best Motoring videos on youtube. Someone who would buy a Supra Mk4 or a MK5 even would have an appreciation or knowledge of the JDM culture.... e.g. Ridox, Top Secret, nismo, TRD, Wangan, Initial D etc... To me it seems to be a lost culture here. I have just come back from Japan for Holiday... and I'm not even going try to compare the car culture there to here, but the problems is the young ones are just financing on Golf R etc .... making pops and bangs. In Japan a casual meet on a rainy day at Daikokufuto Car Park puts any Tescos car park meet to shame.... Another great example is the Retro Japanese magazine by Hub Nut was a fantastic magazine. However due to HubNut leaving the publishing company could not be bothered to find a new editor due to the poor sales. Even car models....Ignition Model do the Finest JDM models out of any brand I have seen.... who's even buying them here. I have to import these things. I could go on... great topic as this has been on my mind for a while now.
