  1. Thanks man, iv checked and the rivets are removable on my wheels. They are basically just nuts and bolts. Tbh i dont think the front wheels are going to fit lol, il probably end up sending them back and getting the 8.5j. Enkies are awesome wheels man! I dont know what model they are but i like the dished 5 spoke Enkies that have split spokes
  2. F*ck that. Id be on a plane to the US to bang on the c*nts door! It makes me mad just thinking about it
  3. Speak to keron, he recently just ordered in loads of new trims such as door sills
  4. Got a couple of coats of the base coat on tonight and placed it next to the fire for abit of heat lol. Looks really good, little bit of orange peel to it but i expected that. Im going to apply about 4 coats of this which will then give me enough depth to give it a good wet sand which will smooth it all out before applying the clear coat
  5. Yes your right it is. Very very clean though! I saw it afew weeks ago when i collected the TT cylinder head from it. Shame he broke it really, apparently he cracked a piston and then decided to break it while still in positive equity with it rather than ploughing more money into it having it rebuilt, money he wouldnt be able to re coupe again
  6. Its paytoplay from here. I bought afew bits and pieces from him
  7. Whats the condition of the used one you have? Id be interested in buying that if its for sale?
  8. After 3 coats of high build primer and wet sanding i got a couple of coats of black under coat on tonight. The HKS purple paint i bought came as a 3 stage kit. Under coat, base coat and clear coat (4 stage if you include primer) Im taking my time with this and doing it properly. The last thing i want is to rush it and it only look mediocre. Nothing winds me up more than when you see a car that has clearly had alot of time, money and thought put into it but then has something such as this thats been done badly.. it can so easily detract from all the other hard work youve put in. People will always bypass the things you've done well just to criticise the one thing you did badly.
  9. I honestly think an original slightly tired looking engine bay would look better than a rattled canned engine bay. Your never going to get a nice finish with rattle cans. I thought about it with mine but then thought keeping it oem (even if a little rough in places) looks nicer and more original than a half arsed attempt with an aerosol. Il have mine painted properly once i get round to it.
  10. Its going to be very close for sure. I might end up having to buy 8.5j Are your aches rolled? Mine are rolled and ever so slightly pulled too
  11. They would but i wouldnt be able to afford them right now. My priorities are with the single turbo build right now. Then, once thats done and out the way il be on the look out for a nice rare set of quality wheels
  12. Ok lol what il do it fit them and take some pictures. I have already been talking with a company that will powder coat the centres shadow chrome though then id fit gold rivets and wheels bolts
  13. I think the gold wheels would look good but im worried about going to over the top with the gold. I already have a gold roll cage, gold calipers and gold stickers on the windows, im concerned that if i now do gold wheels aswell its going to start detracting from the overall look of the car
  14. Thanks man! Just need to get it turbo'd now but i want to do it properly.. then i can play with anti lag like you lol
  15. Thank you, yeah i remember speaking with you briefly i think. Im glad i bought the cage in gold.. i almost just bought a bare metal one
  16. Looking forward to updates on this Keith!
  17. Car looks lovely mate. Really clean with nice subtle mods is always the best route!
  18. The front wheels arrived yesterday and they weren't exactly what i was expecting.. I ordered et25 for the rear And et35 for the front. I figured in order to achieve the higher offset for the front they would decrease the size of the dish by bringing the face further out and subsequently pushing the barrel back which in turn ment id have a nice amount of room to add some spacers which would then push everything back out and provide clearance of my uk spec calipers... that was the theory anyway and perhaps if they were genuine 2 or 3 piece wheels that would be the case however these are cast 1 piece wheels and thats not how they do it. They seemingly just machine 10mm off the back of the hub face. Bollocks. Im going to send back the 15mm spacers and buy some 20mm ones, hopefully I'll just about be able to still squeeze them under the arches and clear the calipers.. its going to be close though! Failing that i will have to buy the 8.5j fronts
  19. How cool does that look!!!
  20. I have started disputes with them in the past before and won my case yes. However i have also lost a case with them when the seller could provide a tracking a number. However in this instance it just appears there may be more to it. Suprastore can provide a tracking number clearly, but are they providing the correct tracking number for the package in question. Either way i wouldnt/couldnt just write off 2 grand. If it came down to it id find the owner of suprastore and piss on their kids at Christmas.
  21. Iv just re read this and realised something.. Surely suprastore should have two tracking numbers? If they sent the ecu and the map sensor separately then there will be two tracking numbers for the two separate deliveries. My bet would be paypal have asked for a tracking number and suprastore have simply given them the one for the map sensor.. which has obviously been received and therefore been signed for etc. Ask for the other tracking number and tell paypal the above.
  22. I think the days of single 6 speeds being 18k are long gone. Well, atleast for a well spec'd clean one. 18k will still buy a TT6 but i doubt thatll be the case in 2 or 3 years time
