  1. I'd say 4k+ cat d really isn't anything major. A scuff on the bumper would be recorded as cat d. It's just minor cosmetic damage.
  2. I am buying the superpro bushes tonight. Me and Allan Massey want them along with a couple others. I'm going to see if I can get a discounted price
  3. Ok thanks chaps. Chris can you supply guides and seals?
  4. I'm doing it. You can get proper rubber tyre stickers made, I'm going to buy the large traditional TOYO TYRES sticker made and also my forum name made in the same font. Think the company is tyrestickers.com quite expensive at £80 but will be abit different
  5. I'm rebuilding an NA head ready for NA T and require some help please regarding valve clearances/lash measurements. I have found some information on lash measurements: Inlet 0.15 - 0.25 Exhaust 0.25 - 0.35 However I think these measurements reflect the gte and I have a ge. Are the measurements the same? Where can I buy new shims should I need them? Can I switch shims between buckets to meet measurements? Thanks for any help
  6. Doing engine flushes on older engines can cause problems, sometimes it's only the carbon keeping everything together lol
  7. Drop a tea spoon of oil into no.6 cylinder and then do the compression test again. If your result is better than 100psi this time it's quite possible your piston rings have perished. If the result is still around 100psi then I'd be looking at valve seats
  8. I'm going to leave it and put it down to a life lesson.. Simply because I don't want him retaliating on the supra!
  9. The fiesta was a little battle scared. It was essentially a shopping trolley and had the associated car parks dents etc.. The mx5 was supposedly very clean Both should have been worth around £1200 But yeah, I here you guys, it's just not worth it considering I actually made money. Just fucking annoying
  10. A light shade of gold I think would look good.. Little different too
  11. It's not the money that pissed me off, £150 is neither here nor there. It's the feeling that someone can be so dishonest to you. I was completely honest with him and over the couple weeks we were having abit of banter like mates... And now I know the whole time he was just preparing to do me over
  12. It's one of those times when you really want to hurt someone. Without them knowing
  13. Ok so this might be abit long winded but here goes. I purchased a 2007 fiesta 1.25 for £150 from a mate. 70k miles 1 owner from new, absolute bargain and it sailed through its MOT. Problem was I found it abit boring and working at Mazda I thought I'd swap it for an MX5. I've been at Mazda for only 6 months and never actually work on anything older than about 2008 so should have done abit of research first before swapping the fiesta for a 1990 MX5. I got chatting to a lad online who had an imported 1990 MX5 80k, really clean with no rotten sills. After a couple weeks of chatting and sending pictures of the cars we agreed to swap. Both had similar book values in there current condition and mileages. Now, I will be the first to admit I was an absolute bellend. We met in a services at 8pm (in the dark) spoke for an hour or so and then literally swapped keys and swapped log books and off we went! Who does that!! No test drives no nothing! 1) he could only meet in the evening because of work 2) suggested meeting half way even though I said I'd come to his house 3) didn't ask to test drive my car probably so I didn't test drive his 4) suggested we swapped log books too (so that he had the log book for the fiesta so he could send it off I literally fell for everything hook line and sinker! And to think my mates ask me for advice when buying cars!! Driving home the car obviously had a problem. Zero power what so ever. Struggled to get to 70mph Then when looking round it the following day I could see it had been resprayed badly, it was silver but obviously used to be red. Did a Reg check (didn't do this before hand) bloody cat C Checked previous MOTs everyone had advisories for rust underneath until last year when it failed... Then all of a sudden 10 days later it passed. Repaired?? Nope! Dodgey MOT Contacted the guy and was basically told to fuck off. Went to his house, he wasn't there but his dad was, spoke to him who told me his son had been stung before and that there was nothing he could do. So I left it at that. Sold the MX5 completely honestly to an MX5 breaker and actually ended up about £50 up so didn't lose anything. Would you just put this down to a life lesson due to all the stupid over excited mistakes I made... Or would you get revenge on the slimey little twat.. Bearing in mind I still have the spare key for the fiesta. I have thought about a hand full of sand, maybe the odd stone into his oil filler cap in the middle of the night, McDonald's breakfast and then wait around for him to drive to work in the morning (or at least atempt too)
  14. I really like it.. But.. Imagine if you fitted it and then 6 months down the line decided it wasn't for you. All those rivit holes!
  15. Everyone liking the engine? Why? They've torn out what makes a supra a supra and replaced it with what looks to me to be an American built LS1. Nearly as bad as that Supra with a viper engine.
  16. I'm going to make an effort to get to as many as possible next year. Need some supra fwiends lol
  17. Il dig them out. £5 will cover postage and if your putting them to good use I'm happy with that. Better that then have them sitting in my shed!
  18. I'm sure Toyota would probably still have them available but I would imagine the price would be enough to knock your socks off. Allan Campbell recently went to Toyota to buy afew bits and asked if they could supply a v160, they could, at the sum of £23,000!
  19. Mellonman I have a pair of clear lenses kicking about if you wanted them
