  1. look forward to seeing it hopefully at afew meets. I see your from Leicestershire? I'm not far in Lincolnshire.
  2. I had the exact same happen to the paint on one of my old cars after having the front end resprayed. The blistering only occurred on the front end (all over the new paint) so it was obviously 100% down to the paint/prep itself. Unfortunately it was done as a cash in hand job and I was basically told to do one. If you've had that done by a professional body shop I'd be straight back to them!
  3. What a stunning car mate. Really want to see this in the flesh! James is quite influential isn't he, one chance encounter with him one evening a few months ago and I've now spent 3k in turbo bits lol. Currently na 5 speed. Your car looks sooo fresh, the red just bounces the light so well. Credit to you!
  4. Reverse light isn't an mot requirement so all is well!
  5. Ask skippyboyo1 where he got his/my car painted. Pretty sure it's called RT autobodies, I should know, it says it in carbon across my wings lol just can't think off the top of my head! Iirc it's in Leeds and the quality is second to none! And I'm also very very picky!
  6. There would be murders if that was mine and I'd have caught them
  7. What an almighty thunder cunt! Anyone got any pictures of his cars? I'm intrigued
  8. A day?! Bloody hell that was a quick learning curve! Was it a nice one?
  9. I have recently purchased a q45 from eBay. £50 and it comes with the correct flange. It hasn't arrived yet but il let you know of the quality. Hopefully all il need is the greddy tps adapter and a longer throttle cable.

    192mph ban

that's the best thing iv read all week!
  11. Ears look good if you have a TRD spoiler. I think they compliment each other as they both have that similar shape
  12. Once you get it fixed make sure you have the whole underside undersealed. Wire brush any old surface rust away then what I do is a couple of coats of satin hammerite then once that's dried a couple good coats of waxoil. All the holes in the subframes and hollow bits of the chassis are the hardest bits. Ideally you need a high pressure gun to shoot it all in and cover as much as possible for a really good job. A guy that does my shot blasting swears by used engine oil. Heat it up and shoot it in.
  13. Anything can be fixed. Have you ever seen the sills of 90% of MX5s on the road! MOT wise the rules state rot 30mm from any structural or mounting area of the vehicle is a fail. I.e 30mm from any of the trailing arm bushes or suspension components
  14. I made a recent thread about using a Q45 on a ffim. Some people said they had done it and it had worked fine, others got very technical (which all went abit over my head tbh) but I think the general point they were making was that a Q45 is far bigger than necessary and will require a remap. From what I gathered from afew people a q45 is ok with a longer throttle cable, greddy tps adapter and a remap. Or another member suggested using the tt throttle body on the ffim, I guess you would just have to have a flange made up and welded onto the ffim that would support the tt tb
  15. I developed fault code 42 it's pretty common. Remove the odometer and access the plug that plugs into the back of it. You then bridge two of the wires together (I found a guide on here which showed me which wires) then problem solved! As mentioned its never usually the speed sensor. Dry solder on the odometer can sometimes cause it too which is also cured by bridging the wires if I'm not mistaken
  16. Keron at extreme performance in Leicester
  17. I'd keep the recaros you have already and leave them as they are. Black carpet, black roof lining, flocked dash and A pillars, carbon hydrodipped centre console, led dash conversion with all the climate control etc done. Chrome dash rings, alloy climate control dials.
  18. Don't get me started on bloody front number plates... Drove around for a year in my old 106 with a smoothed front end and no plate absolutely hassle free. Smoothed the front end of the supra with no plate and had a £100 fine slapped on my windscreen the same evening! Rang up disputing it (said it had been knicked and that £100 for one missing plate was ridiculous anyway) and essentially got told to f*ck off and pay up. Refused to pay, had a couple of letters come through the post saying this and that but I'm pretty stubborn and continued to drag it out, Even had the copper who issued it stalking me to see if I had fitted a plate (I hadn't). Three times I caught him driving past my car to have a look, one time I was working on it and he stopped and made a remark although there was nothing he could do as the car was parked on my property. Then one evening I drove past him, he instantly spun his car round and obviously I knew what was coming (he'd been waiting to catch me out on the street) stupidly, utterly bloody stupidly I decided to out run him. As soon as I saw him brake and spin round I gunned it and left him as a blue glow in the distance. Felt awesome at the time I must admit but he soon found me later on in the evening while I was trying to sneak home (he knew where I lived! What was I thinking!) He wasn't impressed to say the least. Although his colleague complimented my car lol which probably pissed him off even more! I got a right bollocking understandably and was told I would be referred to court but never heard anything since
  19. Seems odd that your going to run wider front wheels than rears
