  1. I also bought some new wheels a couple of days ago. They'll be delivered tomorrow. I was contemplating what i was going to do about my rear wheel setup. The drag radials are super cool but not practical to use frequently. I would assume they wont last long having only 4mm tread from new and being super soft! And i dont want to be buying new tyres every 2 months - especially as they're shipped from the US. Thought about buying a matching pair of 18x11s but they worked out to be about £2500 plus shipping and import tax. So instead i decided on just a complete new set of wheels and bought some replica Work Meisters. So I'll use the Work Meister reps for "daily" driving and then use the Welds for car shows/meets etc - basically anywhere i might get judged or frowned upon for running reps lol!
  2. Yeah it's good stuff, relatively expensive but tbh it just makes life easier and i know its proper stuff that wont give me a headache down the line. And yeah i often find myself just staring at it at work now, im very close now to actually owning my dream build Supra.. with the exception of a V160
  3. So I've ordered a new oem window motor from Keron, should be here in a couple of days and hopefully that'll sort the window out. Also got a few other bits arrived from Whifbitz.. new oem third brake light, polished expansion tank, Whifbitz rad hoses (only need the lower one) and a second walbro 450 Got my radium engineering fuel pump hanger set up too, I'll be running duel walbro 450s. Also got a complete radium fuel line plumbing kit on order too
  4. Hooked my battery up last night for the first time since relocating a lot of the engine loom / new engine etc. All the dash came to life and front and rear lights work which was a relief. Tried the windows and the drivers window went up and down nicely, then all of a sudden it just stopped? (At this point i didn't actually have the passenger door loom plugged in so the passenger window wasnt working either) I quickly realised why the passenger side wasnt working, plugged the loom in and that then worked fine but it didn't help the drivers side. Checked the 60amp fuse in the engine bay and the 30amp door fuse in the drivers foot well and they're both fine. Got my multimeter and checked power to the switch, the plug to the motor and even pulled back the gluey stuff in the back of the motor where the wires actually terminate - all of which show 12v when operating the switch. Yet when i operate the switch absolutely nothing happens, the motor doesn't hum, doesn't tick, doesn't get hot etc literally nothing? But I've never known anyone to have to change a window motor before? And it was working perfectly for the first 20 seconds? Cant find anywhere online to buy a motor from either!
  5. Got the alternator cable extended this evening, then got the bumper fitted First time I've seen the car complete and looking as good as this in 5 years! It actually shocked me a bit when i stood back and looked at it - kind of forgot how good it looks! just a couple few bits left to button up and then off to SRD
  6. Just read through this. Love the TS bumper and TRD bonnet combo. In fact I've been looking to purchase a second supra so i can do a body kitted one along side my stock body too
  7. Fast forward 2 months and it now looks like this.. Gave it a quick respray in Mercedes Obsidian black to match the Supra and the S class . Also fancied a retro 2 tone so did the lower half in BMW mineral grey. Think it looks pretty cool now. Makes me laugh how many bits on it are the same as a supra - obviously being a toyota from the same decade.
  8. Also.. i recently bought a truck. Always wanted something like a big 80 series landcruiser or something similar (bearing in mind 80 series landcruisers are well over 10k for a good one) so settled on a 1994 toyota 4 runner. 3L turbo diesel with a manual transmission which is relatively rare. Lad at work was borrowing it off a friend of his, i saw it and the next day i owned it
  9. I had to nip into work this morning so i grabbed some pics of the Supra whilst i was there...
  10. So with the exception of the front bumper and side pods, the car is now pretty much back together. Spent a good day on it today. Been difficult recently, bought a house i probably cant afford and also found out i have a baby on the way so all good! Desperately need to get this damn car finished. Today i got the passenger door and wing fitted and also a set of SRD rear coolant hoses for the heater matrix. Got the dash panels finished up and fitted the other day too - the only thing i actually remembered to take a photo of
  11. Hey Mike, have you had the bonnet dents sorted yet? If not, i can recommend someone that im pretty confident would be able to sort that all out without the need for a respray.
  12. Awesome build - very similar to mine in terms of body work although mine wasn't quite as bad!
  13. Some more new oem parts.. Front and rear hockey sticks and HVAC buttons
  14. Did an 8 hour round trip up to Northumberland today to pick up a good condition pair of front door cards as mine had been retrimmed at some stage and were looking tired. Been looking for a good pair for over a year!
  15. Big day today.. really i probably should have done this last after its final polish but i couldn't help myself. 8 years of being an NA owner and although it isn't running yet i just couldn't wait to put the supra turbo badge on! I have also fitted the exhaust, a 4" HKS titanium
  16. So this is straight out of the aqua blaster. As you can see they go very grey So i left them over night covered in trim restorer Then buffed them up the following day vast improvement from before. Will probably do another coat of the trim restorer though
  17. I got a bit experimental with my interior trims.. Like i would assume many people now, my interior plastics were looking a bit tired in places, just your typical scuffs and scratches etc, i had used the aqua blaster on similar plastics before to remove scratches but was obviously pretty hesitant to put my whole supra interior through it! I tested it on a single rear quarter glass plastic first as I'd seen a few of these for sale incase i ruined it! Massive improvement in terms of scratches! It does however dull the surface of its colour (however after 29 years of silicon based cleaners/plastic dressings it does make me wonder what the original colour would have been! Perhaps I've just taken it back to the factory finish?) i left it overnight covered in trim restorer anyway to put some of the oils back into it.
  18. Yeah all good mate thanks. Hope you're pleased with the car! Come along way
  19. Been gradually getting it rebuilt. All new trims and rubbers. Bought a full carbon trd spoiler - looks a little out of place but im planning a full carbon boot lid which will tie it back in.
  20. Had my local windscreen guy come and fit all the glass. New windscreen and quarter glass, original rear windscreen
  21. Those wheels look incredible. Meisters have always been my dream wheel in full polished with gold hardware.. perhaps once the rest of my car car is finished I'll buy a set!
  22. Got the wings fitted last night.. although after doing it i think its become apparent that you need to fit the doors first
