  1. Yeah a front facing plenum. No my concern is not that the throttle cable won't reach, but that the throttle cable will be pulling from the wrong side of the throttle body. Hard to explain but if you think of an na manifold and throttle body the throttle cable is in front of the throttle body. So if I mount it onto a front facing plenum the throttle cable will have to loop round the edge of the engine bay and onto the front of the throttle body
  2. Yeah il be doing that with whatever injectors I end up with, good to know Chris Wilson does it though so thanks, and thanks for your advice
  3. Be warned.. Bushes are an absolute twat, I'm currently rebuilding my rear subframe and I can't wait for it to just be done! Not to mention they arnt cheap. I'm using superpro bushes which are supposedly the best polyurethane bushes you can buy and you do pay slightly more for them but subframe, diff, arb and all the control arms it's come in at around £700 and that's just the rear. It's easy to get carried away too. My subframe has been shotblasted and zinc primed too. Fuel tank removed so I could clean it out, then the whole rear end cleaned and degreased, hammerited and undersealed. Started out as just two knackered bushes being replaced and it's snowballed into a rear end rebuild lol
  4. A quick look on eBay has bought up afew pairs of rx7 injectors at £50 a pair, so £150 which seems a good price. What injector seals would I use rx7 or supra? Or would they be the same?
  5. Ahh that's why they seem so cheap lol! Because there is only 2! Ha I'd have been disappointed if I'd have bought them and only 2 arrived! So the 7m 440s are top feed? Thanks for your help. That's cleared alot up!
  6. Hello, again, Sorry if people are getting sick of my questions, but I appreciate all the help I get. Injectors for an na t build, I have had a look about and found some useful information but would like to clear afew things up before I spend any money.. My current injectors will be jspec 330 low impedance I believe. My build will hopefully bring me upto around the 400bhp mark so 440s won't be enough (read that ideally injectors shouldn't be ran past 80% and roughly 1bhp-1cc?) Being na they will be top mount, so I can't use the UK spec 550cc side mounts? And a tt rail won't fit na lower runners, But I have read that 550cc RX7 injectors drop straight in? (which also appear to be very cheap) Is all this correct? Any advice on which I should use?
  7. Just checked back at this! Thanks for all the help and advice chaps. Although I must admit some of the rather in-depth technical stuff does go over my head. My position is this: Na t, with a custom ffim (made to a very high standard) that has an oem throttle body compatible flange welded on. However I think the oem throttle body on a ffim will cause problems due to the throttle cable facing the wrong way? I figured using a q45 would be simpler and be better aesthetically, using a greddy tps adapter. I pressured it would also be better functionally too? Perhaps not? The car will be being mapped obviously going na t so that part won't be an issue
  8. That Supra has recently dropped in price by 5k too. I thought something seemed abit odd
  9. Ahh brilliant cheers guys. I just wondered due to the throttle position sensor etc. It's for an na t build
  10. As above^ Or will a greddy emanage ultimate be enough?
  11. Always wanted to see a supra painted that colour. Though I always imagined it would look terrible. But infact it actually looks awesome! You had some balls when you settled on the colour and it's definitely paid off!
  12. I can't help but think you are tarnishing your chaps reputation
  13. I need some advice/help with V bands please. I have a V band precision wastegate with a 46/47ish mm manifold side ID. I need to buy a V band flange which will be welded onto the manifold for the wastegate but I'm struggling to find one with exactly a 47mm ID, how important is it that it's exact? Could I use a 45mm ID flange? Or would that create a hot spot/burn the wastegate valve atall for not using its entire surface area? Struggling to explain it abit but hope someone will understand what I mean. Cheers
  14. Did you consider na t? That could have been done cheaply with your knowledge, drifting with a w58 though with circa 300hp? Your going to need Toyotas gearbox department on speed dial! I do love this thread though! It's a very enjoyable read!
  15. Hi herbie, please inform us of your new clutch once you have it fitted. I am currently building an na t kit myself. I was originally going to use the guy you used but then decided I wanted to take a punt at it myself. 3k is pretty good value for a drive in drive out. I've already spent 3k and I only have 3/4 of the parts required. It's much easier handing it over to someone to do for you, I have discovered that building the kit myself I want everything to the highest quality i can afford (that's just me) but because of that it's taking ages! I could have been boosting ages ago. Are you using an oil cooler? If not that will help with your oil temperature.
  16. For reliability use a cast manifold, you can pick them up dirt cheap too. I just sold one for £100. But as j_jza80 has mention your down pipe and inter cooler pipes aren't going to fit any more
  17. I too am very sorry for your loss, but your brother had great taste in cars. I have seen the post on Facebook and registering to this forum was a good first move. Everyone on here is very helpful and more than happy to lend a hand. I see you have mentioned keron has contacted you? Keron (if you don't already know) runs extreme performance in Leicester and breaks all things supra for a living. He will be a real asset in a project like this and is a really nice guy.
  18. ^^scrap that, you said James web, not mark. Haha
  19. Loved that! I very nearly bought those coilovers off of keron 3 months or so ago so I know how cheap they were! Only reason I didn't was because I too didn't know what they were and because there were only the fronts. Also mark web is a professional BMX rider turned drifter, from south sea Portsmouth. Bit of a celebrity in the uk extreme sports world
  20. Ok cheers guys. Fosta can I ask what Ecu you have opted for on your na t build?
  21. As above.. Won't be for awhile but just want to know for future reference. I have heard Ryan G doesn't map them anymore and a couple of other known mappers don't like them either?
  22. Need an na t manifold please if anyone has one?
  23. Looks really fresh!! Although, I'm no expert, but the position of that turbo looks abit awkward?
  24. Have you managed to keep the same Supra for 14 years? 14 years ago I was 10! Haha probably just watched fast and the furious for the first time too!
