  1. Hi all, did a search but come up empty; https://www.driftshop.com/adapter-kit-bmw-gearbox-toyota-1jz-2jz-engine.html Drift shop adapter, any good? I'm looking to buy an N/A manual and seems the w58 is crap so just perusing conversion options. If there's known good conversion adapters/kits please let me know!
  2. parcels2go.com are ok with internationals i think
  3. nahh AWD with a Focus RS 5pot up front!

    Audi TT

IMO there are better cars for the money, £3k would get you an Mx5 which outclasses the TT in every way - apart from seat count, perhaps boot space and how many toys you get
  5. Handling wise it's something else - haven't found a corner sharp enough to stump it yet :o Yeah has the asbestos concrete sheet stuff, is that's what putting them off - removal and disposal?
  6. So I sold the Supra to do some growing up & get a house extension/garage rebuild to replace the grotty prefab garage... Can't seem to find a builder willing to do it for some magical reason so going to give it another year to save more and perhaps employ a company to do it. Used some money to get a fun car to keep my petrolhead side happy (And because money sitting in a bank annoys me). So here it is; Ford Racing Puma number 8 of... Not many anymore!
  7. Spoke to GWR, they said that there won't be a fine & no penalty issued cuz it had already taken place or something. Guess it only happens if you get caught at the station/on the train
  8. So on Saturday I travelled from Bridgend to Cardiff Central via train at around 5:30am, and naturally the stations were deserted and no one was around collecting tickets. I know you get fined for avoiding fares so thought I'd just call them on Monday and pay up over the phone. so I called them up and said what happened and if I could pay retrospectively - Lady on the GWR helpline said I couldn't pay for the ticket in the past, she asked if I had been fined so I said no but wanted to avoid that just in case. No can do. Just sent them an email too with the same question. But just saw on my facebook feed that a lady was fined £600 for travelling between a substation in Cardiff without a ticket. Chances of me being fined? It seems pretty extortionate to fine people £600 for being unable to pay their ticket, particularly when you try to pay for the ticket after and they don't want your money
  9. Sadly no! Luckily specialist garages tend to respect their vehicles, like when I had some new tyres fitted to mine shortly before selling the tyre fitter said he'll take photos of my wheels before he replaces the tyres so I have evidence in case they get damaged (polished Lexus wheels) luckily not a mark on them but he got a customer for life by doing that. Any Japanese specialists near you? May have to pay extra but less fuss and fear, like Whifbitz I trust completely and I've only used them for an oil change service
  10. free wheel refurb, suspension bits, new bumper and front end respray
  11. I had dodgy bonnet catches, sometimes they wouldn't lock down & sometimes when they did catch it was only one side but had my faith they'd hold & no issues. if you're that concerned buy new catches or have your current ones checked over & cleaned out I guess
  12. No auction, just gonna get a posted price & take a best offer on that
  13. Getting quite a bit of interest, will get postage prices and pictures/condition appraisal tomorrow and do it on basis of best offer otherwise it'll remain as first refusal
  14. Cheapest way I think would be to chuck a TT Auto into it Having owned a VVTI tiptronic I'd thoroughly recommend getting a VVTI Tippy out of an Aristo and fitting if that's a possibility. Loved having an auto for busy roads and flappy paddles (check my thread for pictures & a very brief how to) for fun driving. The VVTI with BPU was an absolute joy
  15. Found an Active-Spoiler front blade (just the plastic blade, not the mechanism) in my garage. Excellent - mint condition considering age, some very minor marks that won't be noticeable when fitted. Not sure what the value is but will see what interest I get at £70 (Full spoiler setup is £120-£150?)or so, I can arrange postage but would prefer collection - I'm happy to travel a few miles down the M4 to shave 30-60mins off your journey if you're collecting. The spoiler can be fitted without the mechanism unit I believe so ideal as a simple splitter addition or replacing a damaged one. £70 - OFFERS Located in Bridgend, South Wales
  16. Nah didn't get that far fortunately! Just gutted he didn't have much in terms of integrity
  17. that's very kind of you, thanks Sadly the guy sold the car to someone who came to see before me - I was hoping to have first refusal as i had been speaking to him before he put it up for sale. I was even prepared to offer him £1k more than what he set as his asking price in the ad. Oh well!
  18. Hoping to go up to Sheffield to buy a car but just a quick question, I'm planning on trailering/transporting it back so that's fine however about payment I'm not too sure, I'm hoping to get a self-drive truck so I can collect it myself & pay directly but if this isn't possible, what would you suggest is the safest way to pay? If I were to hire a transporter company to do it can I trust them to let me know the car's safely on the truck, and then make the payment by BAX and they handle the V5 document? I'm going up to view the car before confirming the puirchase or should i make a deposit & then fill out the v5?
  19. Selling my daily, excellent car that looks like it hasn't aged a day. Will sell to a mkivsupra forum member for £2,300 with a BMW 330 300mm brake upgrade to the front. I think the cheapest comparable one (sub 60k miles, good history and M sport Coupe spec is around 5.9k on Autotrader with a dealer) but happy to take offers. Low price is because of a key mark on the side & a scrape on the rear bumper. Nothing major and HPI clear. https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/bmw-320ci-manual-m-sport-coupe-mot-fsh-leather-seats-59k-low-mileage-330328325323/1208774675

    Lexus LC500

Four words.... Alfa Romeo Guilia Quadroqueefio, sub 4second 0-60 and Alfa say it's good for 30mpg+ (although knowing Alfa no one's actually measured they just looked at someone elses twin turbo V6 which gets 32mpg and they assume their 510BHP one will get that too...) If the new Supra has got less than 5cylinders I'm buying a Fiat 500XL and calling my interest in cars a day

    Lexus LC500

Now Toyota need to make a V6/8 turbo powered platform share car for $30k less and less luxury/equipment but more handling focused
