  1. Having a few very small issues but it's causing me to worry so hoping to get it sorted so I can go back to enjoying my car rather than worrying about eveyr single thing... #1 - Very, very minor misfire at idle when warm. Like rev counter doesnt move, engine doesn't cut out but every second say there's a hiccough and the engine faulters, can feel it when sitting inside and hear the tiny 'thump' through the exhaust. Very very very minor, like I doubt anyone else would notice it. Car's running fine, plenty of power and no noticeable difference. AS far as I can tell the msifire became apparent after replacing the spark plugs - Used BKR6EIX-11 NGK plugs which are pre-gapped #2 - Petrol smell, I don't know if this is because I have a decat but there's a pretty rich petrol smell coming from the exhaust when I start the car or come to a stop and the fumes drift into the cabin (rarely) but when I get out I can smell petrol in the air. I've checked the safety warning thread and the metal brake/fuel lines under the rear sub are fine and no leaks or bad stuff. Charcoal filter is still fitted too. #3 - Getting about 18mpg for gentle a-road and maybe 20% town/suburban driving. Seems other people are getting 20-22mpg for normal driving even in towns. The o2 sensor has been replaced for a new denso one, brakes aren't seized (can't hear the pads dragging on disks at low speed, but when i coast the car stops quickly below 5mph but think that's the fat tyres/weight pressing down on them). Known issues that may be of interest/going to eliminate these and see where I am regarding the above niggles. - Coolant/heater hoses at the back of the engine weep when the heating's on slightly so drains the coolant a bit. - Front tyres are due replacing & probably need alignment - Fuel filter needs replacing (tonight) and fuel filter (K&N) needs cleaning and oiling Also what's the turbo vvti cambelt change interval times? 60months/90k miles? I think it was done two years ago at about 80k miles but not sure, one resource said it needs doing yearly or every 12,000 miles after the initial replacement

    BPU Mpg

hmmm, something must be amiss. time for a techhelp thread I think. Like I know my MPG isn't a disaster but a few niggles I have are making me paranoid that something is amiss with the car. I don't hoon it around everywhere, it's my daily drive now so at work every one or two trips it gets a 5 second blast up a dual carriageway when it's warmed up which I doubt would kill my MPG too much over the course of 90miles say Thanks for the input, gives me an idea of what I should be getting!

    BPU Mpg

    Hence the figures

    BPU Mpg

He was in London so may have been out of necessity I'm replacing the fuel filter, two new tires and aligning so hopefully that improves things. Seem to have a slight misfire at warm idle

    BPU Mpg

When I bought it the previous owner said he got 320miles to a full tank of V power but only motorway run I did returned about 270miles

    BPU Mpg

£25 at £1.15 a litre and getting 90miles with 75% A road and 25% town driving. BPU, standard boost, decat. Tiptronic vvti. Think I worked it out at 18.9mpg. Does this seem low?
  7. fuel filter change tomorrow & maybe paint up the brake calipers, getting a bit rusty & the Supra logos are fading. Headlights could do witha polish, since i did it last week one seems to be more yellow than the other now the polish has washed off -_-
  8. I thought the speedo was in KMH... That's astonishing You have bigger balsl than me as I'd want nothing more powerful than a 125... with four wheels... and some sort of rollcage... and a met- i want a car
  9. i agree with them but risking peoples lives by striking all he time is stupid. They're not the first people in the world to have poor working hours or unfair bosses.

    Soo Expensive

Well I'm now locking my Supra in an airtight, climate controlled vault...

    Soo Expensive

Don't go in on a budget For example I need two new tyres + alignment... £350. Same job in a Ford Focus would be maybe £120. Also some dings and things I'm not happy with amount to effectively a full glass out respray because I want everything 100% flawless which is going to be about £4k (50% of the value of the car when I bought it. The cheaper Supras you may see probably have been maintained as a "normal car" or on a budget and the compromised reliability and perhaps condition will reflect it. Best bet is to just save as much as possible and see if you can budget about £200 a month solely for Supra maintenance
  12. Ford Graphite Grey would be nice, bit darker than your usual gunmetal but lots of flake, glorious in the sun
  13. Mk1 MX5 EDIT: But upgrade the cooling, few laps on my local track and it turned into a kettle
  14. Who's the queen? All we have is dragons and Assembly Members here
  15. So at work yesterday I hit the button to unfold the mirror, left one unfolded however the right one stayed folded, so wound down the window and opened it manually. Drove back home, and when I closed the door there was a crack/snapping noise and the right mirror can now be pushed from left to right slightly as if one of its mounts has snapped. When pushing the powerfold button the left mirror works as normal but the right mirror does nothing - locked in open position, no whirring noise from motor either so it's completely dead. Any ideas / suggestions? Did try looking but only threads I could find where for if both mirrors stopped working
  16. inbreds, inbreds like this nonsense. I bet the guy has a lot of stuff dangling down from his interior mirror too
  17. Best to stick to forums or reputable dealers, I've been looking at Lotus Esprits and the consensus is avoid eBay/Gumtree for those guys too - buy off forums or this website specifically for selling lotus cars. Low cost performance cars = magnets for neglectful owners, so play it safe & avoid Trevor selling his proper mint 1993 N/A with tooning or Megaclit performancesports dealer in Low Wyoming with their fleet of japscrap...
  18. Not a soul minus mechanics whom I trust. Although I did offer my dad to borrow it for a weekend and the response was = "No way am I getting into that thing, your Alfa was fast enough" The Alfa being being a 180BHP turbo diesel...
  19. I don' thave a fuel cut defender, I'm limited to 90, ahaaaa!
  20. I'm after some front seat rails/runners or the entire seat/assembly if needed, hoping to swap some seats into mine without butchering my own good seats. also need a new PAS pump, facelift turbo VVTI, unsure if the PAS pumps are different or change with the Supra variants. Please send me a PM but will try to keep an eye on this thread
  21. These guys used to be "Top Gaiters" theyre very good, used them quite a bit
  22. in the pics it looks faint, take it to a detailer and see if they can polish out most of it
  23. burn them all please
  24. Think the poster will make out his car's very rare because it's silver judging from his write up...
  25. Caymen, less in terms of features but probably a more rewarding drive Plus I think the Nissan 350/370Z are hideous and have the interiors out of a Hyundai Coupe
