Bahaha, my feeling son Alfa car designers are they want to create nice cars... But don't really have an end goal in sight "I'll make the front lights square and the bonnet round, see how it looks"

Yeah the S2 elise i'd want as a preference - especially at £11k, but the Vx220 seems more 'daily' friendly and a few quid cheaper Think I need to sell the Supra and try a few things - I'm still pining for another Alfa GT
  3. Another cause... the heater control hoses leak, as soon as you spot replace them, currently have a wate rlogged engine head because it leaked coolant all over the coils & plugs, even the fuel injector rail. £53 posted form whifbitz for new silicon ones that dont have like 4 join in them leaving it prone to leaks -_-

Yeah the maintenance bit i'm not looking forward too, my MX5 was a joy to work on, so much space... my friends Mk2 MR2... nightmare! I wnat to get the n/a one, the turbo seems a lot of money for not much more benefit
  5. So I've been umming and ahhing about getting an Elise, but I don't fancy paying £10k for an old Elise, but a 2003 VX2200 for £9k doesn't seem too bad - lower MPG yes, but better engine and perhaps more refined than an elise. (more tunable should the need arise...) Any experience with them? As far as I can tell the only issues are niggles - water intrusion on spark plugs, dealer fix available, radiators go - upgrade to alloy usually done anyways etc My plan is to sell my Supra, use the money to buy a VX220, settle a small loan and perhaps get a cheap Ford Puma to use as a daily. My only concern is long driving with those seats but there looks to be some tidy AEM ones available. Any protips?
  6. he shot her after hitting her witha cricket bat, dude's a nut job
  7. I hope you leave elevenses outside the school
  8. Din't know they were a club insurer, would've posted in their thread about what happened. And yes they revoked my 8 years NCD despite NCD protection as a "precaution" against the other guy claiming... And then bumped up my premium because I had no NCD... They were decent enough, good prices and customer service but after this I won't be using them again, don't trust them at all.
  9. they tried doing me over too, this winter i went into the back of someoen due to black ice. guy didn't care so just called Sky insurance to let them know... they bumped up my premium and revoked my no claims bonus (depsite NCD protection) I told them in enthusiastic detail what I thought about them With Admiral now who've been great
  10. keep a record of times, dates and everything said
  11. get the 2.7 make sure it's looked after "One lady owner" avoid unless sabine schmidt hands you the keys
  12. If they're fusing over damage they've admitted liability for I'd tell them you have no option but to take them to SCC "AS you're not in a position to spend £400 to repair someone elses damage" They'll wise up when they see solicitor fees, court fees etc
  13. TG USA just got cancelled Matt Le Blanc Tanner Foust Sabine Chris Harris Rory Ruttledge wood Great line up
  14. there's a reason why most splitters like this have a small post in the middle, heat will fix it though

    Chris Wilson

I heard his eyes have lasers that can weld
  16. Update: "That's why she 'spittin" Car's struggling a bit under heavy pedalling, particularly after second turbo. Seems to misfire causing a lot of popping and banging. Buying Grade 7 plugs and will update.
  17. I'd love to get some replacement lenses, only so much polishing can do
  18. Eddie I don't mind but they're trying to turn him into James May. Chris Harris' vid was great
  19. I put mine up (similar but less modified with higher mileage) for slightly less and had a PM with a decent offer but a bit low considering how scarce these are. If you list them on AT or eBay for £13,000 I think you'll get quite a few messages and offers so don't despair.
  20. Just bought a set of 245/40/18s for my Lexus TTEs (£250ish fitted). Excellent grip in wet & dry, decent longevity and good quality and pretty cheap compared to the above recommendations so good for
