Hi all, quick query about an autobox. Mine has an increasingly violent jerk in to 'drive' when it's a cold start. Seems to get ok once driven for a while. Is this normal and just because it's cold, fluid hasn't circulated etc? There doesn't seem to be any other issues. The fluid level is fine and still good colour. Thanks.

Hi all, not technically new, been a member here for about a year helping me find the right car but finally now I own a 2JZ. I have to say this forum has been excellent in helping a Supra newb like myself learn about these cars and helping me buy (I hope) a good one. It's a 93 TT auto mostly BPU except a boost controller. It's in what I think is excellent condition for the age. After enviously reading people talk about their first drive home, mine was amazing. Drives even better than I imagined and I've not even had it anywhere near full boost (wet roads, poor tyres and a Supra newb)! I was wondering if any of the previous owners are on here? It's silver, rear spoiler has been removed and it's a K reg ending GSG. Spent a lot of its life in Scotland from the receipts. Anyway I'll get pics up soon if the rain ever stays off!

Gaz- maybe I am being unreasonable but would you be happy with a new car requiring a new engine after 55k miles and 5years with a full dealer service history? At a cost of £6500 I'll add.

Yes however many people have had a substantial goodwill contribution towards the fault. There is a known fault with the tensioner and an updated part was issued in 2012 however no recall or advice to replace the part. It's just something I wouldnt expect from a 5 yr old engine with full dealer service history.

Thought I'd post this as a warning. So last week my 2010 Skoda Octavia VRS with the petrol Tsi engine went bang. Timing chain issue. Engine toast. Quick google search showed me numerous people have had the problem over the VAG range with Tsi engines. Something to do with the timing chain tensioner. Skoda have offered zero help due to being over 5 years old. So beware if you have one of these engines.

Been looking for a while now. I'm after an NA manual in good condition. Colour not really important as long as paintwork in decent condition. Would prefer facelift but not essential. Before I consider the import route I wanted to see what's available and maybe tempt someone to consider selling. Especially interested if anyone selling in N. Ireland as already wasted money on a trip across the water to see a car not as described shall we say. Budget £5-6. Thanks! Also wanted say I'd also consider an auto TT if within budget.

Cheers, I'm after a TT largely Unmodified, preferably auto due to being cheaper. Model/year not really important as long as it's in decent nick. Problem is only have a budget around £5-6k.
