  1. So are we being allocated specific spaces within the club stand?
  2. Ahh actually after looking at his thread i think he's already bought some
  3. Speak to chris burlinson (carbon bullet) hes looking for some
  4. Maybe insurance companies haven't yet caught on to the sudden price inflation. I made sure to get an agreed valuation on my renewal incase of a total loss
  5. Poor boys wheel sealant is what i use. Good stuff.. smells like water melon too
  6. I think i would just do them silver. Maybe a slightly darker shade than normal though.
  7. Sooo.. Initially i was pretty pissed of with the wing after receiving it back from the painters. I fitted it in the dark with my phone light and noticed that on one part there is paint missing, however the following day i couldnt see it? Turns out its only noticeable at night time with a light directly on it. Still annoyed by it obviously but its not as bad as i first thought. It will be going back to be re done but not until after japfest now. In the garage where its relatively dark and with the flash on my phone. Outside in the daylight I guess its just where the paint is abit thin there, any how itll be sorted, but for now its not that bad. Now, im expecting abit of grief here lol. I fitted my blade at a slightly more aggressive angle, i for one think it looks quite cool with abit more tilt, but i know full well others with presume I'm a dick head and as of yet I'm not denying it. I like doing things a little different sometimes, since doing my tyre stencils I've had loads of people ask me about them, even seen afew pictures of supras that have done it.. same with my skirt extensions. So give it time and everyone will have stupid tilted TRD wings orrr maybe not?
  8. Picked my TRD wing up earlier, really happy with it until i went to fit it and realised the left leg has paint missing from it, the guy who painted it has clearly rushed it and missed abit. Pretty fucking pissed off tbh considering he's had it almost 3 weeks and kept promising it day after day and im pretty sure he's just quickly blasted it this morning quickly as the paint feels pretty soft on it still
  9. Welcome and good luck with the potential purchase of your first supra. One thing to think about though and im sure i wont be the only one to comment on this is the seller of that supra "Tom Harvey" does not have particularly good reputation among the forum. He has been known by afew names 'boys toys' and 'paul brown' to name afew. Each time closing down and reopened under a different name. Afew members have seen their old cars for sale on his page with substantially less mileage from when they owned the car, accident damage covered up etc. But with that being said, other people have bought cars from him and been very pleased. Abit hit or miss. Not every car he sells will be a lemon, but the lemons he does get he seems to try and cover up. I have looked at that red supra on his page and tbh it does look very nice, probably one of the nicest supras hes had.. but as mentioned proceed with caution, make sure you hpi check it and go with someone who knows what they are looking at. Dont be distracted by the shiney paintwork.
  10. Im really looking forward to getting the wing on later! The car does look really mean! The pictures dont do much justice tbh, it looks really wide! The arches are completely filled
  11. Thank you i also enjoy looking at other black cars for ideas! I have a Carbon blade TRD wing to go on hopefully today, my painter keeps delaying which is annoying. The car is very very clean but as with any car of it age it does have imperfections. There is a chip on the top of the rear bumper where i loaded an intake manifold into the boot a year or so ago and caught the bumper with one of the studs in the manifold. The windscreen has a chip in it which has recently started to crack. Il be getting a new windscreen through my insurance. The front bumper has a small area of paint near the badge that has reacted slightly. The front bumper doesnt meet the wing 100%, im going to look at this over the next couple of days. The drivers side wing has a small area of faint scratching under the paint and both wings i have touched up near the headlights. Im not too bothered by either of these as i will eventually buy a pair of facelift wings. The boot has a small area of paint missing where the spoiler sits. Im hoping the TRD wing will cover this however i do fancy a full carbon boot lid. The car is perfectly straight though, there are no dents in it whatsoever. I do keep the paint work very well maintained, i am careful while washing it and use good known products. Swirl marks are a total pain and you'll never completely avoid them but i find using a meguiars microfiber wash mitt, lots of ultimate shampoo, the meguairs large bucket (10 litres i think) with the gritt guard and lots and lots of warm water applying no pressure atall to the mitt it does keep them to a minimum. I will literally get through the whole 10 litres while washing the car, i also use snow foam occasionally. You'll see it at Japfest and you can judge for yourself what you think lol. Be good to meet you.
  12. The rotas were all wrong for the car though. The offsets were far to aggressive and it ment i had to run skinny stretched tyres which made the car very twitchy. These XXRS were a better balance and now they have been powder coated i actually really like them. That being said they wont be forever. I will in time be buying a set of Works.
  13. Thank you, yeah there is abit of negative camber on the rear that will be straightened out, also the steering wheel is slightly down on the left while driving straight
  14. Thank you guys Went to watch F&F 8 tonight and obviously took the supra.. first trip out in it this year! I have wheel alignment booked in for the 29th because i dont think its quite 100%, i have booked in with a company that have a Hunter system.. for those that dont know a Hunter wheel alignment system is the best of the best so should be spot on after that. Gave the car a very quick wash before heading off to the cinema, really needs a full decontamination again and a multi stage mop before japfest to get it swirl free for the 100th time.
  15. Got the cage back in and bolted down.. absolute bastard! It is such a snug fit. Only problem being that i didnt consider the rear door cards when designing the harness bar and therefore it wouldnt fit with the door cards in place, they will need trimming down abit.. not the end of the world considering i have already cut them to allow for the rear legs of the cage. Once in a got my seats back in and got the harnesses laced up. Finally i have harnesses fitted correctly! I also attached my fire extinguisher in the centre, for now its just a couple of cable ties holding it there but il buy a proper strap for it soon.
  16. I have always used the Meguiars ultimate range. Its not super expensive but it does do a very good job. Recently though i did fancy a nice hard wax and bought a tub of swissvax best of show. It was £65 and its tiny but the results were amazing. It is a show wax though and so doesnt last long but that probably wouldnt matter if the car isnt being used frequently. Swissvax have quite a large range of waxes ranging from £40 up and over £500. I have no experience with the super expensive stuff though
  17. Tbh i have considered the spoilerless look since removing it. The wheels do seem to make it work without the spoiler
  18. Thanks very much Carl. That means alot, particularly when i see all the other cars on here with much higher specs and wonder if my car will ever be in the same league
  19. Carried on today with the car, got the cage etch primed, high build primed and then painted satin black. Il be getting it fitted back into the car tomorrow. Also cleaned and degreased the front arches before applying generous amounts of ACF50 Then finished the tyre decals on the front wheels Before getting them fitted and finally seeing the finished result!
