Hi, I'm still having problems with my car. I seem to get a lot of lag when the first turbo spins up. I kind of get 3 or 4 psi boost, hesitation for about a second, then full boost. Anyone know what this might be? Dude put some iridium plugs out of another car into my car before I picked it up. Can swapping plugs from different cars have adverse affects? I'm gonna check the plugs tonight. Do Halfords do decent plugs? If so what make/model etc. Cheers, Paul.

What does the stalling problem that you mention feel like?? I have an old HKS bov on my car. I've noticed that sometimes the turbo kinda holds back for a bit after I have let my foot off the throttle. Is the the BOV causing the turbo to stall? Paul.

BTW, I started to my dash on my old auto. I only got as far as the gear stick surround though. It took ages to get the rubber stuff off completely and sand it down!! Why on earth did the use that stuff? Paul.

I was going to ask the same thing! I'm going to spray mine matt black. I think it looks much better! I'll have some wood effect dash covering for sale soon if anyone is interested? Paul.

Who said anything about reving and then putting it into 'D'?? Were you referring to JamesG's comments? If you were he mean put it into Drive, put foot on brake, rev to 2krevs then let foot off brake and floor it. The difference between manual and normal mode is this: Manual mode allways stays in the gear that you select. So if you put into 'D', the car will pull off from third gear. This is the same as first and second. If you put the car into '2' auto mode, it will start in first gear then shift to second when it needs to and then stay in this gear and shift down if it needs to. HTH Paul.

Lol. Everything sounded more or less normal. However, come to think about it, I didnt get a psst out of the dump valve when I let my foot off the throttle. I'm thinking loose hoses as well now. hmmm... Paul.

Yep, I've got a boost guage (amongst others). Thats how I know that there wasnt much boost Paul.

Dampness? This is definately oil I think. Paul.

Is there an easy way to check?? Must be nearly impossible to find a leak with all those hoses?? I notice a bit of oil coming from the intercooler pipe coming from the turbo to the intercooler. Perhaps this could be the suspect? Paul.
