There is a system called a MEGATRONIC ID 2000 ignition system from http://www.nitrous-solutions.com/ It say's that it's a switched timing retarder. Looks like this could be whats needed?? Paul.

So are you saying that if I fit NO2 with a 75-100 shot then retard the timing, I'm going to have to put up with crap performance when I'm not using it? Paul.

Well it's all anbout NO2 you see! As far as I can see after you go over a 75-100 shot of nitrous you have to start retarding the timing. I want to know how this is achieved and what adverse affects it will ahve under normal driving conditions? Is it possible to retard the timing on the move? Paul.

Back to the thread for a sec anyway.... I think the new car will be plenty powerfull enough for me for now - I think it's going to be quite a bit quicker than my standard j-spec TT Auto!! I will prob just invest in a CW second de-cat pipe for now! Paul.

Awww.....you guys I do want to come down for one of the southern meets when I get my car - I just have trouble justifying the cash for a long trip like that in a day or weekend or whatever. If I could get some pople up here I could problably arrange a day at oulton park or something... Anyway, back to your thread Paul.

I tried to organise one ages ago - got one bloke saying he would meet up. but he had a rover 220 turbo and his mate had a fiesta..lol Not my idea of a club meetup!! It's all tractors and land rovers around here! not many supes! Paul.

Hi, I'm up on add on bits and turbos but I'm not so hot on engine internals - I know what the cams are but what is a 264 cam? Sorry if it's a silly question!! I've never gone into modifying parts of the engine like that. Paul.

So it sounds like the best thing to do is remove the second cat and restrictor ring to 1.2bar and then fit a boost controller to raise boost as required from 1.2bar? By the way, I'm planning on a nitrous kit in April :-) It should be one mean car when it's all done! Paul.

Hi, Should be picking up my new car soon. It has the following mods: K&N induction kit, Front mounted intercooler, oil cooler, first cat removed, RSR exhaust HKS SQV. My question is if I get an AVC-R will I be able to raise the boost? or does the second cat need to come out? If the second cat does come out, will i be able to control the boost without a restrictor ring? Paul.
