  1. Tim couzens in Stamford Lincolnshire does a good job. I have had alot done by him. Bonnet, wings, front bumper, sills, rear quarters and roof. Paid in the region of £1500 for all that. There are good people out there that dont expect you to sell a child. Sometimes i think people can be fooled into thinking the more you pay the better the job will be.. and dont get me wrong, in many cases that will be correct. Your never going to get a perfect finish for £300, but that doesnt necessarily mean you have to spend £6000. I think of painting like tattoos.. you wouldnt just go and get a tattoo off someone because they charge a fortune. You'd want to see previous work they have done.
  2. So today i picked up my wheels.. i was abit dubious about how they would look, particularly as everyone told me not to do it but the pictures speak for themselves.. I love them! So much classier i think. The gold spokes and polished lips were just too much and didn't do the car any favours imo. This is a vast improvement i think I had them powder coated in piano black and have just spent the past hour and a half fitting all the gold rivets. Cant wait to get these fitted!
  3. So are you guys meeting up with other members in Towcester services at 7.30?
  4. Cars looking really damn good man! Very impressed with the amount of brand new oem parts being used!
  5. I just took insurance out with Footman James on Saturday and was really surprised! Im 25. 0 no claims. Accident last year at fault. Sp30 with 3 points and £230 fine. All mods declared. 3000 annual mileage. Kept in a garage. Occasionally used to go to work in summer. £8000 agreed value with buy back protection. £360!
  6. Thank you Chris, i remember speaking to you shortly after players on facebook i think. Players was a good show Will you be at Japfest? We'll have to have a chat some time
  7. Or you could swap bumpers with me? I have a white jspec front bumper in very good condition structurally. It would want a respray though
  8. Haha no problem! I feel sorry for your first child.. poor thing will spend its entire childhood being asked by everyone he/she meets whether their dad likes motorbikes! Trust me. Yeah definitely going Japfest!! Il see you there!
  9. Hey Big Dave!! The turbo trumpet was just an ebay job, If you search something along the lines of turbo velocity stack you'll have afew come up.. its not the best, you have to use a silicone joiner to attach it to the compressor housing unlike the genuine HKS ones which are slightly over sized which allow them to slide directly onto the compressor housing and then tightened on by a couple of grub screws. The tyre stencils were directly from speedhunters. They are called speedhunters tyre bombs. Note they aren't stickers though, they are just one use only stencils, you apply them to the sidewall, spray over them in your choice of paint (white primer works best) and then remove them leaving behind the painted on writing. I then tidied up the edges with some tip ex and a permanent marker before dusting over with some satin lacquer. Il be doing it again with these wheels once i get them back.
  10. To be honest my misses is pretty used to me and my shit
  11. Yeah eventually il get the single build properly started but for now it all resides under the bed untill i can afford to continue with it. The misses did seem a little suspious as to why i keep it under the bed... i didnt have the bollocks to tell her the cost of it all lol. Im hoping the wheels are going to look good. They wont be permanent anyway, eventually i will buy some Works
  12. Been alittle while since i have updated with any progress so before i get too far behind i suppose i best get some pics up! Firstly, my replacement carbon TRD blade arrived. The legs are currently being painted 202 and i should have them back within the next couple of days or so. I also bought some Yokohama AD08Rs for the rear in 295 30 18. Got these for an absolute steal as they have been fitted and driven on for 50 miles prior to me purchasing them. I removed the main hoop from my rollcage in preparation for having a harness bar welded in. I bought all the individual pieces, notched ends, seamless bar, sleeves and strengthening plates and have taken the whole lot down to a welder/fabricator who will have it all done in a couple of days. Pulled out my old carpet which was just an oem grey one dyed black that i had unfortunately butchered the first time i fitted my cage. Its replacement is an oem facelift black carpet that i will be significantly more careful with!! Also picked up a spare front bumper... (say no more) Yokohamas fitted to my 10j rears As you can see the fitment is perfect (if your into that sort of thing) I havnt yet given it a proper road test but i have since raised the back up slightly just to give it that bit of extra clearance. My arches are already rolled. But as quickly as i got the tyres fitted and wheels on... i then took them all off again. Much against the advice of everyone whom i spoke to, i decided to get the wheels powder coated black. I just really dont like the gold.. its too much and think it detracts from the overall look of the car. So the wheels will be completely gloss black including the rim.. however i have bought gold rivets to break up the blackness slightly.. along with the TRD spoiler this is the look i am aiming for: Other than that its just been the usual stuff of cleaning, polishing and waxing lol.. oh and organising my turbo bits and pieces neatly under my bed!!
  13. Thank you. I have afew bits to do before japfest.. mainly regarding wheels and rollcage
  14. I would also be interested in these

  17. I would actually quite like to go back to those days. The cars actually looked quite cool in there own time warped right.
  18. Sounds like the extreme bhp car. Women owns it, cant think of her name now
  19. Whistler are a budget wheel that have a similar design the the second picture. Also rota D2ex are a similar design to the top picture
  20. Theres a company called suprasport that i believe they are both affiliated with.. possibly own? Im not sure. The pair of them both seem incredibly clued up in design and fabrication though! I have seen afew posts relating to them (mostly Arnout i think) whereby they have been producing new and exciting things.. one of which has been a billet GTE cylinder head and some sort of Vtec system. Cool stuff
  21. This must be the car that that guy posted about on here. There was a thread on here recently that got alot of attention regarding buying a high mileage car. That was a black 240k uk spec TT6
  22. Thats so perfect. Id have that over a rough TT6 any day of the week
  23. This car was advertised last week on the facebook sales page for £25k It was then deleted i think because afew things seemed to come to light. 1) all that kit and yet its being controlled by a Greddy emanage.. nothing particularly 'wrong' with that except hes asking 25k for it! 2) the turbo kit was fitted in 2002 yet the way the advert is written it seems to suggest everything is new. 3) the shell is a cat C write off 4) the SRD oil coolers are stated to be new yet a previous owner commented saying he'd had them fitted during his ownership which was 2 years ago. All of this was written in the comments on the sales post by previous owners which subsequently seemed to be deleted soon after. Not trying to piss on anyones sales post here but if anyone does see this car and considers purchasing it then they are things you should probably be aware of.
  24. 3 grand for a completely written off category B na auto... lol
