The High Wycombe cars may be perfectly fine but it is known the dealership under whichever brand they choose this week are known to be very, very poor. If you choose to look at a car that they (probably dont) have check for accident damage/repair

I thought this thread was in reference to how many men Supras are able to pull... The only car I've had that's interested women is a Streetka (borrowed from my mother)
-
You got it, I think they only came in Imperial Blue and yeah should be a good buy in value wise, I want a Racing Puma, VX220 or a TVR Chimaera as an alternative to putting my money in a bank

How dare you like something, I bet you drink the same beer brand every time you go out too!
-
Nah was looking for a week or two prior then that popped up, was a good read... Hopefully it hasn't increased the potential customer base!
-
Long shot but if anyone knows of a racing puma for sale, please let me know by PM

£5k to the right person, nothing irks me more than blended in body panels, it never looks good. First thing I'd do is spend £500+ having them ripped off, tidied and OEM ones put back on... Followed by a full respray

£1850 cash and the promise that he'll burn the wheels and kit There's so many better ones on ebay for £5-£7k that come with a warranty ffs -
Good call, think i know one of those through work too! i'm in Mid Glamorgan - Pencoed, any good?

Thanks for the feedback, it is a nightmare. I think it's a case of "damn I can't knock up something in a few days for £1-3k, screw this!" Will investigate option 2 route more from what you guys have said, I have a civil engineer friend she may be able to help with plans so that's one thing I guess!

^^ Why Paul Walker died, iirc the Carrera GT he had was on the original factory fitted tyres but hadn't been replaced as it was a dealership car that covered very few miles. Rubber hardens with age, cheaper tyres harden sooner and you may find cracks and splits along the sideall and perhaps the tread pattern too, my mum's spare car - a streetka with budget tyres had this issue. Tyres were over 7 years old

So I sold my beloved Supra (It feels like I've lost a family member rather than a car) to get myself an extension where my current detached prefab garage with asbestos roof is replaced by an attached garage with pitched roof wherein lies a new bedroom in a lift conversion type deal. Prices I've got from builders were about £40,000 which is too much on a £200k house IMO so scrapped that idea and want to get just an attached garage. Having a nightmare with builders because they come to my house, give me a rough price, go away to give a comprehensive write up & quote and then disappear or get in touch via mybuilder's website and the not bother actually calling to find out about the job. So I'm now leaning towards DIY, I've done very, very basic work e..g blocking up a doorway to my kitchen and have some minor construction experience in a DIY way e.g. a fairly substantial timber deck. So would like your opinions and advice. #1 - Pay a company for a new slab, brick walls, flat or ptiched roof etc in one go for £12,000 or however much a (around 8.4x4m) garage may be in South Wales #2 - Pay a brickie & his pal to put a slab, make the foundation stuff, three walls and then have a carpenter make a roof & help where I can. Based on online searches long winded & potential nightmare for organizing but can be done for about £8,000 #3 - DIY slab, pay a brickie to do the walls - the fiddly bit I'd hazard a guess, and do the rest myself #4 - Take a course in bricklaying and DIY it all over the course of a year The new garage will be used for car storage but also as living space. Utility closet and a minor man cave room. So would need hot & cold water and electricity. What would you suggest? Bonus plan #5 - buy my second dream car, a TVR Chimaera and get a DIy timber garage

SOLD - To a member too! -
sounds about right, i'm with admiral, 9 years NCB at 26 and i'm paying about £1k

Yeah I've changed the ebay listing stuff so there's no list of bad bits, but left in the brief condition description. I think you ar eright, a fair few people have commented saying it looks brand new so probably describing the bad bits isn't the way to go!

I think mine's priced at an acceptable level (If I'm wrong please tell me). Decent TT autos seem to go for around £9k, average-good TT6s at about £15k so mine at the £11-12k mark I think is 'just right'. Bare in mind it's a 2000 Tiptronic TT, close to OE and low miles at 85k so I'd expect it to be worth a bit more than say a 1998 TT auto

Just annoying, or I'm being impatient. Tempted to just take it to "we buy any car" because this selling lark is annoying me. Still getting messages on ebay about part exes despite a clear note saying i dont want a part ex/swap. "I have a unique GS430 for sale" go away
-
I've had barely any interest since selling my Supra at the beginning of the summer, about 3 people have been messaging but found ones local to them or stopped bothering. since putting it on ebay everyone wants a part ex... Adn then get offended when I offer them the part ex book value of their car thinking their ancient car is worth £10k :S

WTF the most crazy insurance renewal just came though.
cered replied to The Raven's topic in Supra Chat
cheapest i get is £1100 with Admiral everything declared, perfect background, 9 years NCB nice area etc etc at 26 insurance is literally a random number generator based off random facts about you e.g. "He works in a restaurant that's not licensed for alcohol... £100 extra, it's a licensed one... drop it down £50..." -
I'm 26 so I'm in that stage of my life where I have no idea what's going on I do worry that I'm not making enough money, not progressing fast enough etc. for example friends are earning about £30-70k a year and I'm on £22-23k working two jobs driving brand new nice cars and I have a Supra (which is epic but the third of the price of their cars - on finance i know but...). Gets a bit frustrating that I'm a few steps behind others which sucks. On the other hand though I know there are people who are older who are perhaps worse off, for example I own a pretty good house, I have my dream car on the drive, I don't have much money for nice things like holidays or buying brand new £1500 sofas say but I live comfortably without much worry about money. I have started looking at jobs in my field that are better paying, I work in It for a big company but the pay is terrible for the work I do but I think most people feel that way. So far I'm hoping through my positive actions stuff will eventually sort itself out. like things can change really quickly, e.g. OP you may get a new job next year that pays double what you earn now, or you find a new sport that you excel at even with the injury etc. Just keep having a life, don't be the person who dies before they're 30 and doesn't get buried until they're 70+
