Another niggley little job ticked off the list this evening.. Clutch fork in, new slave cylinder installed, slave cylinder line made and installed with a new clutch hose (couldnt find a braided one but if anyone knows where i can find one please let me know) I originally installed a HEL braided clutch master line because it was advertised as a complete line from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder and so i assumed that ment it deleted the rubber hose and copper line.. but no, it doesn't actually go all the way to the slave, it terminates where the original line ends. Fortunately i didn't damage my oem copper clutch master cylinder line so i removed the HEL braided line and refitted the oem one. Figured an oem copper line was better than a braided one (even though the HEL line was purple and matched the rest of the bay) I then got it bled and installed the R154 inspection covers after checking everything was working as it should One of my colleagues took a couple pics of me doing it -

I think its the latter I hate the expense, but know it'll be worth it in the end -
Tried Keron, unfortunately no luck

Looking for a drivers (RHD) window motor as i seem to be incredibly unlucky as mine has failed - apparently these fail very rarely so if anyone has one laying about in their shed that they'd sell me I'd be grateful
-
I'll never sell mine. It means too much to me and I've invested far too much time and money into it. Sometimes i wish i could bring myself to sell it for none other reason than being able to save money. I wish i was one of those people who can save/invest money in sensible things and allow their money to 'grow'... systematically putting themselves in a strong financial position later down the line. I understand the principle, but my car just absorbs every last penny.. and i just allow it to happen

So good to see this! Weirdly enough i actually thought about your build the other day and wondered how it was getting on. I was hoping you hadn't given up on it but clearly not! -

Spent the last few spare hours I've recently had flatting, polishing and ceramic coating the bonnet and roof. Just going panel by panel. The photos dont really do any justice unfortunately also.. those work meister reps, i advertised them for sale at £1200 and got an absolute torrent of abuse on one of the Jap parts sales pages but.. potentially it may all be worth it because someone has offered me a straight trade with a 2003 convertible e46 bmw, black with cream leather. Hopefully getting it Tuesday. -

Yeah so the wheels are a bit of a failure but never mind. Its not like they were 5 grand and I'd waited 6 months for them. I'll figure something out - back to the WELDS. pushing forwards... got the expansion tank fitted behind the passenger headlight also, after purchasing a second walbro 450 i realised that I'm not going to be able to utilise the factory fuel pump wiring (probably for the best) so i bought 2 radium fuel pump wiring kits and after doing some research i think I'll be completely deleting the stock fuel pump ecu and triggering the relays via the Link G4 -

Wheels arrived... Fronts dont fit They hit my brembos and will need a pretty large spacer before achieving enough clearance so probably a no go! Ultimately it was only the rear wheels that i need and they fit fine - but i dont really want to be driving round with odd wheels so I'll probably sell these Meister reps. Shame because they look really good! -

I also bought some new wheels a couple of days ago. They'll be delivered tomorrow. I was contemplating what i was going to do about my rear wheel setup. The drag radials are super cool but not practical to use frequently. I would assume they wont last long having only 4mm tread from new and being super soft! And i dont want to be buying new tyres every 2 months - especially as they're shipped from the US. Thought about buying a matching pair of 18x11s but they worked out to be about £2500 plus shipping and import tax. So instead i decided on just a complete new set of wheels and bought some replica Work Meisters. So I'll use the Work Meister reps for "daily" driving and then use the Welds for car shows/meets etc - basically anywhere i might get judged or frowned upon for running reps lol! -

Yeah it's good stuff, relatively expensive but tbh it just makes life easier and i know its proper stuff that wont give me a headache down the line. And yeah i often find myself just staring at it at work now, im very close now to actually owning my dream build Supra.. with the exception of a V160 -

So I've ordered a new oem window motor from Keron, should be here in a couple of days and hopefully that'll sort the window out. Also got a few other bits arrived from Whifbitz.. new oem third brake light, polished expansion tank, Whifbitz rad hoses (only need the lower one) and a second walbro 450 Got my radium engineering fuel pump hanger set up too, I'll be running duel walbro 450s. Also got a complete radium fuel line plumbing kit on order too -

Hooked my battery up last night for the first time since relocating a lot of the engine loom / new engine etc. All the dash came to life and front and rear lights work which was a relief. Tried the windows and the drivers window went up and down nicely, then all of a sudden it just stopped? (At this point i didn't actually have the passenger door loom plugged in so the passenger window wasnt working either) I quickly realised why the passenger side wasnt working, plugged the loom in and that then worked fine but it didn't help the drivers side. Checked the 60amp fuse in the engine bay and the 30amp door fuse in the drivers foot well and they're both fine. Got my multimeter and checked power to the switch, the plug to the motor and even pulled back the gluey stuff in the back of the motor where the wires actually terminate - all of which show 12v when operating the switch. Yet when i operate the switch absolutely nothing happens, the motor doesn't hum, doesn't tick, doesn't get hot etc literally nothing? But I've never known anyone to have to change a window motor before? And it was working perfectly for the first 20 seconds? Cant find anywhere online to buy a motor from either! -

Got the alternator cable extended this evening, then got the bumper fitted First time I've seen the car complete and looking as good as this in 5 years! It actually shocked me a bit when i stood back and looked at it - kind of forgot how good it looks! just a couple few bits left to button up and then off to SRD -
Just read through this. Love the TS bumper and TRD bonnet combo. In fact I've been looking to purchase a second supra so i can do a body kitted one along side my stock body too

Fast forward 2 months and it now looks like this.. Gave it a quick respray in Mercedes Obsidian black to match the Supra and the S class . Also fancied a retro 2 tone so did the lower half in BMW mineral grey. Think it looks pretty cool now. Makes me laugh how many bits on it are the same as a supra - obviously being a toyota from the same decade. -

Also.. i recently bought a truck. Always wanted something like a big 80 series landcruiser or something similar (bearing in mind 80 series landcruisers are well over 10k for a good one) so settled on a 1994 toyota 4 runner. 3L turbo diesel with a manual transmission which is relatively rare. Lad at work was borrowing it off a friend of his, i saw it and the next day i owned it -

So with the exception of the front bumper and side pods, the car is now pretty much back together. Spent a good day on it today. Been difficult recently, bought a house i probably cant afford and also found out i have a baby on the way so all good! Desperately need to get this damn car finished. Today i got the passenger door and wing fitted and also a set of SRD rear coolant hoses for the heater matrix. Got the dash panels finished up and fitted the other day too - the only thing i actually remembered to take a photo of -
Hey Mike, have you had the bonnet dents sorted yet? If not, i can recommend someone that im pretty confident would be able to sort that all out without the need for a respray.

Awesome build - very similar to mine in terms of body work although mine wasn't quite as bad!
